Support them and maybe you hear that they were never your friend. Much applause for Jeanette, showing the pain and anger of X leaving. This is the disturbing beauty of the World of Darkness. How would you survive with Therese "the beast" whispering her disappointment at every failed hunger roll?
The best title of episode so far!!! I love the references!!! 🎵🎵🎵 "Isolated Alone and apart Isolated Isolated I'll never crawl again I'll never fall again until I'm free"
This has been my favourite episode by far! Wonderful acting all around, and it's always a treat to see the 'newer' players such as Maya and Mica at the table. Such breaths of fresh air for sure! Their conversations made me smile and seeing how far Delilah has come, as well as Kyoko coming into her own as well. Also the callback to the Grove encounter was such nostalgia! Whitney nailed the impulsive, outlandish Jeanette to a T, and her actions at the end of the episode prove she is not one to be trifled with So, so many feelings for X's desire to want Therese, the voice of his Beast, out of his head forever. I've been so worried about him since the S4 epilogue, so much that I imagined one of his other mortal/ghoul friends being heartbroken seeing how broken he was. I just want him to be okay, somehow. It's such a dangerous thing to consider taking this Elijah up on his offer, knowing how these devoted faithful are practically zealots and seeing what has been happening with the Second Inquisition attacks since the start of the season, I am just petrified for X and Annabelle being in their clutches. Honestly cannot wait for the next episode! My poor heart cant take it!
This episode is a nod to the Bloodlines game in it's title which was a great song in the game and in X's garb which was an outfit of the male Malkavian
Man, I have no idea what is happening. But am loving what the Inquisition and their organisations are doing. And very interesting Deliah became a true vampire, now I am understanding what the Thin Bloods are doing.
Wow, I found this series only a couple weeks ago and been binge watching to catch up, amazing cast, sets and even better story and it's all turned to he'll in a big way. Was not expecting the inquisition to be recruiting vamps tho, what a twist absolutely loving it
Absolutely loved this episode. I love all four characters, but what I really liked is how Delilah actually did what nobody did, especially not in Annebelle group, raise so many objections and really interrogate Elijah, as well as trying to convince X against it even though they don't even know each other. She was basically the voice of reason that nobody else seems to have been capable of being. I truly loved it. Also, Jeanette absolutely rocks.
This is the second instance of the SoL throwing Golconda around as a lure (not that they are using the word), I'm VERY interested to see if this is something that gets represented in the Second Inquisition book. Did they get their hands on the Temptations of Caine fragment of the Book of Nod? Maybe a Salubri is helping them? Or this might be just a Jason Carl special. Very intriguing.
@@JWPanimation Actually, I'd kinda like the idea if they were being honest about it. Not merely using it as a honey trap, but actually seeking to "help" those vampires who have not yet descended so far into murder and bestiality that they are beyond redemption. It would give the Second Inquisition a more grey vibe if at least some of them were genuinely good people who are convinced that they do the right thing, instead of just either merciless murderous fanatics who maybe think they are doing the right thing or just machiavellist hypocrits.I mean, if we take into account how the "beast" works and how most vampires behave, the believe that they are a threat to humanity that needs to be either cured or exterminated is not that far off to begin with. Where if not in a game setting like vampire can we create really convincing villains who could very well be the heroes if the story was told from another perspective.
@@chrisrudolf9839 yeah, that would be a unique twist. It's what I would hope for as a kindred, living in a society of monsters. I don't think it will play out like this with the SI, but I hope that Golconda is a real option for our heroes.
@@JWPanimationIf they are, they miiiiiiight wanna stop. Golconda is a pretty serious matter and unless the SI wants the likes of the Inconnu or Angiwar knocking at their door, they better keep that shit down.
Jeanette suddenly killing one of them was brutal and awesome. And now, finally someone playing Aurora! That is great, her character has needed a player for a while now.
