answer is simple. She is just jel...no no no. She. Is. JEALOUS!!! She wanted glory for attacking fane. And wanted it even more from Izz.
This is why I declared Drezen independent on my Azata run.
It's not JUST jealousy. She's also literally suicidal from managing the crusade for a century. She feels she can't abandon her post so she tricks herself into thinking that various suicidal gambits are necessary/good. Including 1. Leading in the vanguard on the first drezen fight. 2. Participating in the raid on the fane. 3. The assault on iz.
Demon Commander: uses demon powers Galfrey: calm
Lich Commander: uses necromancy Galfrey: still calm
Azata Commander: rushes into Fane early Galfrey: REAL SHIT

I just did this part on my playthrough with Azata! I liked being ahead of the demons in Midnight Fane falling all over each other because we are attacking.
Yeah it gives that level a very different feel. I really enjoyed it.

I plan to do so eventually but before I do so, might I ask, as far as you know, how to keep free crusaders all alive? Keep them all behind, and recruit all you can recruit before do this?
Also, Galfrey will arrive immediately after you are done? As in no more time to tend to crusading?
I have never finished Azata so not sure about keeping the free crusaders alive. If you are referring to Crusade Mgmt there is no way to avoid your armies being wiped after Act 3.
In my Azata playthrough I elected to wait. But it was an incredibly bad call.
Oh yeah going early is definitely worth it.
I have a question, as I want to keep the title of the commander as Azata and also do a secret ending. Can I choose to not do early assault as Azata (thus keeping my title by doing normal assault as Azata) and still get mythic level 10 to finish my transformation (as mythic transformation is required for secret ending)? Is this choice of not doing early assault on Midnight Fane not related to getting max level 10 as Azata later in the game, and I should be fine with getting secret ending by choosing to wait and to do normal assault?
Attacking Mythic Fane early does not affect your Mythic Level at all. It does to some degree affect your Azata storyline. To become a TRUE Azata you need to save specific chaotic characters including the Minotaur trapped here. Being a True Azata does not affect your Mythic level or your ability to get the secret ending.
@@SlanderedGaming Thanks for the answer! Good to know it won't block me from mythic levels and secret ending. As for rescuing that Minotaur, based on what I managed to find in guide, he isn't required for True Azata. Is this info correct? He gives +1 point towards True Azata route, so he only helps to contribute towards it (there are several other allies who will join Azata and certain decisions regarding them add points towards True). So I may be on True Azata with everyone else minus that Minotaur? Because if I wait and do normal assault, said Minotaur will be dead, and this is what I intend to do. Honestly, it's hard to find some up to date info about this game. :D

To be ENTIRELY FAIR. Her critique on you letting minagho go is valid. She's not repentant or anything, and she does deserve to die. Rest of it is shaky on purpose but yeah letting evil live with no indication of future change is usually a very poor decision.

Galfrey is such a Karen in this game. Always complaining to the manager of the Crusades 🤣 Iomedae isn't much better.
