@@Hannaholson7 A Chirstmas Story Christmas is pretty good too (and unlike the other sequels have the original actors as well). A former coworker of mine was Randy Parker in A Christmas story (it was a zombie themed escape room). Super cool guy as well, a lot of insight in the film industry
I love Jim Carrey so much but Michael Caine is THE perfect Scrooge and I love how his seriousness holds up even when he is surrounded by the Muppets. Not even Patrick Stewart version can compare and that says a lot.

I agree, but I always watch it in early November, because it leans more a Halloween movie. It came out in October, and the Director has said it is a Halloween movie.
@GillianHorsburghof course Tim Burton said it was a Halloween movie. All of his movies are Halloween movies. But he also said black people “don’t fit his aesthetic”, so maybe take his opinion with a grain of salt…

I just saw Red One today. Its my new favorite Christmas movie. Although, the classics I grew up with will never be truly dethroned. Elf, Nightmare before Christmas, and Jim Careys The Grinch will always have a special place in my heart ❤️
I loved it too! And, another new one this year that, is right there with Edward Scissorhands and Die Hard being christmas movies: Netflix Carry-On. Loved it
Kris shooting the screen was awesome, 10/10 performance! I grew up watching the old Rankings-Bass TV specials (reruns, of course) and they are the greatest.
“I am so proud of you!” I quote How the Grinch Stole Christmas waaaayyyy too much. I had a DVD with a trivia game on it and it would use quotes when you got things right or wrong. 🤣
Completely threw me that It's a Wonderful Life wasn't in there - BUT, I did just drive passed the Jimmy Stewart Museum tonight and gave his statue a little nod, so I'm a bit partial. I haven't ranked them, but It's a *Wonderful Life, Muppet Christmas Carol, National Lampoons Christmas Vacation, animated Rudolph the Rednose Raindeer, Merry Christmas Charlie Brown, and Die Hard* are on my required watch list every year (I just love Die Hard and it comes up at Christmas because of the controversy, so I don't care if it is or isn't - I'm watching it).
I love that movie! My dad absolutely HATES that movie though. The reason, believe it or not, is because he hated the Jimmy Carter Administration, and he blames Chevy Chase for helping Carter get elected president. And no, I did not say that made sense.
Me seeing Kris putting Elf: Mom! Come here! She put the movie you were in! My mom: Yay! For context: My mom was in the scene where Will Ferrel was in the window of a store, if you look in the reflection of the window, you will see the reflection of a white jacket. Every time we watch the movie, my mom points it out saying "That's me! That's my white jacket!"
Christmas Vacation is the GOAT for Christmas movies, my second favorite is A Christmas Carol with Patrick Stewart, and third place I'm giving to Die Hard. Merry Christmas!

Love you Kris!!! We all say in unison while waking from our depression and loneliness of the holidays as she makes us all happy for the next 56 minutes and 39 seconds
Home Alone was the first movie I ever saw in a theater! I was 5 years old and I remember it SO vividly! The intro song scared the crap out of me and I wanted to leave and I remember my aunt saying “Don’t worry little Jessi… it’s not scary I promise. It’s a funny movie.” I remember getting scared AGAIN when Buzz was talking about the old man with the salt. I got into my mom’s lap and hid my face in her shoulder until they started talking about pizza. I was a rabid pizza lover when I was little and I started watching the movie and ended up loving it and we went back to watch it 2 more times. Crazy how well I can remember that 34 years later.
The reason I love polar Express is because every year my mom and dad let us watch it on Christmas Eve every year, and give us hot chocolate when they get hot chocolate in the movie. Although it is not my favorite Christmas movie.
Nightmare before Christmas is a Christmas movie!! 🎄and I completely forgot about the Barbie movies! That one was my favorite as a kid! Your video was a blast from the past!! Loved it, Kris!
I love you a bunch. Thanks for always being so open with us. A lot of similarities that keep me engaged and feeling seen. Merry Christmas to you and Caleb.
The Island of Misfit Toys made me cry. I wanted to love and play with all those toys. I'd cry every time they came on because I loved them so much and I wanted to tell them. Now I know the symbolism of them, and looking at my friend group/husband, all of us were in some form or another "misfit toys" who happened to find each other. We are truly a big family and I love this for us. I'm now also this way as an adopter of cats with Feline Leukemia Virus, as they are considered special needs. Even higher on my list is if they also have additional quirks that may deter others (loss of eyes or limbs, shy..)
