Hey MC I believe the 61-62 RC on the Tactile Chupacabra was just the AEB-L lock bar Rockwell hardness for the super lock. The blade is Magnacut and that should be 62-64 RC. DLT Trading really made that kind of confusing to read for sure.

I Had a one off damasteel bowie wayfarer 247 built for me from Olamic back in march. When I received the knife, there were scratches all over the hardware, glue was poking out from underneath the Timascus inlays, and the action was so horrible that even skiffs bearings couldn’t save it. Was very disappointed considering the amount of money spent.
i find that hard to believe it was a major issue, did they fix it?
i’m not doubting if happened as every brand has flukes but what matters is if they fixed it
@@acid6urns yes they fixed everything but the action. You’re probably right about it just being a fluke, but I guess it just left a bad taste in my mouth. I shouldn’t have to send back a brand new $900+ knife.

Someone prob already mentioned this but NC Bkade dropped the T1000 V2 today. Only one that is sold out is the crystal DLC of course lol I didn’t realize that was crystal till I watched this, very cool! I may grab the straight DLC while it’s in stock. I catch flak but I love stupid chunky overbuilt big knives! They just bring a satisfying smile to my face and heart 😂
Got one of those new Exo variants, same config you were interested in, and it is fully reversible. Lock and clip can be swapped for lefty, so now I have a nicer off-hand knife that I use as my beater. Super good.

I always enjoy the evolution of designs. Usually in the form of better materials. Hopefully Reate will continue that trend and make better and better versions.
Your comment on the XM24 price is spot on. A bargain.
In Australia in 2011 the import of folding knives that could be opened with one hand was criminalised. It became a weapons importation offence, meaning jail time, so folding knife prices skyrocketed here.
I purchased a plain XM24 locally back then for $1,500. This was when the Oz$ was US$ parity. No regrets. That knife is still going strong, used for everything from a chisel to a slicer.
The law has eased a bit here on imports so I've just imported a slicer XM24. If the quality is the same, I'll buy a spanto and retire the original. I do not want to go through life without a knife like that.

Benchmade is out of their minds and has been for years now. I’d take a ZT over a Benchmade ever. single. day. of the week. They’re built better, they use superior materials, and the fit and finish is way more consistent.

At this point, it's become clear to me that Benchmade is either totally and completely oblivious the laughingstock they have become due to their pricing, or they're betting on the hardcore fanboys who will buy whatever they cobble together at whatever ridiculous price they slap on it.

I ended up purchasing that bronze mordax during its 1st run on American edge, but I'm not sure I could afford it. I'm considering selling it. Let me know if anyone might be interested

All for the low low price of $590 😂. This knife scene is worse than the pistol scene. I’ll stick to my budget blades, they work just fine. Maybe one day I’ll get a spyderco, but that’s about as far as I’m willing to go

That Wayfarer is not worth $845. You will get burned for over $400 in depreciation when you go to resell. So wait and be the smart person to be the burner and not the burnee.

Right. The price is for the knife itself. Secondary market value is separate and irrelevant.
@@metal_complex Fair enough. I'm saying that the secondary represents actual value of that knife much more than the $845 does. I've bought a Wayfarer new before and I'll only buy that knife on the secondary going forward. Just trying to share my experience with that knife. Not slamming it.
The secondary value of tons of stuff is substantially less. If the buyer doesn't plan to sell it and wants to own the knife specifically to keep forever, then the price is justified to them. Secondary market value is an entirely separate factor and is only circumstantially relevant. Could say the same of so many others. Countless brands
@@metal_complex Small changes in price are irrelevant. YUGE moves are worth checking out on any brand. It's part of your knife knowledge/buying handbook in ur head. Some knives you only buy on the secondary - regardless of whether you're going to keep them forever or not.