That ending is why I dig VtM, and why I especially dig stories involving the Second Inquisition. We can equivocate as much as we like, about how the Society of Leopold are a bunch of crazed fanatics (totally true), little better than the monsters that they hunt (possibly true). But the characters we play when we play Vampire _are_ monsters, and the World of Darkness _would_ be less dark without us. If Delilah, Jeanette, X, and Kyoko met their end right there in the nightclub, LA would instantly become a safer and brighter place. I love this game 😁
In fairness, (though I don't necessarily think that it was intended. But it's also the kind of thing that players are definitely capable of picking up on in game, so it's possible.) Jeanette did make several mentions about how she was controlling the "vibes". And Jeanette (and Therese, obviously) is a 6th generation Kindred. In this world that's a step down from a Methuselah. That means that Jeanette is (easily) one of the most powerful Kindred on the planet, and by a very very wide margin. (The ones that are more powerful than her are either dead, dormant, or are old enough to have no involvement with the Camarilla or Anarchs whatsoever, subtly controlling and influencing Kindred and mortals around the planet with their thoughts alone (even while dormant or in torpor.) and needing to feed on other vampires. There aren't a lot of them left though, and their existence is highly mysterious at best.) There's also the fact that Delilah just Diablorized someone, which forces you to battle their soul to keep control of your own mind. Even though it's satisfying, it's incredibly dangerous, and is traumatic for the mind itself, usually meaning that you temporarily/permanently take on some of their personality. (Or if you lose, they can take control of your mind entirely.) Kyoko is just Kyoko. She's not so much crazy, as she is impressionable.
From a gameplay perspective, Jeanette doesn’t really ever even have to roll for anything, and if she does, she has “rather a lot of dice” as Jason Carl puts it. (An understatement.)
@@rakkasaniron1696 She isn't very old. It's difficult to know exactly how old they are, but Jeanette says their last sunrise was over two lifetimes ago. She also says that Therese killed their father with a gun "blowing his mind all over the silly clown wallpaper". The painting of them young holding hand with their father shows them with somewhat modern clothes. That indicates the Voerman sisters are about 150 years old at most. So she's not a Methuselah. Technically, she's not even an elder, only an ancillae. However, she's extremely low generation for being so young a kindred, so she'd be far more powerful than her age indicates. Likely comparable to an elder, but not a Methuselah.
@@Djorgal That's assuming that she's even remembering the truth of the matter correctly, which there are many indications that she's not. For one thing, they're never aware that they're the same person, so their conception of time is split roughly in half. There are also several admissions that the way each one experiences the world is with two separate dreamlike overlays over their consciousness. That's why they can live two separate lives simultaneously and separately.

It seems unlikely. Jeanette seems to have little connection with the broader Kindred politics, history, and lore; if she has any interest in it at all, it's confined to Los Angeles.

I am obsessed with the modern vampire Alice in Wonderland tea party vibe. I feel like they were about to break out in "A very merry unbirthday" at any moment.
Whitney and Xander really show the true essence of the Malkavians. First class acting from both.
The only thing crazier than one Malkavian? Two Malkavians. And we have the craziest of crazies together, running a dance club. LOL.
Three Malkavians, actually.
The lunatics are running the asylum
I love that X is wearing some of the best armor in VtM:Bloodlines for Malkavians.
X: Are you Camarilla?
Cross dude: No, I'm Kamtokillya
Lmao 🤣
Tonight's characters: Vampire Tinder!
The Masquerade: *silently screaming
Yeah I love how the SI is attacking Kindred everywhere, but everyone seems to be blissfully unaware of anything.
@@safaashkan8369 I'll try to help: it's all happening on the same night, at roughly the same time. By the time each group of Kindred realizes what it happening, the hits are all under way.
@@vampiresnvino Oh I didn't realize that I thought that some of them were, but the rest were just to show how most kindred don't really get the imminent danger of the SI. Thanks for clearing that up and thanks for being one of the best storytellers out there. I try to learn from your style as well as I can.
