Their Latin, is perfect in the series - very difficult to learn (for me anyway). Wonderful series, never saw first time in 1978 - must have been on mother's Mary Whitehouse list . When i was doing my bible lessons, for confirmation- Father Walker asked "did i see Jesus of Nazareth staring Robert Powell on TV?" - I replied "No I wasn't allowed, mother said it was too violent" Father Walker smiled + nodded, lost for words lol. Mother's list uncooth, violent included Z Cars, Shoestring, The Professionals, The Sweeney, Father Ted, and more ! 58 yrs old on UA-cam with the kindness of strangers, sharing these wonderful gems, thank you. Writing this makes me imagine, Jesus as Shoestring driving an old Escort, pulling over using a phone box. I was allowed to watch Dixon of Doc Green - Good Night All !
This episode was just too...cute, but then, I am Catholic and often struggle with confession. BTW, as a small child we had a priest that was quite old and also hard of hearing. When friday rolled around and the schoolchildren went to confession, we always tried to arrange ourselves in line so as to not wind up all but shouting our sins if we were sent to this elderly priest.
Why didn't he just knock on the confessional door and take the mike off him and turn it off???😅 Loved thus show when it came out, and it's STILL HYSTERICAL. 😊😊

Elviskline99 you have done a wonderful thing sharing so many episodes of this cherished program with us. Love you for it. Subscribed💗
This is the best episode.
Daniel Abineri who played Father Boyd in this series was only 20 years old when he starred in this first series.
Fr D was in real life was a protestant,
Only a great actor could pull that roll off
And the curate Father Boyd in real life is an atheist.
Role
Love these episodes

Thanks I always loved this snow. Do you have the episode with the Christmas Special? It was the funniest by far.
Sadly not. But will keep an eye out for it
Well, while we hope for " snow " at Christmas time - would they be any in the special you refer to ?
Woman, if you was to milk a cow it'll come out curdle :-)
John King
I used to fancy him at the time
"Why" is a nasty little Protestant word.
amazing.......
The complaint Season 3 and 4 are not here?
That might be tricky, as only three seasons were made.
Very Irish. All the old jokes.
He is no irish man
Nice... But Father Ted is better!
