A few fun facts about Queen: * Guitarist Brian May has a Ph.D. in Astrophysics and built his electric guitar (Red Special) when he was 17 (with his dad). * Bassist John Deacon has a degree in electronics. He designed and built the amp that Brian sometimes uses to create unique sounds on Red Special. John was also involved in the band’s financial management. * Drummer Roger Taylor has a degree in biology (pre-med). His vocal range is better than most lead singers of other groups. * Lead singer Freddie Mercury has a degree in graphic design. It goes without saying that his vocal range was amazing and he was the best front man of any band. * All four have written #1 hits, and all are members of the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
Queen...an iconic band that was together for 20 years until Freddie passed away in 1991 from pneumonia resulting from his struggle with AIDS. There is so much talent in this band and the first time you listen to any Queen song, you never know what it will be, but you know it will be good, Queen doesn't make bad music. They never stuck to one style or genre, they played everything and played it all very well. Queen is a band that will worm its way into your soul and the more you listen, the more you hear in each of their songs. When people first start listening to Queen, they are fixated on Freddie because his voice is so amazing and powerful plus he is a great piano player and outstanding Frontman. Then people start hearing that amazing guitar of Brian May (by the way, he built that guitar with his dad when he was a teen from junk they had laying around the house. Named The Red Special, Brian has used her almost exclusively for over 50 years, with only minor repairs). Next you will be caught up in the fantastic drumming style and expertise of Roger Taylor who also is an excellent singer who you will see singing right along with Freddie while never missing a beat. Once you think you have caught all the talent within the band and can now settle in to just enjoying the music, you start hearing the incredible bass of John Deacon, one of the best rock bassists of all time. For most songs by Queen, I would say to do the live performances because even though the studio versions are outstanding the energy and musicianship of this band live, is something to behold. All the members of this band are college graduates with Brian May (guitar) even having earned a PhD in Astrophysics. Currently, when not touring or working with some of his other passions, Brian does some work for NASA. As suggested below, to get a taste of what Queen can do live, you should react to "Somebody To Love" live at Montreal 1981, it is a "blow your hair back" performance by every member of the band. Thank you for your reaction. Just a FYI, when you are reacting to rock bands, NEVER stop during a guitar solo, you won't hear the end of it from the fans. If you have to pause for some reason or to comment, take it back to the beginning of the solo after you are done with the pause.
Welcome to the world of Queen! Gotta say, right off, that you are a brave man to stop the music video in the middle of a Brian May guitar solos! Hopefully the Queen fans who react badly to that will be kind on you considering that you’re new to Queen music. Maybe cuz you aren’t using headphones, it’s harder to hear what’s going on? Anyway, great reaction and thanks for doing it! I hope you continue to do more Queen. As you listen to them, keep in mind that they made music before everything to do with recording music could be done electronically. They didn’t even have autotune. This is especially relevant when you watch videos of any of their live performances….which you definitely should do because as great as Queen’s in-studio performances were, their live performances were even better. I wish I had a nickel for every time I’ve heard someone say, “That’s how good they sound live? How can any band sound that good live???” Plus, when you have (or had 😢) Freddie Mercury as your lead singer, who was the best front man ever, you have to take advantage of that! So, it makes sense for you to do some live songs next but with Queen, you really can’t go wrong.
After Freddy sadly passed, Queen approached an aussie legend to be their new lead singer, he had to decline the honour, he couldn't be away from his family for long periods, check him out, he is John Farnham, try beatles "Help," John's rendition, live with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra.
@@JMBOYTV Good Reaction, My Friend. Please play this again to yourself with Headphones (which are also essential if you listen to a much-requested Album called " Dark Side Of The Moon" by PINK FLOYD IN 1973 WHICH STAYED IN THE USA charts for 738 successive weeks. ENJOY these 2 British Bands.. 😀
Queen is one of the greatest bands of all time and Freddie Mercury is a legend and has one of the greatest voices ever! Queen has many fantastic songs. You probably have heard a few and don’t even know it, like We Will Rock You and We Are The Champions. You should check out Somebody To Love live in Montreal from 1981. Then watch the video with the studio version. Very different from each other but both magnificent.