A Christmas Story will always be my favorite. I love watching it with my dad. He cracks up every time! Second for me is National Lampoons. Chevy Chase and the outside lights! 😂
I freaking love the Klaus! I’ve always loved those Christmas movies where they’re not pushing the whole christmas thing in your face, also the animation is f-ing sick
It's a wonderful life, white Christmas, and the original miracle on 34th Street were the traditional movies in our house. My favorite is It's a Wonderful Life.
I grew up with them and I've always loved them ^^ watching all the stop motion movies on Christmas Eve is a family tradition, then we watched a very specific version of Christmas Carol, the one with Alastair Sim because that version is my mom's favorite one
Christmas with the Kranks is me and my husb's mandatory first Christmas movie watch every year!! Can't watch anything else until we've seen the Kranks, pretty sure that start when the movie came out! Also, my mom bought my husb a Jelly of the Month club advent calendar for Christmas, so cute!!
I love the Rankin-Bass stop motion Christmas specials but my fav of all time will always be the animated Grinch with Boris Karloff doing the narration. 💗
Michael Caine’s performance as Scrooge in Muppets Christmas Carol should’ve put it over Jim Carrey. It’s not often a person steals scenes from the Muppets, he stole the whole movie.
I can't believe you didn't mention Scrooged with Bill Murray. That's my absolute favorite Christmas movie. It's such a good twist on the Christmas Carol trope
You missed Santa Claus the movie from 1985 with Dudley Moore, John Lithgow and David Huddleston as Santa, I grew up with this film. Very nostalgic for me, it gives all the feels ❤
But Aurelia in Love Actually speaks Portuguese, not French and you literally forgot to mention Martin Freeman and Thomas Brodie-Sangster (the little boy) who has had a huge career since then and literally had a major role in Game Of Thrones and is an amazing voice actor. Fun fact: he is the voice of Ferb from Disney series Phineas And Ferb. His love interest and later girlfriend in the show is, drum roll, the girl from Love Actually that his character was in love with!!! ❤
Thomas Brody-Sangster was also the oldest not in Nanny Mcfee. And he has even played a young Paul McCartney in a tv movie about the early start of the Beatles
You're telling me that you lost the opportunity of putting up Rise of the Guardians against Jack Frost?? OmG 😱If you haven't watched it, watch it PLEASE. By the way, my top Christmas movies are The Grinch Who Stole Christmas, Rise of the Guardians, and A nightmare before Christmas. Happy New Year! 🥳
Same, I think it's the best version because it sticks to the story pretty faithfully but is entertaining. I've seen a lot of entertaining ones that didn't quite stick to the story like Scrooged, and I've seen a lot of versions that stuck very closely to the story but were very boring, including the Disney version which I saw in New York City at the premiere and was fighting to stay awake... It's a little weird to me that she was weirded out by the animation for The polar Express but not for the Disney Christmas Carol because to me they are very similar in that uncanny Valley motion capture way.
@@blissfullycat02I agree, not a huge fan of Jim Carey Christmas Carol or Polar express because of animation. I think Kris is just really big Jim Carey fan lol he should have stopped at the Grinch who stole Christmas.
Exactly because to me a Christmas movie is absolutely a Christmas movie if you take a Christmas out of it and it doesn't really make sense... You take Christmas out of that movie and you don't have a movie. It's like there've been discussions over what I consider my favorite Christmas movie, Gremlins but the reason Gizmo ended up where he did in the first place was because the father was looking for a Christmas gift and a lot of the gags were reliant on the fact that it was Christmas. That's why I think there's discourse over Die hard or Edward scissorhands because if you took Christmas out it could still work, like it could be an office party for them landing a big contract or New Year's or a retirement party, and Edward scissorhands is sort of over an entire year and one small section is Christmas so technically you could remove the Christmas from both and it would still work, especially because the whole sculpture/snow part isn't as much related to Christmas as it is winter and it can be winter without it being Christmas.
It came out in October and the director has said it is a Halloween movie, I personally think it's more of a Halloween movie, but I always watch it in November.
No way you put Jim Carrey Christmas Carol over the Muppet Christmas Carol! I audibly gasped. I had the Muppet one on VHS as a kid and I watched it every Christmas. It's the best. ❤️
No one really cares, happy holidays is to be more tolerant to people who might not celebrate Christmas, but all my Jewish friends just say thank you to merry Christmas. Say whatever you want.
Merry christmas and happy holidays!!! When i think of christmas movies the grinch is the first one that pops up! Definitely a few here I havnt seen that I want to now! Thank you for doing a holiday themed video! Absolutely loved it!!
