I'd buy an Poison The Well Documentary in an instant let alone a new album. And if they came to Australia, I'd be seeing them with no hesitation.
Hell yes!
Most definitely
Opposite of December and tear from the red were my jam.
Those first 3 records changed the shape of music. Especially December without that record so many bands we listen to would not even be around today. Truly pioneers of the hardcore scene.
truth, and for those that knocked this album truly don't understand the creative boundaries these dudes pushed
the December album is the single most influential album of my life. also one of the only albums ive ever listened to that I wouldn't dare skip a single track. it still means a lot to me to this day
maxwelld23 well put
AGree!
Pioneers of metalcore
For a guy that once recorded a lyric screaming "I just want to be fucking happy", glad to see it worked out for you Jeff... I'll buy you a beer if you guys make it back to Aussie \m/
Steve Tuck pleasant bullet was my favorite song for a long time, still fucks me up. It got me through so many things.
I'm so glad they did make that album.. Tropic Rot is absolutely incredible
Big Fan! OOD, TFR, YCBY a huge part of my teenage years! Albums still on rotation! They have never written a bad album! Id kill for some new PTW I think it's about time 2023 is a huge year for comebacks! Please make another album! I'd be......so happy.
My first concert was a Thursday concert during their Full Collapse era in 02. Poison The Well was opening for them. I was blown away and became a huge Poison The Well fan after that show.
His younger brother was my best friend...died in 1999, only 16 years old, changed my life... R.I.P. Williee Moreria, I regret not going to your brothers concert that day.
Humberto Zapico oh damn dude didnt know that happened... Changes the way I see the songwriting content also. sorry for you and his Jeff’s loss.
Shit
:(
I pray every day that this new PTW record becomes a thing. I need you guys right now, and while the older albums help so much, new PTW albums have a way of renewing me.
why are there so little for interviews with Jeffrey? He literally changed my life
I really hope you can come back to Costa Rica. I had a blast years ago and wanna repeat the experience!! Love you forever dudes!
I cried my literal eyes out when y’all played this. One of the best nights of my life.
even if im like over half a decade late to seeing this, it's interesting and almost refreshing to see he's so open to make a new PTW record, and even says that even if it doesnt go so well it'd be worth it just to see how everyone's evolved. i personally would fucking LOVE that, and if eighteen visions dropped their best works over a decade after they split up i'll bet the whole fuckin farm PTW could as well
This is why I love this guy this band and his lyrics. Some of those lyrics esp YCBY and Tropic Rot I don’t think came easy, reaching deep inside, without cliches, putting words on the most vulnerable and raw sensations and coming out with something transcendent. It’s something special to go to the darkest places and emerge with a shining diamond.
So under appreciated in todays world…like I never hear them getting credited for nothing and it’s a shame
You guys were an amazing band. It's a damn shame you guys are gone.
Dude! So glad I just found this channel. You guys have two of my favorite albums of all time. I still listen to y'all like I'm stuck in time. Opposite of December and Tear from the Red are timeless, t i m e l e s s albums, man. Seriously underrated. Y'all got in my bones deep in 8th grade. I'm 27 now.
I play eurorack synth and hardly listen to anything with a guitar anymore, period. But you guys are magic. Jeff's voice never fails to give me goosebumps and the way you guys pace the style of your songs is perfection. Like . . you don't chug like metal was going out of style and Jeff is the perfect amount of whiny to showcase that intense loner goth violent skinnykid feel that I still get from listening to your music, even though I'm a buff 27 year old Dad now.
LOVE YOU GUYS
First time i seen ptw was with dtones, still one of my favorite shows of all time.
How the hell Jeffrey Moreira is so fvcking massive on Live performances like this? This band is one of its kind, love them!
new album please!
I met the band back in 2009 in Jacksonville NC. They were the final band and the band I most wanted to see. I made my way to the front and completely lost my ever-lovin’ mind, singing to every song.
Afterwards, I hung around and waited for the band to come out to the bar area and no s***, Jeff saw me from across the way and walked directly to me. He had his hand out and told me that he really appreciated me singing every song and for being absolutely bat-s***. He asked me if I wanted to hangout outback to where I absolutely said yes.
I had been trading up for a deployment the to Afghanistan the following May so that concert was a great send off…even if it was like ten months prior.🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾
Poison the Well, and MeWithoutYou, i frequently forget about, and its unfortunate, cuz theyre awesome
Jeff's voice is perfect for this song. fuking make a new album!!
Good god I hope they release this live footage...even just the audio.
I love the old albums as much as everyone else, but Versions is my most played album of almost any band. Such a unique album that got completely overlooked. A Versions 20 year anniversery set might not make as much money, but damn i would be there right up front.
Parks is my favorite song and they performed it perfectly
Please yes! New poison the well! We need it!
Awesome guys! Cheers from Brazil!
Awesome Chi-town show!!! Drove 4 hours from.... Wisconsin! You guys played everything I wanted to hear plus some. Amazing!!!
Nate Linden that show changed me. Happy I got to see them.