You should check out the crowd of 68,000 people singing this song at a Green Day concert from 2017 in Hyde Park. It's 43 years after this song came out and 28 years after Freddie passed. Completely different generations. A testament to Queen and Freddie. Rest in power Freddie 🙏
Freddie Mercury (lead singer) was writing three different songs when he had the genius inspiration to combine them into this epic masterpiece. The first section that shows just their heads is actually just Freddie singing, harmonizing with himself on multiple tracks. That's Brian May on lead guitar, playing an instrument that he and his father built.
Remember this was 1975 No computers or auto tune.....just 4 EXTREMELY TALENTED MEN...DOING THEIR THING DIG DEEPER..... QUEEN ROCKS AND FREDDIE Mercury's voice is EPIC!!!
If you look up the definition of "rhapsody" in relation to music, you'll understand the structure of the song. For 1974 and still to this day, groundbreaking and influential - both the video and the song. Queen defied labels...which defines then perfectly!
This is known as one of the most Brilliant compositions and won an award for outstanding Contributions to the history of British music. It is also known as Freddie’s coming out song , as the lyrics have been carefully studied . Nothing will ever compare to Queen . They are truly the greatest of all time.
Great reaction! You choose one of the best songs ever produced to start off with. You get many different types of rock. Bohemian Rhapsody is Progressive Rock, the most complex form of rock, which uses classical and jazz elements. Bohemian Rhapsody is a mini rock opera, it takes you on a journey and tells the whole story of a character. The musical instruments in rock is very important, they can also often tell a story of their own. Bohemian Rhapsody has 49 different chords while most songs today have between 1 - 4 different chords. The song goes through the 5 stages of grieve. It basically tells the story of a young man who killed someone, he confesses his crime to his mother. He then hands himself over to the authorities. In middle or opera section, there is a trial for his soul between heaven and hell. He then becomes angry at his situation, and finally in the end the song resolves and he accepts his fate. Many people do believe that the song has a deeper meaning as well, but the writer of the song, lead singer and pianist Freddie Mercury never told anyone the meaning of the song. His idea was that you could interpret song, in any way you like. Bohemian Rhapsody is one of the most complex popular songs you will ever hear, the song has often been voted as the best song of all time, the song has made it onto the charts in 3 different decades, in 1975, 1992 and 2018. Bohemain Rhapsody is one of the best selling singles of all time. Queen is a British rock band, created in 1970, they are the 4th best selling artists of all time. Lead singer Freddie Mercury is most often voted as the best vocalist and frontman of all time. Brian May is always voted as one of the best guitarist of all time, drummer Roger Taylor is known as one of the best singing drummers. John Deacon is usually chosen as one of the top 10 bass players of all time. Queen is the only band where each individual member has written a no.1 hit song. I suggest you check out Somebody To Love Queen live at Montreal 1981. Queen has also often been voted as the best live act of all time. They are known for their unique sound and versatility, they have managed to create songs in practically any genre of popular music.
I am going to say thank you for the reaction, everyone has told you all the many things Queen is about. The talent in that group is unmatched any where. Freddie Mercury is the number one frontman of all time. He voice is considered one of the greatest voices of Rock n Roll. Please take a look at some of their live performances, they are insane. Live Aid is a must, it is considered the best rock n roll concert ever. Enjoy learning about Queen and dive into all the music. They do all genres and handle them as good as it gets.
I give you credit for taking this on as one of your first reaction videos. There's so much going on in this song, as you say, there's no way you could know what you were getting into. Add to it the history of the song (the band had to fight with the record company to get it released, for example), and the history of the band - there's just so much to cover. I loved your honest reaction and your appreciation for something that is about as unique as it gets. Keep having fun with this, man!
