Poison The Well are absolutely amazing. They just blow me away. The guitar that kicks in at 0:50 seconds is so sweet. The vocals on this track are absolutely insanely cool. This band are just mind-numbingly awesome.
I asked Jeff to sign this DVD after a show and he said his friends would use them as beer coasters. One of the most legendary and underrated bands in the world.
The album is a masterpiece. The fact that they followed up Opposite of December with a record like this is unfathomable. You Come Before You is fantastic as well.
This is from 10 years ago, most hardcore bands played just like that live. I'll admit it looks a little silly but it's what was cool at the time. Putting every shred of energy into your live set, as opposed to downtuning and ripping off meshuggah like most bands do now.
Thankfully many hardcore bands still put some effort in when playing live. The Chariot for example. Now there's a band everyone should see live once lol.
Great song by one of the best bands around. Jeff Moreira can sing, one of the best in heavy music right now, what are you talking about drproffessional?anyway pretty much all live DVD's are cleaned up in the studio afterwards.
Wrap around the white pavement feels so inviting so lie back and gain bruises with me it's been a long time since I've seen you from above You’re still beautiful leave here we'll start something new in our embrace with that crash your parts into mine Intoxicate me with your many voices And I'll never leave you and I'll never leave here I’ll never leave you Intoxicate me with all your voices And crash your parts into mine So lost inside of you ‘til now I think we waited too long So lost inside of you ‘til now I think we waited too long lock your doors and close your shades I'll never find Leave here we'll start something new in our embrace
You were the "cool kid" in your graduating class, then. Because this song and those albums are much older than that. Came out when I was in middle school Fuck man, we are all getting so old
I saw these dudes with the Bled and The Kinnesons. I fucking hated the Kinnesons. The Bled were good but goddamn it, Poison The Well are classic! Them and Glassjaw never get old to me!
@backseatdriversyo Same here bro. I'm only 20 so I got the tail-end of the hardcore phase but I still get all the nostalgia when I go back and listen to PTW, among others.
I only just brought myself to buying versions today. All my friends said it wasnt even worth hearing. So true, What happened to the old Poison the Well with the amazing anthems gutt wrenching guitar?
Versions should be appreciated differently than their first 3 records. They wanted to experiment with it more than they already were with the music and it’s actually a great record, aged very well, it’s just different.
"And crash your parts intoooo, MINE!!!" Woooo brother the feels everytime. Geez what kind of equipment are they using those guitars sound hella chonky.
oh and derek didnt want to play heavy music anymore. he is pursueing softer things. so said mr primack when i talked to him after a show. millers fav bands were deftones and team sleep ahha
to be fair gave it a second chance and saw them live the other week and its not half bad. If it were a different band that made the same album, it would be brilliant!
and after all those years, this is still such an awesome song...
*bump*
The entire album is sic
14 years later and your comment couldn't be any more true.

one of my fav songs from the album it gives me the chills.
Still makes my smirk that the record closes on the same oddball chord it opens on. That's cool as.
The album is a masterpiece. The fact that they followed up Opposite of December with a record like this is unfathomable. You Come Before You is fantastic as well.

So good. Tear from the red is my favorite album.
Thank you! That album doesn't get enough love and it's absolutely mint from start to finish. The greatest metalcore record ever written.
it would be so awesome to see them play this and then go right into Botchla (for obvious reasons).
Thankfully many hardcore bands still put some effort in when playing live. The Chariot for example. Now there's a band everyone should see live once lol.

@TheBluntman954 You're from Broward. What high school did you go to?
No it doesnt, the new stuff is more progressional, it really shows how good they really are as musicians
They are an incredible example of musical progression.
I know. Fuck.
I swear this was in El Paso in 04
well, basically it's a different band - so expect different music. this album was definitely my favorite though (although none of them are bad imo)
to be fair gave it a second chance and saw them live the other week and its not half bad. If it were a different band that made the same album, it would be brilliant!