One of my all time favorite christmas movies is It Happened on 5th Avenue. It's from 1947 and it still gets me every time. In that same vein, Shop Around the Corner is also a great christmas movie
I know people praise “Elf” but truthfully I cannot stand it 😵💫 in general I just don’t like Will Ferrell movies, not in my humor lane. The older classics are the ones I’ll watch more often. “The Year Without a Santa Claus” as one of the older stop motion films is stupendous and also has its humorous moments…underrated as heck.
I don’t have a favorite Christmas movie because my taste changes every year. A new one that I like is Violent Night. As the title suggests, it is violent. However, it has some funny parts too. White Christmas is very special to me. I love the singing and dancing. Danny Kaye was an amazing actor. Like Jim Carrey, his physical comedy was stellar. Thanks for a fun episode. Merry Christmas to you and Caleb.❤
Here are some of my favorite Christmas movies - * The Princess Switch * A Christmas Prince * The Knight Before Christmas * Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey * Disney’s The Santa Clause * Disney’s Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas * Disney’s Olaf’s Frozen Adventure * Most royal romance Christmas movies * A Christmas Carol( the musical too) * The Christmas Chronicles * Scrooge: A Christmas Carol (the animated Christmas musical on Netflix) * Spirited I can’t remember others but I also love The Nutcracker which I watch year round.
I was a little sad that you removed the Muppets Christmas Carol early on, however How the Grinch Stole Christmas was a extremely solid choice for the number one spot👍also you made me want to watch Four Christmas, I actually just had a great conversation about it relating to my life today😂
So cool you really love the shows I grew up with: Santa Clause is Coming to Town and Rudolph the Rednosed Reindeer. Amazing how those shows cross generational lines despite the rudimentary stop motion filming. I love those Christmas specials! Waited every year for them to come on TV. ❤
16:37 did you not have a childhood? How are you going to put Polar Express BELOW klaus? The animation is not the same and the story is not either. Polar Express was ahead of its time and a staple in many people's childhood, it is a beautiful and magical movie.
One of my Favorites is Scrooged with Bill Murray! You didn't mention that one. It is a MUST see. I love Christmas Story as well. Can't believe you don't like that one. It's a Classic and I have to see it every year. Merry Christmas and Happy New year!
I just watched Rudolph with my family today!!! Also, putting it’s a wonderful life and white Christmas up against each other?! MAN that’s hard!! (I choose it’s a wonderful life, personally; SO good.) Merry Kris-mas!! ❤🎄
Klaus is the best Christmas movie or even one of the best movies in general it's heart warming and it's very cute but also sad and it's tints of paranormal makes it even better, the way it's just the origin story makes so much more interesting and it's just a amazing movie in general!
As someone who also watches White Christmas every year, I'm so happy to see it finally getting the attention it deserves! Bummed it didn't win but major respect to Jim Carrey. Fun list all around, Merry Christmas!
Nightmare Before Christmas is my girls' favorite movie haha, so my son also loves it because his sisters do. He always points out Jack decorations around town lol. "It's Jack, the pumpkin king!" Haha.
The muppets Christmas Carol is my all time favorite, and I feel it sums up Scrooge better than all the others in one line in one song "Even the vegetables don't like him"
Those were some tough selections❗️ I’m like your Mom’s age, so I had a tendency to go for the older films in the brackets but it was good to see them paired; but now I gotta sit down and watch a boatload of Christmas Movies that I forgot about ~ Thanks 🎄 Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas to everyone!! Sorry, but in 18:50 when you said that "Frosty the Snowmann" was up against "The Nightmare before Christmas", I was like: okay, frosty the snowmann had no chance 😂 the nighmare before Christmas, is one of my favorite movies of all time 😍 we actually had a vhs record taken of it back then😄 one of my favorite christmas tv shows is a german kids show called: "Weinachtsmann und Co. Kg", which is about Santa Claus helping children all around the world with his three helpers and Grantelbart ("Gruzzlebeard") who is essentially the bad guy that tries to ruin Santa Claus and also has a helper. Definitely a favorite, watched it since childhood and is lots of fun with beautiful messages.
“Merry Christmas or happy holidays- or whatever the hell you wanna hear I don’t know anymore” 😂😂😂
😅
This year I’m saying Merry Christmas to customers… sorry I was born and grew up in the USA and if someone does not like it .. ohhh well .

I grew up with them and I've always loved them ^^ watching all the stop motion movies on Christmas Eve is a family tradition, then we watched a very specific version of Christmas Carol, the one with Alastair Sim because that version is my mom's favorite one
Grew up with the stop motion movies too.
"It's a Wonderful Life" is the winner for me.