I love the fact that they set up our anarch friends in season one as being anarchs mainly so they could use the comforts of modern life and not rely on pigeons and stuff - and now we finally get the pay off of them finding out why that is a very stupid idea in V5. Everytime Victor temple did a Instagram live I was waiting for something like this season to go down on their heads.
Jasper: *Actually keeps the Masquerade
Rest of coterie: Social media!
Jasper: *Smashes face into table
Edit: All love to the whole cast. Love the set up and pay off to flippancy with the Masquerade. I think we all sympathise with our Nos bro though.
"Guys, Gals, and Non-Binary Pals" I am using that forever now! Love X and Jeanette so much!
I love in the first episode Annabelle asked Baron Abrams about Golconda, and now at the crescendo of the story you have SoL offering Christian Golconda to members of the Vamily. Seemed like a important point when I first watched Ep1S1!
WOAH, okay, this episode was sooo chaotic! I really love the v i b e s
Also Jeannete and X as a duet are so AWESOME, really missed both of the characters. And Delilah's idea about Tinder by Night? Priceless
Thank you all for the amazing episode!
Sometimes you forget that behind the crazy, Jeanette is still a 6th Gen Vampire.
Whitney captures Jeanette perfectly
Love how the Malks are portrayed. The insane are the meatiest roles to play. That being said, X is the worst sort of friend. Give them their space, and "you weren't there for me!". Support them and maybe you hear that they were never your friend. Much applause for Jeanette, showing the pain and anger of X leaving. This is the disturbing beauty of the World of Darkness. How would you survive with Therese "the beast" whispering her disappointment at every failed hunger roll?
As long as you don't play them like Fish Malks. That shit is annoying.
@@geek4u869 Fish Malks?
@Logamer-tn6db old comments I know but Fishmalks are basically just "zany" comedy characters that don't really fit the WOD tone.
Kyoko, a powerful Tremere Vampire awkward flirting is pricelessly adorable
The best title of episode so far!!! I love the references!!!
🎵🎵🎵
"Isolated
Alone and apart
Isolated
Isolated

I'll never fall again until I'm free"
*AS I STARE AT LIGHT THAT MAKES ME BLIND*
loving the SI guys each episode, such a variety to them. Poor Stan can't handle the flirting
All that potential OnlyFans star potential is too much for one man.
Whitney nailed the impulsive, outlandish Jeanette to a T, and her actions at the end of the episode prove she is not one to be trifled with
So, so many feelings for X's desire to want Therese, the voice of his Beast, out of his head forever.
I'm sorry, I can't even with 'Ass Barons'. Tears in eyes
I hope they introduced themselves like that to Nelly and Victor at a baron meeting.
This may require a rebrand to ASSylum! 😂
This episode was so fun, great to see X and Jeanette again.
Wow, I found this series only a couple weeks ago and been binge watching to catch up, amazing cast, sets and even better story and it's all turned to he'll in a big way. Was not expecting the inquisition to be recruiting vamps tho, what a twist absolutely loving it
This is tooooooo good. Thank you to all the actors, Jason Carl and everybody else who is involved in this masterpiece. I cant wait for next saturday.
Yes, it seems like a honey trap for kindred growing weary of the unlife, who fear their humanity slipping. Not to dis-similar from some religions.
Golconda is a pretty serious matter and unless the SI wants the likes of the Inconnu or Angiwar knocking at their door, they better keep that shit down.
obsessed w the chaos of x and jeanette in this episode
also obsessed with x having a very serious conversation in That outfit
I started this show for the first time a few weeks ago. This is the first episode I'm catching same-day now that I'm caught up!
X: Nothing could go Wrong :)
Jason: [Manacing Grim]
Electric cast, electric Storyteller, and this season has been a nail-biting wait between episodes!
Janette is literally Gaslight, Gatekeep, Girlboss.
Finally caught up. So happy I found this. You all rock super hard! Can't wait for next episode!
