ThankU! The albino turned out much more beautiful over time. You can see it in my “discus tank aquascape” video. It took me a long time to collect what i have now.. sometimes u just have to keep looking until u find something special.
@@ahmedsaquarium8262 Hey how often do you siphon the waste on the bottom of the sand? I wanted to put sand in my tank but afraid of hidden parasites if we dont clean it well...many keep discus in bare bottom with no issues but it doesnt look natural and fish dont feel home...how do you sort this issue?
@@JosephKarthic I siphon the substrate once a week with the water change. I personally feel sand in some ways act as a bare bottom tank because all the waste stays at the top and doesn't go under the sand itself unlike with other substrate where the waste gets trapped in the crevices. As long as you keep a thin layer of sand as substrate I don't think you should have any problems. Just pay attention to the spots where the waste gathers, so you can remove it properly.. and gently disturb the sand during maintenance to avoid any gas buildup. The only difficulty with sand is that while siphoning the waste, sometimes you end up sucking the sand as well. Other than that, I personally haven't face any issues with it. It looks beautiful & keeps the waste at the top. You can choose to have any substrate as long as you are cleaning it properly before harmful bacteria builds up.
Beautiful albino! I wish my local fish store had an assortment of specimen like yours.
