Fun fact that I didn't know for a long time. The Michael Myers mask is actually a plastic William Shatner (or Captain Kirk) mask that was painted white. Fun horror trivia :)
Omg yes!! Not to mention they had low budget for the film! If you go back and watch Lorrie walking home from school you also notice these tons of leaves on the ground….but all the trees are also full of leaves 😂
In Alien she went back for the cat. 10/10. Also what is up with aliens who have a weakness to water and decide to attack a planet mostly covered in it? "See that? That's a death planet. I'm gonna poke it and see what happens."
They weren’t aliens. It’s sort of the biggest M. Night twist that’s never been talked about. Think of it…what was the biggest twist in Signs? It isn’t the deciding to believe or not believe in god. That’s obvious from the get go. All of his movies have some major twist. The twist of Signs is that they’re not aliens…they’re demons. The little girl is special (knew the future in a way, leaving half drank waters everywhere that she was touching…and blessing via touch. It wasn’t regular water that burned them. It was holy water. Go back and re-watch with that mindset and the movie makes a lot more sense. M. Night never bothers to explain his movies which is why he didn’t come right out and say “this is about demons invading earth.”
I know humans would do the same thing tho which makes it so funny too me. If we had the ability to colonize other planets, I have no doubt some poor fools would absolutely attempt to colonize a planet that’s 75% deadly acid.
Love that the Moder got a shout out in this! I feel like The Ritual is criminally underrated. It's one of the few "creature hunting you in the dark" films where the ultimate reveal wasn't a let down.
Die hard Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein fan! I get why you’d do the classic film but it is nothing like the novel! Frankenstein’s creature is intelligent and self aware. He feels abandoned by his creator and stalks him across the earth. It’s amazing
Honestly in a sense people saying that Frankenstein is the monster are right. Dr Frankenstein abandons his own baby cause it didn't turn out right, and parents doing that are nothing less than monsters.
Have u seen Penny Dreadful? It sounds like they did a better job at portraying the whole Dr. Frankenstein and his Monster dynamic. Would like to know what u think about that. Unfortunately I think I've only read part of the book as a teenager, I think I got bored because nothing happened for a long time and stopped. But this was the time when I focused more on watching things as well, because could do multiple things. Can u perhaps recommend an audio version of the book?
In middle school my English teacher had us read the original Frankenstein. Me and my buddy made a theory and wrote a four page essay about how Frankenstein’s monster became Santa Clause. He showed that he cared about people through his spying on the family but he understood that people would never accept him due to their reaction to him. This is why we never see Santa clause but he is dedicated to helping people feel better. Edit: of course the monster also runs away to the North Pole and runs a dog sled so that is what started the theory.
Skarsgard was so good in IT, he partly got the part because he could actually make his mouth do that thing IT does with his bottom lip, I loved his version of IT 😁
Agreed! He based the lip thing on bears. I watched an interview with him where he shared that his family (all SUPER talented, btw!) often watch nature documentaries. Mine too, and nature docs are often still fallback when I can't decide what to watch. He NAILS that calculating, predatory stillness.
I haven't seen the movie(s), but I read somewhere that John K. made/"made" everyone learning sign lanagague so they could communicate with the deaf actress, plus it was good to actually know sign for the film - made it more realistic.
Stephen King started writing "It" in 1981, and it took him 4 years to write. It was published in 1986. Freddy's 1st movie was in 1984. Stephen King was already working on the book before Freddy was released.

It is one of the most haunting films I've watched, and I wanted to see if the Babadook would count as a "creature." I was also fascinated during the rewatch because throughout this video Kris considers which movies/books were the original adaptations of certain themes of horror films, making me realize where The Babadook pulls a lot of its chilling tools from. If you have not seen it, I highly recommend it. It's like Freddy Kruger meets The Poltergeist and had a baby that looks like The Thing. To be fair, I haven't seen The Thing, but after this video I really want to watch it. Happy Spooky season everyone 😊

