I really liked this video because you started saying you may not know the specifics but still did show them all very well and didnt take a full hour to display everything.
I've been a knife nerd for almost 20 years, let me take you down a rabbit hole of makers who are either friends or acquaintances who make the best Knives I've ever laid my hands on. Ernie Emerson, Bastien Coves, Serge Panchenko, John Gonzalez, Michael Burch, Sean Kendrick, Gustavo T. Cecchini, Sal Manaro, Tom Mayo. As you've experienced Gavin Hawk does exceptional work (RIP Grant Hawk), Mick Strider does excellent work, and Tony Marfione's work speaks for itself. In terms of "fancy" Gus Cecchini, John Gonzalez, Michael Burch, and Sal Manaro would be my go to. Fora combo of fancy and outright bad ass, Ernie Emerson, Sean Kendrick, Tom Mayo, Bastien Coves, and Serge Panchenko. Fun fact, Gavin Hawk and Serge Panchenko have worked on several amazing collabs.
You will hopefully meander into the world of Chris Reeve knives. They’re not fun to fidget with but they are exquisitely and precisely made, elegant, utilitarian and functional tools that will last a lifetime. Chris Reeve has worked with the Hawk brothers on many designs and incorporated their ideas into a couple models. All CRK’s come a little stiff when new, especially the Sebenza, but once they’ve broken in they are an absolute joy to use and carry.
I sensed more of a combat knife genre, whereas CRK is more utilitarian and no where near the level of “tactical” knives he has! Just MHO, I do love my umnumzaan drop point in MagnaCut though :,)
@@armenarakelian9876 he has William Henrey’s which are far from utilitarian and look at his gun collection. It’s not like he sticks to one theme. He’s just getting started and CRK is a common right of passage for anyone who gets into knives. I find that people who don’t appreciate them tend to have lower IQ’s but that’s just my experience.
John Wick guns and knives, wow! Since Keanu is the nicest person in Hollywood whom I like so much. Wouldn't it be nice to see him shooting inside your indoor range or in the ranch. That would be awesome.
Microtech's owner has a nice gun collection also! The older Microtechs are refer to as Vero Beach where they first started! That Socom probably came in a white sleeve in a clam shell case. They also used gold jewelry boxes with the real earlier ones! I have a pair of Mini Socoms with Anthony Marfione signature on the blade numbered to 476. Nice collection that you have so far! Have a good one!
I believe the one that you couldn't remember what the inlay was a Mick Strider Custom with abalone inlay and polished blade. Also 2000 for that knife is a very reasonable price.
I'd imagine its difficult trying to develop a vlog personality when it feels like work lol I don't know how Cleetus and mike from field craft survival keep up the commentary and energy so consistently. they've gotter dialed. Been watching since day one and I got to say don't change a thing man, you couldn't get the full character of someone thru video no matter how hard ya try lol just look at Matt Caraker... speaking of which, he's looking for advice from viewers on his desperado ranch. When channels do collaborations they really blow up the sub counts... watching all your channels grow is epic and literally the only reason I started filming my shenanigans'. Wasn't even into guns til 2020 came around, seeing his first video was literally just him shooting a TV I figured why not. AMAZING COLLECTION AND THANKS FOR SHARING SO MUCH!! god bless
FYI: Your Shivworks Clinch pick is designed with the sharp side that way for self defense. When you stab it into your enemy it is easier to rip up with force, than down like most knives. You can really get behind it when you pull upwards. It is a learning curve but very effective. Nice pieces you have
Nice collection! I like the brevity of your explanations. Some knife guys just ramble. You have a great attitude towards what you love. Thanks for showing us. I collect Boguszewski, Shirogorovs, Hermans, Chris Reeve and John W Smith. My collection is different than yours but that's the point, to always collect what you love.
2:44 Are a set of Warhound (warncliff) and HellHound. The "very rare" microtech is mislabeled in the video. it's D/A for double action but you have it captioned as M-Socom which would be manual No biggie . 97 is an early model, but you can find some HALO and UDT versions in the 1995 range. The ones you cant remember are William Henry (WH is etched on blade) full dress Beautiful gentlemans folder and like one I carry often. You seem to like Microtech, so I would recommend some of Marifone custom HALO models. Get some of the older legacy knives, maybe some Walter Brend polished versions. Maybe a Kestral, KillerWhale, UDT, etc. For some diversity maybe Michael Walker, Allen Elishwitz, Chris Reeves, Ernie Emerson, and you have a Mick Strider/Marifone collab, so maybe a full custom Strider. Anywho.....good start. Enjoy the sickness. :)
I'd like to see some olamic cutlery, Cris reeves, and some Moku-Ti Morfione custom, and higher end protec added to your collection. You NEED to check out the marfione custom stuff.
You should get a Sharp By Design if you like snappy actions. Also Machinewise Sonora for a really good button lock. Squid Industries makes good balisongs. Herman, Shirogorov, Holt, Koenig, Brown Knives, CKF, Hinderer, Chriss Reeve, and Strider are some other good folding ones.
Your tube style dagger looks like a "vampire straw" I think you would enjoy having a few Robert Parish knives and possibly some Vallotton custom autos to add to your awesome collection
Glad to see you are into knives to I have always wanted a hawk knife maybe one day I can keep dreaming I'm not a expert but you have a awesome collection there brother!!! Love your channel
If you are a Star Wars fan, Microtech has “Bounty Hunter” combat trodoon that is boba fett themed and also X wing Microtech edition that’s aluminum and red with the x wing fighter logo on them.
Some great knives there. I've collected knives ever since I was in the boy scouts. They're something we can actually collect in the UK (other than flick knvies) without any real issue.
I have the perfect knife for you. It is a Olamic Soloist prototype number two of 20. Has been on multiple knife channels, including metal complex. It is stunning. I am a huge knife collector as well.
Ohh man!! You're into knives now. Man that itch gets strong. It might surpass your gun.. its fun and you will ejoy it. So far you're off to a good start.. that mammoth one is a William Henry
You've got 2 William Henry in there with mammoth scales. Said you'd never use them? don't sleep on WH knives. I've had one for close to 20 years. Have punished that knife and it never fails. pretty can be fully functional too. I have opened cans with mine, gutted fish, put it through the paces. never failed!
The fact that you more than one Deadlock is crazy to me, because i cant even find one. 😢 Also the mammoth handle Damascus knife is a William Henry. Mostly found in high end jewelry shops.
Having a long sword collection would be cool. I would have no idea what to pick for a zombie apocalypse. Katana, Longsword, or spear. Price and materials... I’ve wanted a ball and chain mace before
In my opinion, a William Harsey and Bob Terzuola knife should not be missing. A folding knife and a fixed knife from the two look good in every collection 👍
Direware, DSK Tactical, Medford, Mitchell Clark, Chris Reeve, Strider, Dwyer Custom, Heretic (Microtech's founder son) are a few to look at. Then your collection will truly get started.
How do you appraise the value of these knives, do you base it off what you paid? Being a distinguished collector I figured maybe you know something we don’t! Do they hold more than maybe 50% of their value? Believe it or not being a top knifemaker doesn’t help me at all with this… I still can’t understand how collectors assess their value! 🤣
Man your collections are amazing I have a good size knife about 30 but my whole collection probably costs less than one of your knives lol,but either way love seeing the stuff you get
The 2 mammoth knives are made by William henry. The abalone inlay knife is a Marfione (microtech) custom Strider knives edition. Gavin Hawk is a god for out the front knives and they are perfect in every way. You need the Model A and B of the deadlock to complete the series. Being a knife and gun collector, you should really pick up one of the forged in fire tv show knives. I happen to have one of the 2 falcatta swords from season 1 for the finale piece if desired and my friend has the bowie from the same maker, show, its just the first build knife vs the finale piece i have. Both come with a bunch of provenances. Im a knife and gun collector, hunter, and all things manshit. Its an addiction and i wouldnt change it for anything. Too much fun for functional highly detailed craftsmanship and art/historical artifacts that still function. Your contents awesome. Stay Sharp!!!
Cool! I was lucky and discovered J. Nielsen in 2003 before he was a Master Bladesmith and just getting going, way before Forged in Fire. It’s a custom push dagger with sheath with ray skin inlay made by his first wife. He’s only gotten better since then.
Vero Engineering, Chris Reeves, Chaves. Higher end types of Benchmade, Spyderco. That will get you going 😂😂 Hate to tell you though but it is definitely as addictive collecting knives as it is guns.
Was able to score a cris Reeve “zaan” not long ago frm DLT 😁. It tried getting in on the Les George mk3 drop last wk, as soon as they hit the site they were gone. I don’t know how people are able to checkout so quick!
That’s similar to Vero drops. No clue how they do it. Must be waiting to click!! I like the new American Blade Works Model 1. My last purchase was a custom Spyderco Mini Smock from Gecko Customz Bladeworks. Freaking love it!
They only made 500 of the Hawk Deadlock OTF John Wick Edition. The blades of the Hawk OTFs lock out better than any other OTF. They have no play at all when the blade in extended
I've never owned a folding knife myself untill I saw the ranger green benchmade bugout and it was love at first sight. It's the only one I own and it's possible I'll never buy another because that would mean buying one I like less than the bugout and why would I do that.
Knives are like guns, you don't need but a few but you want them all.
If that ain’t the truth
@@mellowsworld56 tattoos are the same for me too.
Whatcha mean "don't need" ? 😂

