    of all the bands from the 90's Mike still has the best voice, their songs are timeless and I listen to them almost everyday, f###ing great they are back with a new album their last European tour simply great....

    I like that it's never too early to start shitting on a band you like. People did this 'that new song sucks' about at least one song from both of their last 2 albums. It's the Faith No More fan version of hipsters.

    • @tomcaliforniasf
      @tomcaliforniasf 9 років тому +5

      It's a shitty cell phone recording of a concert clip. (I made this comment above) Go ahead and judge, when you haven't heard the track in the context of a studio album none of us has heard. Are these dumb motherfuckers that arrogant that they're going to pass judgement on a band with this track record? Do they really think that Mike Patton is going to half ass a FNM record? Not FNM version of hipsters, just straight up hipsters

    • @captmidnight582
      @captmidnight582 9 років тому +1

      tomcaliforniasf I'm too old to be a hipster. This song is not good in my opinion, and many others opinions.
      That doesn't make me a hipster. Dummy.

    • @Genious.
      @Genious. 9 років тому +5

      CaptMidnight58 What you seem to miss in your lack of reading comprehension is that I'm not saying the song is great, or the song sucks. It's that people are already writing off an entire album, and, to an extent, the band, based on a song performed live which is rarely performed... a song that hasn't been fully recorded and mastered yet... played by a band that hasn't performed live a whole lot together in the past decade and a half+ and not least of all, was recorded from a fucking phone camera. So while the comment wasn't directed at you specifically, but more to the people that can't wait to shit on the band, you kind of helped yourself into sounding like the Dummy you tried to accuse me of. As for your claim of being too old to be a hipster... 1: You're never too old to be a hipster. I've seen it. And 2: You're too fucking old to call yourself something idiotic like 'CaptMidnight58' as well... but that didn't fucking stop you, did it? Your opinion is that the song sucks (again based on a shitty recording of it live)... but the band thinks it's good enough to record and put on an album. They have a pretty good track record of knowing what's good so you'll excuse me if I take their opinion over the opinion of some fucking random guy on youtube who has never actually produced or created himself. Good day Sir.

    FNM is one of my favorite bands. The music still stands strong today as it did years ago and still kicks ass. If I hear any of the songs on the radio it gets cranked. They stayed true to who they are and true to FNM as a band. Granted, Mike Patton is unique with his style but that's who he is and that's probably why he is my favorite vocalist.

    How are people in these comments so quick to dismiss this song?
    Pretty much almost every Faith No More and Mr. Bungle song I've ever listened to has required multiple repeated listenings over a period of time before I could truly appreciate them. I used to never listen to Disco Volante, yet after hearing 'Violenza Domestica' play while my phone was on shuffle, I've been hooked on the album for weeks.
    This shit isn't pop, designed to be as instantly catchy as possible. You have to let it sink in.

    I see no need for names or trolling. You either like it or not. I've always liked most of what Faith No More has put out, all the way back to the 85 Mordam Records cassette tape "We Care A Lot" that I owned but I'm not a fan of this single. It seems lazily thrown together, almost forced. I loved Angel Dust the most, so complex and yet still different. KFAD was great too, but less fluid from song to song...simpler elements. I think they lost a lot of complexity/dynamics when they moved on from Jim and Trey. That's just my opinion and who gives a shit. I'm still gonna buy the CD and/or vinyl just like you. I'll probably love almost all of it and I'll anxiously await to see what they do after it too. So, they win again. Kings for another day.

    • @CoveMusic
      @CoveMusic 9 років тому

      It's subjective. I say that MF sounds thrown together but it really isn't. I should say pieced (mostly through files). Even on Jim's (Or Trey Or Dean's) worst days, they smoke Jon Hudson. The process in which all of their albums were created are vastly different. It's ironic, as complex and layered that I find AD to be, it probably was "rushed" as Jim suggested but I think Jim was bitter at that point. He and Mike did not get along, he still hates him and is bitter towards Bill and Roddy. Regardless, there is an argument between the band the recording of AD is half of it. The band saying they wanted more of him and Jim saying he didn't like how they were rushing the recording is probably the nucleus. I just listen to the album. I'd agree with you if you said the guitar wasn't as complex, but Wallace mixed a great final product and I still think it's their magnum opus.

  • @io5644

    fucking hell with the stupid negative comments. it sounds like fucking FNM alright? not better or worst than anything they've ever released. this track could easily fit in with the last 2 albums they released, as a matter of fact - apart from King for a Day, maybe Angel Dust, it sounds very much like anything they've ever released even before Patton got onboard, and by that mean that they are 'keeping it real' and not just trying to imitate their own brand of sound. and as much as I love bands such as AiC and Soundgarden, the same is not true in their cases.
    so enuff bollocks talk.