Me too I love it because it's so heavy emotionally
Christmas with the Kranks is me and my husb's mandatory first Christmas movie watch every year!! Can't watch anything else until we've seen the Kranks, pretty sure that start when the movie came out! Also, my mom bought my husb a Jelly of the Month club advent calendar for Christmas, so cute!!
A Christmas Story should have won it all!!! How can anything top the Bunny Suit and the Duck Head???? Omg Soooo funny 😂😂😂😂😂😂
He looks like a demented Easter bunny!!! 😮😊
That's the funniest Christopher Walken impression I've ever seen 😂😂. Merry Kris-mas, Kris!
The best Christmas movie ever....Grumpy Old Men, would be a blast to see Kris watch that. LOL!
I love the Rankin-Bass stop motion Christmas specials but my fav of all time will always be the animated Grinch with Boris Karloff doing the narration. 💗
After Muppets, the animated Grinch is also my favorite
Love the animated Grinch and all the stop motion movies.
Showing our age.
Jim Carrey above the Muppets is diabolical 😅
Michael Caine’s performance as Scrooge in Muppets Christmas Carol should’ve put it over Jim Carrey. It’s not often a person steals scenes from the Muppets, he stole the whole movie.
A Christmas Story is goated. My all time favorite Chirstmas movie. I do love that you're giving Krampus love because it's one of my favorites aa well.
YESS KRAMPUS! Christmas and horror in one!
4:43 my brain during math 😂
MERRY KRIS-MAS!!! Much love to you and Caleb-Face! 🎄❤💚
This was so fucking smart 😂
1:05 the best Christmas movie is the Santa Claus with Tim Allen. When that came out I watched it about 15 times.
I knew exactly what you were trying for in the intro. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 My dad's a Walken fan. I died laughing when he was on SNL.
I can't believe you didn't mention Scrooged with Bill Murray. That's my absolute favorite Christmas movie. It's such a good twist on the Christmas Carol trope
Fun Fact about How the Grinch Stole Christmas is that Cindy-Loo-Who was only two in the original not six
“Cindy-Loo-Who, who was no more than two…. “. Now THAT’S how it goes…
You missed Santa Claus the movie from 1985 with Dudley Moore, John Lithgow and David Huddleston as Santa, I grew up with this film. Very nostalgic for me, it gives all the feels ❤
❤❤
Santa Claus the Movie only seemed to be popular for a 5-10 year window. It seemed like they quit showing it on TV.
You had 3 of my top 4 in your finals but you did The Muppets Christmas Carol dirty lol. Merry Christmas!
Same. This is the best rendition of Dickens' Carol and Michael Caine deserves an Oscar for his performance. I will die on this hill
@@akvanvuuren dig an extra hole lol I'm on the hill with you
@@blissfullycat02I agree, not a huge fan of Jim Carey Christmas Carol or Polar express because of animation. I think Kris is just really big Jim Carey fan lol he should have stopped at the Grinch who stole Christmas.
I actually love Kris she's so funny and when I watched her for the first time she changed me😽💜
18:26 Nightmare Before Christmas IS in fact a Christmas movie!!
Hell yes it is my friend
Absolutely! ❤
My bf and i truly bonded over that grinch movie and we quote it year round, constantly!!! Im glad it won! ❤
Elf will always be the best Christmas movie to me, hands down. I just love how accepting and kind his elf family were.
True classic
fr, just watched it a couple hours ago and every time i watch it i love it all over again
🤣😭 Elf makes me so mad. I wanna punch 👊🏻 him. I can't stand Will Farrell.
And lets be honest, Walters family was far too good for Walter
kris for every movie: u guys should watch it 🙌🏽
0:28 we can now say Merry Christmas. And if somebody complains about the words you tell them to..... Get bent!
Where were you? We could always say marry Christmas.
No one really cares, happy holidays is to be more tolerant to people who might not celebrate Christmas, but all my Jewish friends just say thank you to merry Christmas. Say whatever you want.
If you correct me when I say happy holidays, I automatically wish you a shitty new year.
@Sherip1025 I wish you Christmas holiday? Lol
HOW DARE UA-cam HIDE THIS FROM ME FOR 1 MINUTE
One hour for me ! The nerve 🤨
2 hours for me... the disrespect 😤
MARRY CHRISTMAS I HOPE YOU AND CALEB HAVE A GREAT CHRISTMAS 🫶🫶🫶🎄
I know people praise “Elf” but truthfully I cannot stand it 😵💫 in general I just don’t like Will Ferrell movies, not in my humor lane. The older classics are the ones I’ll watch more often. “The Year Without a Santa Claus” as one of the older stop motion films is stupendous and also has its humorous moments…underrated as heck.