WTF they played a chicago show a year ago!?!?!?!? FUCKKKKKKKKK I'd have been there in an instant! I drove from Madison to Chicago for many shows. Thought they were gone forever :(
Saw 'em at the Loft in Madison, along with Robot Moshfest (when that was still a thing... oh god the good ol' days)
Jeff was always a really cool dude. LMFAO He explained the meaning of "Zombies are good for your health" to my ~17-year-old self (28 now)... "When I'm down, watching zombie movies make me feel better" or something like that (paraphrased) --here I assumed it was some metaphor that went over my head haha
Should have asked about "turn down Elliot" since that's pretty much my name lmfao
Hell yea. One of the top shows of my life
I was lucky to see yall twice. First time was with Deftones and Denali in NOLA in 2003. It was honestly the greatest concert I ever have and ever will see.
Second time was at a church in Madison, MS around the same time on the Velociraptour (hehe). I know Underoath was the headliner, but I can't remember who else played. It was seriously in some bigass room at the back of the church. Reception room, I guess? It was PACKED and I was standing right in front of POTW's new guitar player, losing my damn mind, sweating my ass off, drunk as shit off orange vodka and PBR.
Thank you for all the amazing music you've made and hopefully will continue to make.
Jason King said Denali played with poison the well? Mara is just as awesome. I loved them so much in the 2000 century change
This upsets me that I didn’t realize they had a farewell tour and that this was in my neck of the woods Pomona...
I love you guys so much & I appreciate your music it helps me a lot in so many ways 💙
Can't wait for new stuff
There will only ever be one Poison the Well - influenced more bands than we can count, replicated by none. Legends of Hardcore for ever and always.
Fuuuck he sounds good after all that time away! New album and tour please!!
this guy stole what i was gonna say hahahah. They are truly an amazing band love the work you guys have done in the past ' grew up in high school listening to tear from the red . thanks again for your music

3:35 boiiiiiii 🔥🔥🔥
Wondering what these guys are doing in 2021? Been my jam since high school, and into 2021 still the greatest!
Just saw them play a show in Vegas last night! fucking still killing it 22 years after The Opposite of December
Please write new music and come to the UK!
Well, a few days ago, they said on Instagram in the comments that a new record is not going to happen.
Christian Barker wtf 😠😤
Please do it!!
holy shit, Jeffrey and Chino might as well be twins these days... Haha Jeff is the "bald" twin 😂
Chino from Deftones ? Cause you're fucking spot on aha
Poison the Well actually took some influence from Deftones, you can clearly hear it from their 2nd album onwards.
I remember when he was a little kid!!!!! I wad even smaller!!! Hahaha club q Davie florida jeff
Russell Paloor Club Q, had some good shows
What song is played at the end??? I’m new to PTW and holy shit that song is pure bliss.
Parks and What You Meant to Me.
yes, it reminds me a bit of Deftones.
idol
fuck yes!!!
Jeff has a Hispanic accent? I never knew that.
same, would never have guessed by hearing his vocals on the records. xD
this guy definitely share the same soul with Chino Moreno
What's the name of the first song at the beginning?
Dale Kay Purple Sabbath
Please do it already
Heeey, that's next door to the Glass House in Pomona!
Jeff Abandy I miss 2nd street before they fucked it up and got stupid assholes stopping loitering everywhere and the housing prices went up killing the studios
New Record Please!
Come back!!!!
Miami hardcore
Please write a new record!
Come to Wisconsin!! Dammit! There needs to be a PTW/Deftones tour or Just as cool PTW/Protest the Hero tour! PTH doesn't seem to come to or like Wisconsin either...
Nate Linden they did back in day the tones suck now they lost chi.
@@john1120 they don't suck at all lol, their 2016 album Gore was their best.
@@DanteLikesRock lmao what you smoking because it's working.
@@john1120 even if you dont agree that Gore is their best, Diamond Eyes was great too, and it was after Chis death. Get over yourself.
@@DanteLikesRock You fake ass fan stfu. You just started liking the band you know how i know? You mentioning their later titles that everyone just started listening to thx to tik tok. You have yet to experience deftones at they're best aka when CHI Cheng was still alive not "chris". Where was you when adrenaline dropped? What about around the fur?. What about self titled? What about Saturday night wrist?...notice I left out the popular titles. Diamond eyes is where I draw the line that album was a love letter to Chi. Other than that I could careless gore isn't worth the listening time or anything after. Don't try to argue with me over one of my favorite bands you novice.
How the fuck can that man scream like that diaphragm and all and still be able to sing that well . Unbelievable
Met him at Rams Head in Baltimore over 15 years ago, straight grounded dude even back then
He looks like Total Biscuit.
That crowd ain't fucking rowdy enough!! Amateurs.
RyanIsARecluse for real man not like back in the day ( god I'm old) but I've been hit so many times at shows in the late nineties and early two thousands I'm surprised I was able to have kids
they started catering to the emo scene and hence the wackness
Dude he would never be able to complete an entire touring cycle
Geoff Lyon I remember reading he had to stop a tour while touring opposites of december because his voice went completely out, then had to get a vocal coach to recreative a vocal technique just for him.
hes getting old
