In an age where people are looking for reasons to be angry about this world a channel like this that encourages people to become amazed by the world around them is a much welcome change i find even as an adult the way these videos are shot and explained makes it interesting for anyone rob and deane should be considered icons for this show.
Me, too. I love doing things like this with my grandson! He loves his grandma so much because we like doing some of the same stuff.. Math, tricks, putting things together...
That's pretty cool. I have a wooden catapult, about a foot tall, which I made in Scouts thirty-odd years ago-but I never thought to play a game like bowling with it. Next time I get it out, I will!
Amazing just how much trust we used to have in kids. We used to show them how to do things like this. Now I think you'd have a lot of trouble convincing people to let you air a segment in which you teach children to build a catapult.
Buttons! I forgot about those things. They and beads were fun to play with - all the different colours, designs & sizes. Like marbles, but you could do crafts with them
Wow, I actually watched this episode and made the catapult. I am guessing I would have been 7-9 I got in trouble for using marbles and aiming them at my sister. ... Good times.
I was playing about with a vacuum pump & chamber last night. That bought back memories of that scuba diver thing, and I had an urge to build one again. Of course Rob or Deane would have been the one to have taught me that. Great call.
Are there any shows like this still broadcast in Australia/ New Zealand? In America, PBS used to have a bunch of great science, children's, and diy shows. Reading rainbow was amazing! But also furniture guys!
I thought it was originally 9 pins or skittles then when people brought it from England to the new world the religious types tried to ban it believing it to be sinful so people changed it to 10 pins so to not be breaking the law?
I love this channel.
I adore this channel
