Very real video! I have a 4ft 10 discuss tank I’ve tried Siamese algae eater and plecos both latched on to discus body! I have removed all anubius and ferns from the tank and they move around and hide away less; plant def looks more aesthetically pleasing but I was facing same issues with them. I’ve decided on bare bottom big rounded stones and a Center piece driftwood for the setup! Harh realities and even harder decisions just for healthy happy discus
I’ run my tank at 30degrees C and use Anubias and ferns and they are doing well. For aggression of breeding pairs you can try dropping 2-3 breeding cones in the tank
Yes, that is one of the reasons also. I am working on the update video on the tank & the change in fish behaviour since i made changes.. will be posting soon.
Also I’ve realized that if I feed my discus only frozen foods in the morning they will only want that for the rest of the day. I try to avoid feeding blood worms /beef heart through out the week, because if I attempt to feed them dry food mid day they will avoid it thinking Beef-heart is on the way.
Mine mostly take beef heart mix / other commercial mix for discus / frozen dried brine shrimps.. they dont take pellets! & i never give them blood worms.. they love black worms though…
I usually buy them big, but to grow them big it comes down to the followin - Fish genetics - how much u feed them & what u feed them - how much water changes u do
ThankU! Blue diamonds change their colors alot. When i bought the fish it looked soo washed out cz they were kept in a completely white tank. In my tank they change from very light blue to veryyy dark depending upon their mood, background, mating behaviour etc. the color variation are interesting to experience.
@@ahmedsaquarium8262Can you please explain how is it possible for a water change ONCE A WEEK. I am constantly hearing that discus tank needs water change every alternate day's or atleast 3 times a week..50%. Is it bcz of less bio load in your tank or less feedings? Also i have heard that if you feed Beef heart to your discus..you need to do a WC... instant otherwise the BH particles will mix in the water ( cloudy ) and elevate Ammonia level.
@@rajadey4919 its a Myth that you have to do this many water changes with adult discus... if you buy small discus and want to grow them to their full potential - in that case you need to feeed ALOOOTTTT and do daily or alternate day water changes... But if you are keeping adult discus you really dont need to. Even if you are feeding beefheart you dont have to do daily water changes... Just Make sure you have Good filtration system, a Big tank and you are feeding like Twice a day. Dont over stock and you will be good to go.

Hi Ahmed, have you considered that the Discus could be hiding due to the breeding pair dominating the tank.
Yes, that is one of the reasons also. I am working on the update video on the tank & the change in fish behaviour since i made changes.. will be posting soon.
Fish is cool
Thanks!
Your unknown discus looks like a Leopard turquoise red . ?