Queen is a British rock band that was formed in 1970 and was comprised of: Freddie Mercury - Lead vocals and piano Roger Taylor - Drummer and vocals Brian May - Lead guitar and vocals John Deacon - Bass guitar Queen is an unusual rock band. All four members had amazing musical talent and each of the four members was a successful composer. Queen is the only group in which all members of the band have songs that they composed were inducted into the Music Hall of Fame. Each member of Queen was a strong and unique individual. They each had different musical tastes which is probably why Queen's catalog of music contains such a variety of genres. They wrote and recorded songs that are soft rock, hard rock, progressive rock, arena rock, thrash rock, glam rock, rockabilly, r&b, blues, pop, soul, funk, disco, dance music, jazz, gospel, folk, opera, show tunes, ragtime, etc. They would sometimes combine multiple genres in a single song. You have probably heard Queen songs without knowing they were composed and recorded by Queen (they produced 15 studio albums in their 20 years together until the passing of Freddie Mercury in 1991 from AIDS). I bet that you have heard at least one of these: 1. We Are The Champions - (Live performance from Montreal 1981 - no autotune) ua-cam.com/video/KXw8CRapg7k/v-deo.html 2. We Will Rock You - (Montreal live performance) ua-cam.com/video/cBKtwUAtnJ4/v-deo.html 3. Another One Bites The Dust - ua-cam.com/video/rY0WxgSXdEE/v-deo.html One of my favorite Queen songs is "Somebody To Love". Queen is unusual in that many of their songs performed live were a lot different that the studio version and often even better that the studio version. Here is the official studio version of "Somebody To Love" - ua-cam.com/video/kijpcUv-b8M/v-deo.html. You can understand why they had to change it to perform it live since it is impossible for Freddie to sing both lead and backup at the same time. Here is Queen performing "Somebody To Love" live (again in Montreal) - ua-cam.com/video/aA2IRoPFIn0/v-deo.html. (It is amazing!) "Bohemian Rhapsody" released originally in 1975 is the creation of Freddie Mercury but he never told anyone what he was thinking when he wrote the lyrics. Freddie often writes in metaphors so I would not suggest trying to take these lyrics literally. He wanted listeners to be able to apply to the song whatever meaning it had to them personally. Not what it meant to him. BTW - Freddie did admit that it was composed of three separate songs that he had been working on but could not seem to finish. So he decided to mash them together, adding some transitions and bridges, and created "Bohemian Rhapsody". "Bohemian Rhapsody" can be broken down into 6 parts: Part I is the "Into". The video image shows the four members of Queen singing and harmonizing the lyrics of the "Intro" in acapella. In reality, it is only Freddie's voice you hear on the recording. Freddie laid down 5 separate tracks of himself singing and harmonizing with himself. (FYI - multi-tracking and overdubbing runs rampant in Bohemian Rhapsody.) Next is the "Ballad" portion of the song ('Mama, just killed a man'). Freddie had worked on this song for years but it never had a name. The other members of Queen tentatively titled it "Freddie's Cowboy Song". The lyrist Tim Rice (he wrote the lyrics for "Jesus Christ, Superstar", "Evita", "Alladin", "The Lion King", ...) who was a close friend of Freddie's believes this portion of the song’s lyrics were about Freddie confessing to his fans that he was gay (a radical and scary thing to do in 1975). The third section is the guitar solo. This is the only part of Bohemian Rhapsody not written by Freddie. Freddie told Brian that he wanted a guitar solo in the song and where he wanted it to fit into the song but left it to Brian to create. Brian wanted to have his guitar effectively sing a verse that would inject a different melody. He heard something in his head. He said that he could hear this melody and had no idea where it came from. That melody isn’t anywhere else in the song, but it’s on a familiar chord sequence, so it dovetails in quite nicely. The guitar solo leads to the fourth section the "Operatic" section. Freddie not only loved Rock but he loved Opera. He was always fascinated with the idea of combining rock and opera. It took 3 weeks to record "Bohemian Rhapsody" and the "Operatic" section was much smaller when they began recording but Freddie kept adding to it. There are various lyrics in the "Operatic" section that seems to refer to the band. Freddie appears to cast himself as the character, Scaramouche, a stock clown of 16th-century Italian literature who dances around making a fool of himself but speaks the truth. Galileo who was an Italian astrometer, physicist, and engineer definitely refers to Brian (Queen's lead guitarist) who in real life is Dr. Brian May, a scholar with a Ph.D. in Astrophysics. Figaro refers to the Mozart opera, "The Marriage of Figaro" and it is a subtle way to reference Roger Taylor (Queen's drummer) who has a four-octave range vocal span (E2-E6) and was even frequently cited as hitting E5 in live performances while playing the drums. Freddie compared Roger's voice to a dog whistle. The final reference of Magnifico is Queen's bass guitarist, John Deacon, who has a degree in Electrical Engineering. John is the creator of the "Deacy Amp" which when connected to Brian May's homemade guitar (the Red Special) through a treble-booster could produce sounds reminiscent of various orchestral instruments, such as violin, cello, trombone, clarinet, or even vocals. Plus he used his knowledge to keep all of Queen's electronics working. It is hard to realize that it is only Freddie, Brian, and Roger singing in the "Operatic" section (John never sang on the records). This was 1975, well before digital recordings and autotune. Recordings were made using 24-track analog tape. The limits of tape made it necessary for the three vocalists to overdub themselves many times and "bounce" these down to successive sub-mixes. Some sections of Bohemian Rhapsody feature 180 separate overdubs! The fifth section is the "Hard Rock" portion. In this section, Freddie sings angry lyrics addressed to an unspecified "you", accusing them of betrayal and abuse and insisting "can't do this to me, baby", before the final lines conclude with him singing, "just gotta get right outta here". FYI - the "Operatic" and the "Hard Rock" sections of BoRap were featured in a scene in the 1992 film Wayne's World, in which the main character and his friends headbang in a car to the rock part. Because of the success of Wayne's World, Bohemian Rhapsody was re-released in the U.S. in 1992 and rose to Number 2 on the Billboard chart. In the sixth and final section, the "Outro" returns back to the "Ballad" to close the circle of the song and ends with the sound of a Chinese gong. Welcome to the world of Queen.
