This beloved series worked on so many levels I was at a school fete 4months ago someone donated it I paid 15 notes for the complete series with every bit of it 👍🤣 cheers Stephen ✌️✌️🍀
They were in their early 50s, which seems ridiculous, especially as I'm now 55. I don't relate at all, apart from being grumpy, but I was always like that.
As above. Richard Wilson was only 53 when started to film this, playing a 60 year old. Think he originally turned the part down as he thought he was too young. I suppose being younger in real life gave the show longevity.
😂At least Victor Meldrew's early retirement wasn't as bad as Richard Bucket's!!(Another classic British comedy-Keeping up Appearances")Victor didn't have to put up with Hyacinth😮Thankyou❤😅
It's still amusing but this was much funnier when one didn't have one's own foot in the grave. Too close to the bone. Need to find a programme with a positive view on retirement.
Thanks for the heads up bc I’m struggling with turning 45 smh 🤦🏼♀️ I don’t understand how I got here. Meanwhile, my 74 year old mother is in better shape. She runs rings around everyone I know. My son and I have a running joke about her being immortal.
Super series, highly underestimated in my view, Annette Crosbie, also played Queen Victoria in Edward XII, in a 1975 drama series, which was very good too
The joke is as a much younger individual i used to laugh my ass off at this show but ironically this year & to the minute my 29yrs service with my now last ever employer ended in precisely this way... a case of goodbye, bugger off you are retirement age next month anyway....
One of my favourite series. I can watch time and time again.
I always skip the final episode tbh.
Thanks, great show.
I'm in my late 60's and am becoming more and more like Victor every day, and loving it.
I'm 45 and feel the same 😄
Why did you wait until your late 60s? I am early 50s and there already, haha
Me too, 72.
No comments in 8 years? Well, thanks for uploading this 👍

When I first saw this 30 years ago Richard Wilson & Annette Crosbie looked old. Today viewing it they look young. 😮
We age well, said the man in the mirror this morning

I dunno how Margaret put up with Victor. Perhaps she should’ve run off with Richard. 😅
@@ErnestPiffel Great idea! Both programms very cleverly written.. 😅
Yes but Richard is much quieter 😹
Would love him as a neighbour 😂

Thanks so much for sharing this with us! ❤️ from 🇺🇸 giving me something to watch and take my mind off the aftermath of the hurricane here in Florida

It tickles me.

British sardonic humour writing at it's finest apart from the python team.

I DON'T BELIEVE IT!
Memories, memories from Australia
A miracle youtube not removed this
Shshhh
Sadly not. For given that sexism and racism is (rightly) looked down on, why is it okay for the BBC to be ageist?
@@antispindr8613 Commenters dont have a sense of humour. Maybe we could have a comedy show about humourless commenters.>
I cant remember the last time i saw an elderly pedestrian sign,do they still exist ?
Victor meldrew andhis his wife and Mrs warboys are so funny 😅 ha ha ha ha
EVEN when I was young, Crosbie was a Hottie .
Hannah Gordon too!
I enjoy 40+ episodes of this gem program on Dailymotion. Hilarious!
Lol😂😂😂😂😂I watched this British comedy on PBS !😂😂😂😂😂😂
BBC: Is this show a gentle dig at getting old - or an over-the-top form of ageism?
A COMEDY
V funny.
Do you mean that the show is funny ha ha, or 'funny' as in odd and weird?
2024. It is The End Of The World.

I hate this unfunny show feckin hate it
My goodness, you are in a mood! Have you ever watched the film?
My dad never liked the show either. I always suspected it was like looking in a mirror for dad and he didn’t like what he saw.
@@ErnestPiffel Well, 😅 I am 84yrs, still laughing 😄☺️
You’re funny, Brendan
Then don’t watch it you miserable imbecile.