41:20 my favorite horror movie & villain is "Nightmare On Elm Street" Freddy Krueger. I love when he jokes with the people ("Welcome to wonderland, Alice!"). I was just going to say that Wes Craven made up Freddy from 3 people: a school bully, a creepy guy he used to see out his window when he was younger, AND a story he heard about a kid who didn't sleep, finally fell asleep and died in his sleep. It was in a documentary about "Nightmare On Elm Street" here on UA-cam. "Nightmare On Elm Street" came out in 1984.
My favorite season too! My basement is horror themed year round! I also have 6 foot zombie animatronic in my living room that stays up year round named Norman. We dress him up with all the different holidays. Christmas he gets a Santa hat and beard and he holds hollies as Christmas guts ha ha. Next to him is a 6ft cardboard cutout of Freddy and Jason too, they gets Santa hats too lol I am weird lol
Jason is my favourite slasher, his backstory is really sad and theirs a scene in one of his movies where there is this little sleeping girl (she’s pretending to sleep) and Jason is standing beside her bed looking at her and he doesn’t kill her. He leaves her alone and leaves the room. Watching that touched my heart ❤️ 😢
Ok, Tolkien nerd moment. The Blob kinda reminds me of Ungoliant. It's got an insatiable hunger and consumes everything. The more it consumes, the more it grows. Ungoliant was also pretty much indestructible, and none were sure exactly what she was (other than her being described as an "unlight"). Ungoliant's story is actually kind of fitting for Halloween, though. Her hunger grew so strong that she eventually consumed herself.
OMG YOU DID TREMORS!!!! Sorry that makes me super happy. I was literally watching this last night with my flame point Siamese cat who is obsessed with Kevin Bacon

PLEASE do more of these, this was so much fun to watch!! Horror is my favorite genre so seeing all these movie monsters go up against each other and like thinking out logically who would win was so entertaining. Really scratched that itch in my brain😂 I loved it
I’m a huge fan of Frankenstein and his creations! The doctors names was Victor Frankenstein, however in the original writing he did have very close friend named Henry. Who ends up being killed by the doctor’s creation when the monster is in its mental fuckery era. Henry is a great friend though, genuinely written like lovers, it’s fantastic!
The Ailen or Predator should have one. Numbers of the species should have come into effect. You dont kill one Ailen or Predator because after you kill one, you could be swarmed! Just my opinion, cause honestly, i love Freedy and Jason a lot!
So we live off grid in the woods miles from resident neighbors. It's a gray day and my husband is working away on his computer upstairs and I'm a few minutes from the end of this video when he says "what's that?" I didn't hear anything or if i did, thought it was him. He insists he heard something outside. Like a rock hitting the house. So i go out to check and think about maybe a bird hit a window which makes me think this is like the beginning of Hitchcock's The Birds. So this was a very effective video. Well done Chris!!! I think it was just a pinecone falling from a tree.
OMG IM SO SO SO SO GLAD SOMEONE ELSE KNOWS ABOUT THE DESCENT I feel like people never know that movie when I tell them about it but it was so good I'm so glad Kris knows about it!
Loved this so much. ❤ Was fun watching!!! Haven't seen Alien and Predator for a long time!!! Both scared me as a kid!!! Freddy Krueger's got 2 weaknesses really as if you don't fear him then he doesn't get stronger as the more you fear him, the more dangerous he is. Like when he first appears in your nightmares, he can't kill you because you don't fear him enough. Which still is terrifying!!! The second being Fire. Which I think has to do with him being burned alive. Robert Englund is awesome with portraying him!!! 😈 Jason's also in a way got 2 weaknesses as he just haunts Camp Crystal Lake and the only reason he even left was because they made those (in my opinion) awful sequels except the 2010 (which shows him finding the hockey mask) and Freddy Vs Jason. His other weakness is water due to him supposedly dying by drowning as the counselors weren't watching the kids who were bullying Jason and pushed him into the lake. Which is kinda the back story on why his mom started killing off the camp counselors. I loved that movie Freddy Vs Jason though!!! I'd still say hands down that Jason beats Freddy no matter what. Michael is terrifying by just how you can shoot him, electrocute or stab and he just keeps coming back for more!!! These three are my favorite Slashers though my real favorite is Jason Voorhees!!! There's just something about him!!! 👻 Just wanted to write that Michael sorta has a family issue going on too as he goes after Laurie Strode as she's his younger sister. He kills his older sister Judith when he was 6 yrs old and Laurie I think was a baby that their parents put up for adoption which is why she doesn't know about Michael until later. Other than that yeah he just kills anyone who is in his way or survives his rampage. Can you please do another video except for I would say maybe either ghosts or I guess demonic possession/presence like The Ring!!! I loved The Ring and The Ring 2. I also watched the japanese one Ringu and their terrifying but good!!!