You have probably heard quite a few Queen songs without even realizing it. Try reacting to Another One Bites the Dust, We Will Rock You, and We are the Champions. You'll be surprised at how many Queen songs have been a part of modern culture for decades.
I was 10 years old when I first heard this song and I had to have the album and I've been a queen fan ever since definitely try Somebody to Love live in Montreal it's one of the best love vocal performances ever love your reaction once you start Queen you can't stop it's like heroin LOL keep reacting to them
If you just started a rock and roll journey, my dear, you chose a legendary group and the hardest song to grasp.😅😆😅😆😅 Welcome to Queen..May I suggest Somebody to Love live in Montreal? It's phenomenal 😍
Since you are new to the Queen stratosphere we'll let the pause at Brian's solo slide. Brian and Roger Taylor on drums are still going strong well into their seventies touring as Queen and amazing solo work. In over fifty years Queen has never split up. Rest In Paradise beautiful Freddie 🎤🎹🥁🎸♥️👑
So glad to see a new Queen fan! (Let's be honest - how can you not be a fan now?) I predict much more Queen in your future. Have a seat and buckle up, hands and feet inside the ride at all times!
Great reaction. Imagine an innocent! young man listening and watching this for the first time just before Christmas 1975. I was totally gobsmacked, as were many more like me. It was a complete game changer, no one had seen or heard anything like it and music was never the same again. Freddie Mercury is, for me, the best frontman of any band ever and you have a great journey if you are just discovering Queen for the first time, enjoy.
It's easy to miss the main theme reacting to this sing when there's so much to react to. This song is a roller coaster and that's what makes it great. He kills a man, tells his mama to carry on and that he sometimes wish he never was born at all, regretting the whole thing and throwing his life away. They come to get him, his time has come. Court don't wanna let him go while his defense say his a poor boy from a poor family and that they should release him... he needs to get it off there.. feels trapped... omg.. so many feelings... great song! Master piece!
From the internet: A rhapsody is a piece of music of indeterminate length and with no formal structure, comprised of a number of different musical ideas. A Rhapsody is all about dynamics: light and shade, high and low, loud and soft, happy and sad… It’s a story, a journey and usually quite the musical ride. 🤘🏼🤘🏼
Go down the Queen rabbit hole. Watch the live videos. They were all professional musicians -4 geniuses who found each other and created the most eclectic music ever made!
Watch the movie Bohemian Rhapsody. It’s not a documentary about the band but a fun loosely based story about them. This song was part of an album that was created as a modern day rock opera. Sort of. Can’t really describe it. You have to learn about them and listen to the album.
Excellent!! Be proud of how far you've come in just a year. Your lyric reaction was non existent and now it's one of the most insightful on the 'tube. Thanks for your efforts.
Wellcome to Queen! Good reaction. Do listen to the words they tell a story. Try any other Queen song you will not be disappointed. Another song to try is Grand Funk, Inside looking out. Their lead guitar player and singer Mark Farner has been one of my neighbors for years and is one of the sweetest down to earth man you could meet. Rock on sir!! 😊👍✌
One day you're hearing Bohemian Rhapsody for the first time and the next day you're singing the entire song, in the car, by yourself, not caring if the other drivers see you.
