This is the only metalcore song that has made me cry. My beloved cat companion Shadow died about 4 months ago at the age of 15. I had listened to this album a lot over the years but I listened to it most around the time I first adopted Shadow. It had been awhile and I decided to revisit Poison the Well again. This song just broke me with the musically-induced flood of memories. This was and will always be my favorite PTW song.
I love you man, I have 4 cats and I'd be completely lost if anything happened to any of them. I know he lived his best life cause he was with you. And you're right this is THE best Poison The Well song. So much beautiful melancholy. Sending love from across the pond my friend.
I hope time heal your wounds man, losing a pet it's so heart breaking. Shadow is up in heaven now taking care of you from up there
This band's melodic passages are always so lovely.
This band had the perfect mix of metalcore, post hardcore and a bit of emotive hardcore. Legendary!
This brings me back to middle school.
The way the album ends on the same chord as the start of 'Botchla' is so damn good.
Perfect observation bro 🤘
Wrap around
The white pavement
Feels so inviting
So lie back and gain bruises with me
It's been a long time since I've seen you from above
And you're still beautiful
Leave me
We'll... start something new in our embrace
With that, crash your parts into mine
Intoxicate me with your many voices
And I'll never leave you
And I'll never leave
And I'll never leave you
Intoxicate me with all your voices
And crash your parts into- mine
So lost inside of you
Till now, I think we waited so long
So lost inside of you
Till now, I think we waited too long
Lock your doors and close your shades
I'll never find...
Leave me
We'll... start something new in our embrace
My favorite band since 2000
beautiful track...so meaningfall...
Back in university, in 2005 or 6 or something, a friend gave me a copied CD of these guys. I loved them immediately.
I ended up seeing them the next year. They were awesome. It's a shame they never really got the attention they deserved.
They're currently my gym music.
still my favorite band to this day. i was an edgy goth teen and these dudes show up at ozzfest wearing white tshirts. that was my "i dont have to look like a weirdo to fit in with this scene" moment.
@@Meilk27those same people walked up to me and handed me a poison the well promo album and the rest is history(06 ozzfest)
So glad I got to see and become friends with the bands of this era along playing with them smh so glad lol if not I wouldn’t be where I am today
One of their best songs ❤
Intoxicate me with all your voices and crash your parks in to mine.
Jesus, how big does it have to be to be considered a park?
Think it “parts” not parks but m sure it’s a type o
They ended their show during the reunion tour with this and it remains the best moment in 25 years of concert going experiences for me.
Look up the live video at the bottom lounge. We all felt 20 again that night
Fantastic!
That distortion is SO THICK!!!
beautiful song, so heavy and melodic... reminds me a bit of Deftones.