I’ve heard that’s why it was so hard for them to recreate the original.
I heard that it was an inside out turned version of an Captain Kirk mask so it was more uncanny looking

The signs movie makes me cry when they are all eating dinner for what they think the last time and the dad starts yelling and breaking down
0:19 ooo Halloween intro looks awesome!!!!
The joy in finding out that one of your favorite UA-camrs share a passion with you is the bestest🤪… LOVE HORROR!
Happy Halloween Kris!! I love your videos and they always make my day better!
I’m OBSESSED with Tremors. Reba as an Annie Oakley type character what’s not to love??? I might watch it after this video lol.
I love this video idea!
You always bring a smile to my face and I just hope you have the most happiest Halloween I can't wait to see your costume
The first time I saw the chess burster. I thought it was cute. 😂😂😂
Ps. Kris, I love your videos. They’re amazing.
KRIS IS SO AMAZINGGGGGGG❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
The Ailen or Predator should have one. Numbers of the species should have come into effect. You dont kill one Ailen or Predator because after you kill one, you could be swarmed! Just my opinion, cause honestly, i love Freedy and Jason a lot!
49:43 She saved the best for last. The Creeper! Correct me if I am wrong but the only monster to Win at the end of it's movie.
True, I don't hear that many people talk about this movie. It's was so good.
I feel like the glitching makes it even more spookier
You look amazing today Kris!!💗
23:38 I love the movie Signs so much, it’s such an amazing movie I love it. First time I watched it I was constantly on an emotional roller coaster
1:03 was it onlyme that screen glitched
Nope, you're not the only one
No
Nope
For ✨spookies✨
Hi I love your videos so much, you should do a creepypasta version of this! ❤
HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE ❤❤❤❤🔪🤍💀♥️🎃💅✨
So we live off grid in the woods miles from resident neighbors. It's a gray day and my husband is working away on his computer upstairs and I'm a few minutes from the end of this video when he says "what's that?" I didn't hear anything or if i did, thought it was him. He insists he heard something outside. Like a rock hitting the house. So i go out to check and think about maybe a bird hit a window which makes me think this is like the beginning of Hitchcock's The Birds. So this was a very effective video. Well done Chris!!!
I think it was just a pinecone falling from a tree.
HAPPY HALLOWEEN KMK
OMG IM SO SO SO SO GLAD SOMEONE ELSE KNOWS ABOUT THE DESCENT
I feel like people never know that movie when I tell them about it but it was so good
I'm so glad Kris knows about it!
Happy Halloween 🎃👻❤
Loved this so much. ❤ Was fun watching!!! Haven't seen Alien and Predator for a long time!!! Both scared me as a kid!!!
Freddy Krueger's got 2 weaknesses really as if you don't fear him then he doesn't get stronger as the more you fear him, the more dangerous he is. Like when he first appears in your nightmares, he can't kill you because you don't fear him enough. Which still is terrifying!!! The second being Fire. Which I think has to do with him being burned alive.
Robert Englund is awesome with portraying him!!! 😈
Jason's also in a way got 2 weaknesses as he just haunts Camp Crystal Lake and the only reason he even left was because they made those (in my opinion) awful sequels except the 2010 (which shows him finding the hockey mask) and Freddy Vs Jason.
Just wanted to write that Michael sorta has a family issue going on too as he goes after Laurie Strode as she's his younger sister.
SPOOKY SEASON! 🎉
Not me binge watching all of krisis vids and eating hi chew lol
Happy Halloween 🎃