You should listen to this with headphones. As you noticed they were unique for the time doing the right and left. If you're serious about learning about all kinds of music.. I've always wanted to recommend to a new music reviewer to try to really explore. A way to do it might be to set a day for country, a day for crooners, a day for rock, a day for women, ect.. just ask for folks to recommend. Here's some of mine.. Ritchous brothers (blue eyed soul) with any of their songs. Women with perfection are Yebba with "my mind", or Janis Joplin with all her songs. Groups Bee Gees with "Saturday night Fever" or " You should be dancing"or all of their songs. Country with Garth Brooks (only live) any of his live songs. Or Brooks and Dun with "I believe".. I hope you get the point that there are tons of great music out there.
Guitar World (magazine), declared in July of 2020, that Brian May was the greatest rock guitarist in the world. He's also an astrophysicist, and has assisted NASA with the flight to Mars. Aaaand, I think that guitar he's playing here, may be the one he built with his dad, when he was a teenager.
I’ve been binge watching your Queen reactions and it is a pleasure to see young people being in awe of Queen no other band can get you hooked hopefully you will do more take care x x
Please listen to Pentatonix they're an acapella group they also sing this Bohemian Rhapsody but they do a lot of different genres. They're amazing. They've covered Beyoncé, Rihanna, Ariana Grande they've done a little bit of rapping. They have 3 Grammy and is nominated this year for a fourth one.
Love your reaction!!! If this is the first Queen song you hear, you'll be confused somewhat. Probably need to hear like Somebody to Love, Killer Queen, Another One Bites the Dust, We Will Rock You, to first appreciate them, get to know them. There were several changing pace type songs back then, Stairway to Heaven, Come Sail Away, Lady (by Styx also), off the top of my head. But this song is amazing, mixing theatrics with rock. Awesome!
If this is your first journey into the rock world, you couldn't have picked a better band. Bohemian Rhapsody is one of the greatest songs you will ever hear. Freddie Mercury has been voted countless times as the greatest singer in history. Brian May is one of the greatest guitarists ever, and the Deacon-Taylor rhythm duo is one of the bests of all time. Queen is also no doubt the greatest live band ever, check out Live Aid, and Somebody to Love at Montreal, those are must sees. Queen never missed a beat live, true professionals. They have done ten times what any artist then could dream of doing, even without all the equipment we have now. Each member of Queen wrote No 1 hits and have been the only band to do so. If you want to react to further studio songs, try Don't Stop Me Now, or We Are The Champions. (We Will Rock You is also a good one) Again, so glad you chose Queen.
Bean dean is right. There is a rule when it comes to Queen and Sir Doctor Brian May. You never ever interrupt a Brian May solo! Love your reaction. Keep it going with Queen!
Freddie Mercury rated by "Rolling Stone Magazine" as the greatest male pop vocalist. As of 2022 that hasn’t changed. Brian May is one of the greatest guitarists of all time. This if from the 1970's which was perhaps the greatest era of rock music and Queen was on top at the time.
All those voices in the song are Freddy Mercury. Even though they show the faces of the other band members singing, all the voices are Freddy Mercury. He had such fantastic range.
If you want more Queen which I am always good with, try Queens Rock in Rio concert song 'Love of my Life' and watch a quarter of a million people sing to Freddie. With a wave of his hand he controls all of them.
I actually just recent reacted to that one, check it out! Love Of My Life Rock In Rio 85' - Queen (Reaction) | CROWD PERFORMED FOR QUEEN!! ua-cam.com/video/ir_95KFH8Ns/v-deo.html
what you should react to is what you want to react to. We can make suggestions but my tastes and yours maybe very different. Only advice for music is to keep an open mind. You never know what you will find. I found Mean Mary (artist) song Iron Horse just by going "I'll give that a try". Her music may not be my preferred genera but DAMN she's good at what she does. From classical to rap there is good music all round.
