  • Our Virtual Foraging Series is back!
With thanks to the National Lottery, we're once again taking to the hedgerow to show you how to identify, collect, and cook delicious wild ingredients. This month, Vix Hill-Ryder takes to Maker Heights on the Rame Peninsula in Cornwall to show you fantastic, autumnal wild foods that can make for excellent additions to your kitchen and diet.
While it may appear that our British landscapes retreat and hibernate during the colder months, there are in fact an abundance of amazing wild foods, full of nutrition, that can still be harvested during autumn and winter. So, whether you're looking to create a winter salad or decorate sweet festive treats, this video will give you an insight into what's available right under your feet!
This video has been created to complement our Wild Food Box initiative, whereby each month we forage and deliver twenty free boxes of wild food ingredients, offering them to low and no-income homes within our area. It is our hope that, with this project, we can help challenges of food poverty by sharing a passion and knowledge for foraged foods.
If you'd like more information on our educational projects or would like to see our foraging walk course shedule, then visit www.familyforagingkitchen.co.uk!
