Just got this car a few weeks ago. Haven't seen a single other one on the road! Traded in my 2016 Mazda 6 for it so it's a huge leap in tech but I do miss the tight steering and flat handling a bit! However the car is pretty damn great so far. Only thing is I do wish the gauge cluster was a bit nicer to look at but it's fine lol
You mention that silver finishes would make it better but I always look for vehicles that don't do this. With glare issues having silver trim on everything provides all the opportunity for the sun to bounce off and sunblind a driver.
@@joeymatusik7599just got mine. Wolf grey red interior which surprised me how nice it was. Interior is awesome looking for a 32k car. So far drives smooth and quiet. More bang for your buck when you compare it to the accord. Im was a Honda guy
I just traded in my 21 Accord Sport 2.0T for a 25 k5 Gt with Gt1 pkg. Was gonna get a white k5 gt line awd gt pkg and red leather. But I spent the extra bucks lol. No regrets.
I own a 2014 SX Optima with a 2.4 putting out 192 HP & 181 torque, but mine is 6 gears, but pretty peppy too! I would get the GT Turbo....Have you seen the K9? Beautiful!!
Goldpony I believe you owed the 1.6t Sonata? There are reports claiming the current 2.5 non turbo is quicker 0-60. But your review the performance was adequate. I can not understand why Kia developed the torque rating to only 180 as opposed to 195. To make matters odd the new K4 GT line will have a 190hp turbo which will be quicker than the the standard K5??
I have heard you cant change it, but on my 2025 kia you CAN change the gauge style to a classic look in settings. I find it hard to believe that the option isnt available on all current versions. K5 owners need to investigate. Settings>cluster
@@jimjohnson530this is possible to change but it has to be the GT or EX with a true dual 12” screen. I have played and read through my manual every which way and it doesn’t work on the fully optioned GT-line. Really wish that was an option given on the GT-line. I researched and asked my sales person before I chose my car. Next jump up to get the screen was $35k and gave you memory seat, power passenger, ventilated seats, power folding mirrors, the 12” gauges and turbo. I really only wanted gauges and ventilated seats and didn’t see the value to make that decision.

@@zaynightwing It just doesn’t have a lot of power really especially bass response. If I really crank it up I get some rattles in the subwoofer. The car itself is pretty good quality and has a lot of leg room for my 6 foot 4 inch frame.
Gosh, it's hard to ignore this sedan and its price. Very nice review thank you and I have to say, this car is impressive.

You can change the digital gauges right?
@@kris.notchris Only in the EX. For some reason the premium package doesn't come with the upgraded digital clusters.

Great review!!! I think Kia would sell tons more of these when they make a hybrid or a mild version.
In kia home country of Korea, there is a naturally aspirated 2.0 K5 hybrid version 👍
I always a fan of sedans & I will buy this car.
Love my 2025 Kia K5 Ghost Gray!! Loaded with red interior
Got mine with matte gray and red interior it drives great!

Good Stuff! Watching for 10 years now.
Kia gives you more car for your money and looks great too.
I actually just went to Fred Bean today and purchased this EXACT car that was used for the review, but didn't find out till after the purchase xD
Haha your car is famous! 😁 An awesome car though! Congrats!

Amazing review bro.
Love my gt line. Absolutely love it.

A strange thing about my 2024 K5 it doesn’t have an EX emblem on the rear.
I will have to saya very honest review.... 👍🏻

I have a 2024 EX which is pretty nice. I would have purchased the GT if it had 4 wheel drive. Too much power going to just the front wheels.
As an FYI wireless Apple CarPlay does not work if you have an iPhone 14 or lower for the 2025 models.
I have a 13 and it works fine for me

Love the car if it only had actual leather seats any limited slip differential it would be perfect
Do they have a suv version of this 😊
Wonder if it would be the Kia Sportage 🤔 anyways get a CR-V 😅

Looks like they fixed the wheel spin by a lot
The non Turbo engine has less torque....so no wheel spin....
Are analog gauges available? That digital cluster is hideous.
All K5 models will be digital regardless of trim
I didn't hear anything about the car's handling. You should have taken it on the twisties for a while to give us a good overview.

Yeah they look nice and all but I got one word they still gotta prove before I buy another Kia or hyundai….”RELIABILITY”
J.D. Power rates its predicted reliability as "Great". Also, 10-year powertrain warranty, and 5-year bumper to bumper.