Is this the real life? Is this just fantasy? Caught in a landside, No escape from reality Open your eyes, Look up to the skies and see, I'm just a poor boy, I need no sympathy, Because I'm easy come, easy go, Little high, little low, Any way the wind blows doesn't really matter to Me, to me Mamaaa, Just killed a man, Put a gun against his head, pulled my trigger, Now he's dead Mamaaa, life had just begun, But now I've gone and thrown it all away Mama, oooh, Didn't mean to make you cry, If I'm not back again this time tomorrow, Carry on, carry on as if nothing really matters Too late, my time has come, Sends shivers down my spine, body's aching all The time Goodbye, everybody, I've got to go, Gotta leave you all behind and face the truth Mama, oooh I don't want to die, I sometimes wish I'd never been born at all. I see a little silhouetto of a man, Scaramouch, Scaramouch, will you do the Fandango! Thunderbolts and lightning, very, very frightening me Galileo, Galileo Galileo, Galileo Galileo, Figaro - magnificoo I'm just a poor boy nobody loves me He's just a poor boy from a poor family, Spare him his life from this monstrosity Easy come, easy go, will you let me go Bismillah! No, we will not let you go (Let him go!) Bismillah! We will not let you go (Let him go!) Bismillah! We will not let you go (Let me go) Will not let you go (Let me go)(Never) Never let you go (Let me go) (Never) let you go (Let me go) Ah No, no, no, no, no, no, no Oh mama mia, mama mia, mama mia, let me go Beelzebub has a devil put aside for me, for me, For meee So you think you can stop me and spit in my eye So you think you can love me and leave me to die Oh, baby, can't do this to me, baby, Just gotta get out, just gotta get right outta here Nothing really matters, Anyone can see, Nothing really matters, Nothing really matters to me Any way the wind blows...
OK, I let the first one go but after the 2nd time I had to make sure that you know that one does not pause a video during an instrumental solo. Probably doesn't come up in rap.😉
Good Reaction, My Friend. Please play this again to yourself with Headphones (which are also essential if you listen to a much-requested Album called " Dark Side Of The Moon" by PINK FLOYD IN 1973 which stayed in The USA charts for 738 successive weeks. ENJOY these 2 British Bands..
You can build your subbase by going down Angelina Jordan rabbit hole. Also, Queen has a very loyal and immense fan base. I watch lots of young people respond to music from the 60s though 80s. Most are blown away by actual voices and instruments. Rap is not singing. Rap is not instrumental. It is electronically produced dance routines. Real music began to die in the 90s. Listen to Righteous Brothers You've Lost That Loving Feeling. Do a little research on the group/song. It will enhance your appreciation and give you more to talk about. If I were doing this, I'd have a standard set of questions to ask myself about the music, for example, how was the voice quality? Music? Instrumentation? etc. If you stick with this, you're going to go places you never imagined musically. Carry on, Young Skywalker.
Noone can compare to this song, far from classic rock way above. This is an operetta. I thought of it as a trilogy, just enjoyed the talent and talent is flowing wild.
I was 13 when I first enjoyed BR..Be sure to watch Queen's performance at Live Aid as well as the movie Bohemian Rhapsody.. My number 1 in 2022 is Dimash who is operatic like Freddie, with performance respect like Micheal Jackson. Both of his parents are vocal professionals. Dimash knew he wanted his own career and started vocal training at 5... He was invited onto a Chinese talent show, The Singer in China 2017, as a wildcard.. He opened the show with a French song, SOS.. He performed in multiple languages on the show.. His DEARS are worldwide... We enjoy seeing reactors become speechless... I think you will enjoy Stranger ua-cam.com/video/thbgh0qIscI/v-deo.html
Yes. It is MUCH more. Glad you came out of the rap bubble and are exploring the different gems music has to offer. You have just listened to one of the greatest songs ever and seem appreciative, but a tiny bit puzzled. Do continue on your non-rap path, discover the mind-boggling wealth different genres of music have in store for you. Keep an open mind and enjoy the journey. PS And yes, as has been said before, stopping in the middle of Brian May's solo is a cardinal sin. Repent!
Just some reaction requests. Dragon attack. Save me Liar. Stone cold crazy. White Queen. One vision. The one vision documentary (prefer the one that is not extended, before the other). Love of my life fat bottomed girls, original And. Fat bottomed girls live at the bowl. Princes of the universe which was by queen for their tracts for the movie Highlander. Freddie Mercury, singer. Brian May, lead guitarist, Roger Taylor, drummer. John Deacon, bass guitarist. John is a fabulous bass player who sometimes gets overlooked , like some bassist, but so overlooked. All queen members are educated with degrees. Freddie has a degree in graphic design, and was an amazing artist. Brian May, actually Dr Brian May has a degree in astrophysics. Roger Taylor studied dental, then switch and has a degree in Biology. John Deacon has a high degree in electronic engineering. Just a little info. Also Brian played the guitar he and his father built together in his teens. They made it from a mantle piece, an old table top, a bar from an old backpack. They used bits and pieces from his mother’s sewing box. This guitar has its special sound It’s worth watching the video on the making of the red special. There are videos on each of the members , which really lets you get to appreciate each one
Loved you reaction to Queen and looking forward to your next Queen reaction - if you fancy something funny and you mentioned you liked rap and possibly hip hop - try out some British Chap Hop with Professor Elemental - ua-cam.com/video/0iRTB-FTMdk/v-deo.html
If your going to do reaction videos(even just listening) get a pair of GOOD headphones. I bought a pair of $350 Sony headphones for $75 used on eBay and replaced the ear cushions for $20. It makes a world of difference.