Year Without a Santa Claus is so underrated
Can't stand will Ferrell.
Elf🤮
Agree 😅
Fred Claus is much better than Elf, but that is like comparing a Ferrari to a go-kart.
Muppet chirstmas Carol is the absolute best chirstmas carol story... micheal cain being so serious is the best thing ever.
Merry Christmas to you and Caleb.❤
the earliest i’ve ever been love you kris
Me too
Here are some of my favorite Christmas movies -
* The Princess Switch
* A Christmas Prince
* The Knight Before Christmas
* Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey
* Disney’s The Santa Clause
* Disney’s Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas
* Disney’s Olaf’s Frozen Adventure
* Most royal romance Christmas movies
* A Christmas Carol( the musical too)
* The Christmas Chronicles
* Scrooge: A Christmas Carol (the animated Christmas musical on Netflix)
* Spirited
I can’t remember others but I also love The Nutcracker which I watch year round.
3:04 since when was the Grinch was caked up like that 😭
I was a little sad that you removed the Muppets Christmas Carol early on, however How the Grinch Stole Christmas was a extremely solid choice for the number one spot👍also you made me want to watch Four Christmas, I actually just had a great conversation about it relating to my life today😂
So cool you really love the shows I grew up with: Santa Clause is Coming to Town and Rudolph the Rednosed Reindeer. Amazing how those shows cross generational lines despite the rudimentary stop motion filming. I love those Christmas specials! Waited every year for them to come on TV. ❤
Rudolph is a great movie but Santa was kinda of a-hole in it looking back
You CANNOT CHANGE MY MIND, the live action How The Grinch Stole Christmas, Home Alone, and Elf are the top 3 best Christmas movies.
Kris did an excellent job of parsing out her faves and ultimately came to a right decision and for top three for me, I agree with you, hands down!
16:37 did you not have a childhood? How are you going to put Polar Express BELOW klaus? The animation is not the same and the story is not either. Polar Express was ahead of its time and a staple in many people's childhood, it is a beautiful and magical movie.
It aged really badly, that movie is nightmare fuel now lol
One of my Favorites is Scrooged with Bill Murray! You didn't mention that one. It is a MUST see. I love Christmas Story as well. Can't believe you don't like that one. It's a Classic and I have to see it every year. Merry Christmas and Happy New year!
I just watched Rudolph with my family today!!!
Also, putting it’s a wonderful life and white Christmas up against each other?! MAN that’s hard!! (I choose it’s a wonderful life, personally; SO good.)
Merry Kris-mas!! ❤🎄
FIRST
AHHHH SO HAPPY TO SEE YOU TODAY!!! I LOVE YOU SO MUCH KRISSSS!
I was firstt
@@madselich9123no you weren’t 😂
@@Zzy-k2l XD THANK YOU ZZ
@ i was though, i did under 28 seconds and this person was under 38 secs soo
@astarin._xo oh kinda mean
Klaus is the best Christmas movie or even one of the best movies in general
it's heart warming and it's very cute but also sad and it's tints of paranormal makes it even better, the way it's just the origin story makes so much more interesting and it's just a amazing movie in general!
As someone who also watches White Christmas every year, I'm so happy to see it finally getting the attention it deserves! Bummed it didn't win but major respect to Jim Carrey. Fun list all around, Merry Christmas!
1. Muppets Christmas Carol
2. Klaus
3. While You Were Sleeping
4. Home Alone
5. White Christmas
Nightmare Before Christmas is my girls' favorite movie haha, so my son also loves it because his sisters do. He always points out Jack decorations around town lol. "It's Jack, the pumpkin king!" Haha.
The muppets Christmas Carol is my all time favorite, and I feel it sums up Scrooge better than all the others in one line in one song "Even the vegetables don't like him"
The runner up is my absolute favorite! I loved watching it with my mom growing up!
Yes! My favorite Christmas movie won! I love all the other movies, but for some reason, Jim just makes me life better in the Grinch. Love it. 🎉
“Love actually is all around”❤️❤️❤️ I love love actually
Merry Christmas to everyone!!
Sorry, but in 18:50 when you said that "Frosty the Snowmann" was up against "The Nightmare before Christmas", I was like: okay, frosty the snowmann had no chance 😂 the nighmare before Christmas, is one of my favorite movies of all time 😍 we actually had a vhs record taken of it back then😄
one of my favorite christmas tv shows is a german kids show called: "Weinachtsmann und Co.
