Got any hilarious and obscure games you would want to see in the next video? Let me know and If its selected will get a special shout out in the next vid!
I would recommend the Overlord games, if you haven't covered them already. Very much the same style of "parody fantasy", with a good sense of humour. The first game has aged kinda poorly (it has some SERIOUSLY clunky controls and mechanics), but Overlord 2 still holds up pretty well!
Close, we spent HALF the budget on comedy writers, because we were practically just two guys developing the whole thing and I was the one who handled narrative. Then again, the budget was pretty much 0, so I guess you could be technically right as well… It’s always nice seeing someone who appreciates Zenith despite its flaws. Considering its humble origins, it didn’t sell badly and could have even been called a bit of a success… if the publisher hadn’t taken the money and ran away, also leaving us locked out of the console versions in the process haha Ah, the joys of being a small indie developer! I always recommend the PC version, since it’s the one we developed directly (and also the only one we actually own). If you like the blah and the humour, though, we later made Epic Chef, a much more solid game that is set in the same world as Zenith. “Food Wars in the Discworld” would be a good way to describe it. In any case, thank you for the kind words, I’m glad you enjoyed the story!
Thanks for taking the time to watch the video. Sucks to hear about your issues with the publisher and thank you for putting so much time into making the game. Even if the game is rough around the edges It was your writing that took the game to another level and I hope this video helps showcase that to those that haven't seen it. Will 100% take a look at Epic Chef m8. Thanks again for the comment. PS If you are ever looking for voicework id love to be involved. :)
@@MitchManix Thanks, mate! Just let me point that without my partner there wouldn't have been a game at all! The ammount of elements he handled was, and still is, colossal. (We also got help from friends at a few stages of development, even if for most of the project we were only two fellas) Will keep you in mind for VA for future projects. It definitely helps that you're in tune with our style :) Cheers!
First of all. Thanks for you hard work and the games. The world needs more funny games and it is fine if they are a bit clunky or rough around the edges. But now to the MOST important question everyone is asking that just heard of the game and its developer. Where is the music in 23:03 from? Really...I agree with Mitch and that i also think i know the music from somewhere. Sound maybe a bit like from a Silent Hill like game? Maybe an aetheric FinalFantasy X toilet room? Please bring us some knowledge here... Thanks :)

That song isn't from Bard's tale man. Its been around since the 1930's, my grandfather used to sing it on the way to school. Its called beer beer beer.

23:05 Makes sense why this song reminds you of another game. One of the instrument is playing "The Song of Time" From "Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time."

Maybe that Sound track that seemed from an RPG somewhere let me ask ~ ~ Did you ever play or watch a "Let's Play" of the Old PS 1 & 2 games of "Dark Stone" 1 & 2 ? 23:00 i think ist Ocarina of Time. that was like jumpy from side to side with high soft paino with hint of hope. Also it weirdly reminds me Torchlight II first zone soundtrack.