You got a wide wide world different music to listen to probably want to start with people actually playing instruments. No disrespect to anyone no Auto-Tune no sampling
great reaction - but don't ever interrupt Brian's guitarsolos - please. You are right about the headphones- - but what is wrong with your gear - the interruptions - and it is not in sync-- . In Live Aid you lost a lot - not only 30 seconds. But I lie your reactions - so I subscribe.
Classic rock DEMANDS headphones, especially 70s music

Definitely have a lot to learn! I will definitely be reacting to more Queen!
After Freddy sadly passed, Queen approached an aussie legend to be their new lead singer, he had to decline the honour, he couldn't be away from his family for long periods, check him out, he is John Farnham, try beatles "Help," John's rendition, live with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra.
Yeah.... don't do that. 😏
@@JMBOYTV Good Reaction, My Friend.

Yes, you will learn that pausing during a guitar solo is an unpardonable sin. We'll let it go this time.. I'm watching you though... lol
Freddie passed in 1991! Unless my maths is wrong, shouldn’t it be 31 years?
@@wendyryder2708 The concert in Hyde Park was in 2017, so it is actually 26 years after Freddie passed.
It's a must see, I agree. The song was just playing while the crowd was waiting for the band to come out.😁
@@maryelizabeth7941 when I saw that concert with GreenDay I cried. I was so touched that the world still loves Freddie and will never forget.
Live Aid is mandatory. Ranked as the greatest live performance...you may hear songs you didn't know were Queen! 👍♥️👑🔥
Remember this was 1975
No computers or auto tune.....just 4 EXTREMELY TALENTED MEN...DOING THEIR THING
DIG DEEPER..... QUEEN ROCKS
AND FREDDIE Mercury's voice is EPIC!!!
Oh my beautiful Freddie 😢❤
Thanks for that breakdown! I could tell something complex was going on, just hard to process in real time. Very insightful!
Freddie did say he had three different, unfinished songs in mind, that eventually got into "Bohemian Rhapsody".

There has not been since, and will never be another band like Queen! They earned every Damn letter in the word GENIUS !
Queen is a British rock band that was formed in 1970 and was comprised of:
Freddie Mercury - Lead vocals and piano
Roger Taylor - Drummer and vocals
Brian May - Lead guitar and vocals
John Deacon - Bass guitar
Queen is an unusual rock band.
I bet that you have heard at least one of these:
1. We Are The Champions - (Live performance from Montreal 1981 - no autotune) ua-cam.com/video/KXw8CRapg7k/v-deo.html
2. We Will Rock You - (Montreal live performance) ua-cam.com/video/cBKtwUAtnJ4/v-deo.html
3. Another One Bites The Dust - ua-cam.com/video/rY0WxgSXdEE/v-deo.html
One of my favorite Queen songs is "Somebody To Love".
(It is amazing!)
"Bohemian Rhapsody" released originally in 1975 is the creation of Freddie Mercury but he never told anyone what he was thinking when he wrote the lyrics.
"Bohemian Rhapsody" can be broken down into 6 parts:
Part I is the "Into". The video image shows the four members of Queen singing and harmonizing the lyrics of the "Intro" in acapella. In reality, it is only Freddie's voice you hear on the recording. Freddie laid down 5 separate tracks of himself singing and harmonizing with himself. (FYI - multi-tracking and overdubbing runs rampant in Bohemian Rhapsody.)
Next is the "Ballad" portion of the song ('Mama, just killed a man').
Wow thanks for taking the time to share this! I always love learning new things! This is a beautifully complex song!

To this day, I remember the first time I heard this song back in 1976. Needless to say I was pretty impressed.

Wow 🥰 beautiful sweet Freddie ❤️ wonderful reaction 😍 thanks liked subscribed 😁 please react to white queen live performance Odeon Hammersmith ❤️ Freddie Mercury ❤️
I think Brian May is maybe THE most underrated guitar player in rock. His tone is unmatched.

