Why are chart hits like this one never played on 80s radio stations? The 80s was a lot more than Heaven is a Place on Earth, A Good Heart and I Wanna Dance with Somebody!
I used to live next to the Ward brothers in Barnsley, I have fond memories of discussing the local councils proposed changes to refuse collection days and the deployment of street cleansers around the city . Lively and robust views exchanged on all sides ! Great days.
Great music. Another gem from the 1980s that was barely heard back then and never since. Love the music. It is a billion times more complex than the Stone Age sounds put out the past 20 years. 1:46 to 2:00 awesome sound.
It's amazing, isn't it? That, having lived in that golden age and having heard so much brilliance, that even when you hear something which you didn't then it's as though you knew it all along?!
In the UK it snuck into the bottom end of the charts right at the end of 1986,and entered the Top 40 a month later,in the last chart of January 1987. It peaked at number 32 in early February.
This is the version that appears on Now 9. There is a slightly different version though, which, IMO, is better. ua-cam.com/video/meF2S_ZKu4E/v-deo.html
I really looooooove this song!!! It brings me great memories of the glorious 80s... I tried to find it in Spotify and add it to one of my favourite playlists, but unsuccessfully. Any idea on how to get hold of it...? Thanks.
¡¡Gracias Eduardo!! En la misma cinta tenía "One of the living" de Tina Turner. Ese día me emocioné.
Now 100 hits forgotten 80’s When it appears on the next compilation album. I don’t know when it will happen. I can’t wait for Now 9 to come out on CD when Now That’s What I Call Music! 109 comes out :)

Absolute gem. Forgotten 80s gem
What a treat! I have not heard this song in years. Thank you.
I purposely went looking for this after I woke up with it on my mind! A great way to tackle the earworm! Thank you for uploading, I love it!
An earworm it is indeed. Great to hear it again.
it reminds me of moving to wales and living with my aunty in 87 great memories
The LP "Madness of it all" is absolutely brilliant. Sure this is it's finest moment, but there are plenty more.
Very good song, hasn't aged.

I have this song on the compilation album 'This Is 1987'
I remember this being a minor Top 40 hit in January/February 1987 but this is the first time I've seen the video.
great 80s song!!
Now 9
I hope this appears on the CD version of Now That’s What I Call Music! 9 when Now 109 comes out :)
And it did!
This is the version that appears on Now 9.
There is a slightly different version though, which, IMO, is better.

Now That's What I Call Music! 9
Seen these live supporting the psychedelic furs in 1986. But didn't really hear much else from them

Se parece a un tema. Del año 1981

(Gente!¡ que plomo LOS ANUNCIOS ACÁ!! JAJAJAJA
Tremendo aporte estimado. Atte. MQ.
Heavily underestimated! This band could have competed with Kajagoogoo and such
very interesting
Thanks again to Matthew Rudd's Forgotten 80's Show for Reminding me of this Good Track from this British Pop/Rock Band!.
me too !!! tis a good show
Sadly I can't find it on Apple Store or Spotify so that I can download it. Great track from that year.
There are some UA-cam to mp3 websites outhere where you can convert the video to mp3. Easy to use. Try it.
Thanks Michel
Why didn’t they go on Top Of The Pops despite it appeared on Now That’s What I Call Music! 9
I consider this song a cult classic
Why the hell that version is so different than in the CD?
This is a single remix version of Maxi single, also the audio of one video version.
These lads should have been mega. If you were lucky enough to hear the demos made in their attic you'd understand. Don Waz completely fucked em
Would love to hear those!
These guys were so much better than this cheesy video makes them appear.
