Nice work and edit! Relaxing to watch What stones are you using for your skiving knife sharpening? You don't use any heat to smooth the layers of edgepaint?
Thank you so much! I use a Naniwa stone with a 1000 and 3000 grit side and then a DMT diamond plate to flatten it. I’ve had mixed results with heat, usually because I’m too impatient to let the paint dry and it ends up bubbling. I’m yet to invest in a fileteuse so I think once I do I’ll experiment
Would you mind sharing what adhesive you are using on your pattern pieces while cutting your leather out. Every double sided tape I’ve tried lifts the finish off of smooth leathers
@@seattlefoodcritic Hey! I use a Repositionable spray adhesive from Hobbycraft in the Uk, hopefully you can find an alternative if you’re based elsewhere
Looks amazing. Nice job on the video, too! Have you had much experience editing? And do you mind if I ask you what you filmed the video with? I'm thinking about starting, too. Thanks!
@@themiddlepath1516 Thank you! I know the bare minimum, this was actually my first attempt at a long form video, I’ve mostly just made shorts and Instagram reels. I filmed this on a Canon 600D with a Rode Videomic GO and then edited it in Premiere Pro
So satisfying to watch, well done dear stranger!
Thank you kind stranger!
Beautiful piece of art! ❤
Thank you very much!
So much detail your videos remind me of Navico
Thank you, that’s high praise!
Very impressive 👌
Thank you Linda

Exquisite work! Thank you for sharing. If you could share, what is the clear edge finish you use before the edge paint?
Thank you! I use Uniters neutral filler to prep the edge, it makes a great base for edge painting

I love the colors here. Leathercraft needs more whimsy.
I wholeheartedly agree!