Jeanette suddenly killing one of them was brutal and awesome. And now, finally someone playing Aurora! That is great, her character has needed a player for a while now.
Whitney is REALLY killing it as Jeannette, X is always my favourite, and I ship Delilah and Kyoko SO HARD.
Spoilers below:
Jeannette tearing that dudes throat out was the Chekhov's gun I needed fired.
Blood In Blood Out, Miho
That ending is why I dig VtM, and why I especially dig stories involving the Second Inquisition. We can equivocate as much as we like, about how the Society of Leopold are a bunch of crazed fanatics (totally true), little better than the monsters that they hunt (possibly true). But the characters we play when we play Vampire _are_ monsters, and the World of Darkness _would_ be less dark without us. If Delilah, Jeanette, X, and Kyoko met their end right there in the nightclub, LA would instantly become a safer and brighter place. I love this game 😁
I don't know if the Tremiers were trying to out crazy the Malkavians, but they certainly gave it a valiant attempt.
There aren't a lot of them left though, and their existence is highly mysterious at best.)
There's also the fact that Delilah just Diablorized someone, which forces you to battle their soul to keep control of your own mind. Even though it's satisfying, it's incredibly dangerous, and is traumatic for the mind itself, usually meaning that you temporarily/permanently take on some of their personality. (Or if you lose, they can take control of your mind entirely.)
Kyoko is just Kyoko.
Not even ten minutes in, and X just HAS to say 'Nothing could go wrong.' BAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Don't tempt Fate, my dude. It's already tempted enough.
Isolated, would that title be refence to the chiasm song Isolated? As it was the song they played in the club in VTM bloodlines
I think that X's outfit is also a reference to the game. It's one of the outfit worn by the male Malkavian PC.
Yes, it is. If you look at my Twitter account (@ vampiresnvino) you'll see that I post the episodes' lyrics sources one hour before the stream on Friday nights. ;)
@@vampiresnvino MASTERCLASS IN FISHMALKING, I LOVE IT
@@vampiresnvino because of you evil man I might have the worst case of earworm since 10 years or more. I basically have the beginning of the song, up untill the first hook playing on repeat in my head ever since your tweet.
@@ithemba It's because of the way she says "alone" throughout the song. I have no idea why, but it makes the entire song stick in my head.
I love how much X's madness resembles the madness Vannevar suffered.
I absolutely adore Delilah and Kyoko and their amazing conversation on their way to the club.
Interesting episode. X goes from one manipulative person to the next, only to end up with a manipulative group that claims to offer salvation but despises him.
Perfect name for the episode. I have the Chiasm song playing in my head.
Xander rocking the iconic malkavian outfit from Bloodlines.
I give Jason Carl.props for the scenes with X touching stuff. Loved the way he describes things.
YAY! MORE LA by Night!
I've been waiting for this episode so much :D
Most light hearted response to diablerie ever
I'm not at all surprised. Disappointed. But what can you expect from someone who drives that kind of car?
Yes, indeed. I don’t remember when and why she committed the diablerie, but it’s surely downplayed here. The mental strain on the diablerist herself seems to be totally ignored. As well as the social reaction.
@@MingDK To be fair re; the social reaction she revealed it to a vampire fledgling and two lunatics, so it's not a typical reaction.
@@jamesgrieves2669 Seconded
@@jamesgrieves2669 fledgling - maybe, I don’t remember how old K is. And she’s a Tremere - the clan may have specific view on it. But lunatics isn’t a good argument. First of all, deranged doesn’t mean lunatic. And they do know what diablerie is unlike a fledgling.
So we finally get to see Aurora in the flesh. I believe she might appear in the next episode, leaving the bigger confrontation (inquisition) and the coterie coming together again for the end of the season.
Another wonderfully amazing episode! I couldn't stop watching this one as I had to see it's story unfold. Great storytelling and fantastic characters :)
YAY Janet and X is wearing the pimp Malc armor from Bloodlines 1 amazing job :D I adore the costumes and props in this show
i think its just bloodlines again.