Holy shit

143 was code used on beepers back in the day that ment "I Love You." Really nice collection! Thanks for sharing.
pager code! 143 823! haha
Nice collection might want to look up Hinderer, Chris Reeve, les George, strider , Shirogorov Knives. Also demco as a very Fun knife.

William Henry knives on the mammoth grips, they make BEAUTIFUL knives !
That last hawk knife you showed “your favorite” is a collab with my favorite knife maker of all time Serge Panchenko!
I believe the one that you couldn't remember what the inlay was a Mick Strider Custom with abalone inlay and polished blade. Also 2000 for that knife is a very reasonable price.
Way more fun then someone explaining everything in detail 🤣👍
In my opinion the antique/military knives, swords, daggers are much more interesting than these modern ones.
man beautiful collection, that was more that 20k worth of knives btw lol great channel btw
Definitely more lol
3 Knives I recommend that are cheaper but great quality.
Spyderco paramilitary 2
Benchmade griptilian
Ontario rat 2
you'll need a ZT 0562TI for that collection boss.
Hot damn thats a sweet collection! And there I was bragging that the most I spent on a knife was $340

Beautiful collection 👍
I can’t remember if you said or not but what do you do for a living or did? Always killer stuff
Geezus FINALLY THE VID DROPPED
Also go to the Blade Show in Atlanta in June.
You should look into the South African knife makers mate, they are some of the best blade smiths in the world. 👊👍

William Henry for the fancy mammoth knives, I believe.
