I'm not sure, but I think you included the first expansion. The most common card in the basic game is the blue bean (20) and the basic game is playable with up to 5 players. Or maybe this is just because of my old german version of the game.
They don't really include the first expansion, only the most important part of it. But yeah, here in Brazil the game being sold is the original, 3-5 player german version

It's a simpler version that can be changed to an advanced version with the addition of other cards. And scales well. The 2 player version works well too.

You are correct, the Rio Grande version currently available in the States includes the first expansion in the box.
Romania too! I have no coffee, chocolate beans or wax beans (4, 24, 22). Also my box is much smaller.