Whitney looks amazing and is amazing in general. That is all.
Love that this episode is named after Chiasm's song, which was used in the Asylum in the game.
And so glad Jeanette ripped one of the SI.
I'm disappointed the episodes are so much shorter for this the final season
Not me, totally fine with it. Quick hits are better for me. I have a lot of other stuff to track.
I agree. We are losing about an hour and fifteen minutes per. Still love what I'm getting, but I miss the long episodes.
Maybe the epilogues will be longer. 🤞🏻
By fare the best and funniest episode in season 5! LOVE IT!
Every episode, i need to give carl a big thanks for the show.
Loved this episode, it's like my last four remaining brain cells going out for drinks
Awesome cast. Thank you Vamily.
Thanks to all the players in all the games this season, SI is incredible, Whitney Moore You give Jeannette so much life/unlife, just what i have always pictured since bloodlines, Xander Jeanneret all the love man X is so deep and flawed as i feel he should be, Also loved the Social media pitch completely, Mica Burton Great Portrayal, didn't realize what had happened with Delilah, and Faye Mata love your almost innocence in the portrayal then the destructive force that is Kyoko, also Kyoko is always precious, sorry if i offended anyone I don't mean to but just how I feel about these characters. Thanks again Jason Carl For allowing your players to have a lot of lee way for character interaction even if a story must be told, always enjoyable must be like herding cats sometimes lol.
Huh... cool Easter egg. Isolated, the name of the episode, was also the song playing in VTM:B when you first meet Jeanette in the Asylum.
Wow, that Outro was *excellent*!!! 🙂
Thank you! It was a lot of fun to shoot it. :)
I need a tic-tok with Jannete and X dacnin', its amazing
I don't know much about it but if at least Janette heard the term Society of Leopold, wouldn't it ring the bell?
certainly if Therese did; but Jeanette isn't exactly the history type.
It seems unlikely. Jeanette seems to have little connection with the broader Kindred politics, history, and lore; if she has any interest in it at all, it's confined to Los Angeles.
They glazed over diablerie like some Sabbat frat party.
"I use my eldritch vampire powers inherited from my vitae and ancestry and experience to command thee to... VIBE"
So many Bloodlines references, I love it!
1:17 Mica Burton's facial transformation is awesome.
Kept waiting for them to say "OnlyFangs"
Ok I'm a little late to the episode but oh my god x and Jeanette I love them so much , well done to the actors and actress ❤
Oh my goodness. That lil clip at the end. We finally have a player for Aurora??
I can neither confirm nor deny....
One wonders, which of the few awakened willing to live in LA is straining at the bit to tell X who the hell the Society of Leopold really are. Apparently Carna's get are left sadly and dangerously ignorant. It's something Kyoko should have been taught.
Good point. Also, I get the feeling that Voerman Twins should know.
@@joshuastrickland5264 when someone murders their brother out of jealousy in a world thick with magic, they should pray for a warm fuzzy Disney God, that has their desires as their primary focus, and that causality and their own actions aren't issues.
I like how X is always in some crazy clothes, it adds so much to a character.
This session was so silly! I love seeing players having fun cracking jokes in character.
It's only 5 seasons later, watching this episode and staring at the Malkavian symbol that I'm now thinking "Wait, it's not a broken tennis racket! It's a broken mirror! " 😂

Delilah to Stan - "You trying to kill us."
She's the best and so hilarious. Her chemistry with Kyoko, Jeannette and X is awesome.
Until now I wasn't really worried anout Gehenna, but what Delilah did is so wild... It's going to end badly for her and other thin-bloods!
Ah yes, the mortal awe: flash 100 bucks
1:37:07 if only Jeanette would show this protective vindictive side in the VTM game too :D wow I love it :D best Jeanette scene ever :D