To listen to this properly, you need headphones or speakers. Yes the sound travels.
Catching up with your older posts, as their first Mini-Rock opera try listening to The March Of The Black Queen - it's awesome too.
Excellent!! Be proud of how far you've come in just a year. Your lyric reaction was non existent and now it's one of the most insightful on the 'tube. Thanks for your efforts.

@@JMBOYTV haha since realised you do... Silly me. Glad ur doing this though it's great to see young new music experiences.
This song is rock opera from their 1975 album A Night at the Opera. Other good songs from this album: Love of my Life and You're My Best Friend.
One day you're hearing Bohemian Rhapsody for the first time and the next day you're singing the entire song, in the car, by yourself, not caring if the other drivers see you.
It's a whole different experience with headphones as it flips from one side to the other !
Definitely, thanks!

Deep Purple "Child in Time" will also blow you away. & Black Sabbath "War Pigs"
Awesome!
Freddie's version of an "opera". BRILLIANT...
IT'S JUST QUEEN 🎉
Freddie Mercury rated by "Rolling Stone Magazine" as the greatest male pop vocalist. As of 2022 that hasn’t changed. Brian May is one of the greatest guitarists of all time. This if from the 1970's which was perhaps the greatest era of rock music and Queen was on top at the time.
Real music!
Mind blown
All those voices in the song are Freddy Mercury. Even though they show the faces of the other band members singing, all the voices are Freddy Mercury. He had such fantastic range.
If you want more Queen which I am always good with, try Queens Rock in Rio concert song 'Love of my Life' and watch a quarter of a million people sing to Freddie. With a wave of his hand he controls all of them.

From classical to rap there is good music all round.
Brian May is a freakin genius.
Is this the real life?
Is this just fantasy?
Caught in a landside,
No escape from reality
Open your eyes,
Look up to the skies and see,
I'm just a poor boy, I need no sympathy,
Because I'm easy come, easy go,
Little high, little low,
Any way the wind blows doesn't really matter to
Me, to me
Mamaaa,
Just killed a man,
Put a gun against his head, pulled my trigger,
Now he's dead
Mamaaa, life had just begun,
But now I've gone and thrown it all away
Mama, oooh,
Didn't mean to make you cry,
If I'm not back again this time tomorrow,
Carry on, carry on as if nothing really matters
Too late, my time has come,
Sends shivers down my spine, body's aching all
The time
Goodbye, everybody, I've got to go,
Gotta leave you all behind and face the truth
Mama, oooh
I don't want to die,
I sometimes wish I'd never been born at all.
I see a little silhouetto of a man,
Scaramouch, Scaramouch, will you do the Fandango!
Thunderbolts and lightning, very, very frightening me
Galileo, Galileo
Galileo, Galileo
Galileo, Figaro - magnificoo
I'm just a poor boy nobody loves me
He's just a poor boy from a poor family,
Spare him his life from this monstrosity
Easy come, easy go, will you let me go
Bismillah! No, we will not let you go
(Let him go!) Bismillah! We will not let you go
(Let him go!) Bismillah! We will not let you go
(Let me go) Will not let you go
(Let me go)(Never) Never let you go
(Let me go) (Never) let you go (Let me go) Ah
No, no, no, no, no, no, no
Oh mama mia, mama mia, mama mia, let me go
Beelzebub has a devil put aside for me, for me,
For meee
So you think you can stop me and spit in my eye
So you think you can love me and leave me to die
Oh, baby, can't do this to me, baby,
Just gotta get out, just gotta get right outta here
Nothing really matters, Anyone can see,
Nothing really matters,
Nothing really matters to me
Any way the wind blows...

If you love this check out "Live Aid". Best live performance in history.

U like brain may guitar u should listen to him play god safe the queen on top of Buckingham Palace
Let there be rock by AC/DC
I hope you'll react to Dimash! S.O.S. ua-cam.com/video/JEz1qGS0T1Q/v-deo.html
Great reaction here! Looking forward to more!!!
Musicianship
great reaction - but don't ever interrupt Brian's guitarsolos - please. You are right about the headphones- - but what is wrong with your gear - the interruptions - and it is not in sync-- . In Live Aid you lost a lot - not only 30 seconds. But I lie your reactions - so I subscribe.
Mate, do yourself a favour and get yourself a decent set of 'on ear' headphones. this sounds like a 1970s telephone answering machine.
Will do
