I always enjoy watching the show. Definitely one of the best technology podcasts out there with amazing insights and considered opinions by both. I’m also enjoying watching the progression of Hartley’s little book collection: varied, interesting and heavy! 💪 Not a white sock in sight.
Marques Brownlee said "no one asked for thinner" - but I suspect that this is step 1 towards a folding iPhone that doesn't double the thickness but manages to be reasonably thin even when folded.
Thin will be nice, lighter will be better. The iPhone 5 was 112 grams. The latest iPhones weigh in at over 180 grams. Im fed up holding a brick, bring back the lightest iPhone & I’m all in.
I drove up to an Apple Store to try the Vision Pro last week and I can both see why someone would love it and why someone would return it. Very excited for the future of it!
30:30 I perceive Hartley as being a fan of Apple's designs. That's so much of what Apple is and does. If you agree with Apple as a design interest, then you agree with Hartley. LOL I agree with Apple's designs much of the time, and so I agree with Hartley.
As for plastic, I wouldn’t want that in the Pro or regular phones, but the SE absolutely should be plastic! I don’t think it’s that bad. I felt like the iPhone 3G and 3GS felt premium although they were plastic!
I'm looking at the 16 Pro Max or the 15 Pro Max, It will depend on what the 16 offers for how much money, it'll have to have lots of improvements on the main cameras and the zoom, don't care about ultra wide, and it'll have to improve massively on the battery life, otherwise, when the 15 Pro Max becomes between 50-70% the price... That's a lot to save for up to 1 year of less OS upgrades. Yep, the thinner bezels will be nicer, I don't mind a bigger screen or device, and it should have more battery life, but the 15 Pro Max is enough, so we'll see what 'else' the 16 Pro Max will offer - the battery housing might be the main thing for me believe it or not.
There was never a reason to make the iphone or the Galaxy phones thicker. Never. They did it so that they could come back a few years later and make them thin again.
I don’t care about any of that stuff. All I want is an iPhone that has 120hz with real colors like they make for the base and plus models. I’m so sick of black white grey and dark shades of colors for the 120hz models
I 100% want slimmer and lighter but absolutely not at the cost of inferior features and definitely not at an ultra premium price. Quite frankly I'm still holding on to my iPhone 12, I'll just replace the battery and I don't feel I'm missing out on anything substantial. AI is not coming to the EU anytime soon anyway.
I am not up for a "slim", I want the best spec, and that means the "pro" for me. I would not care to much of a flip model. But if it was an "Ultra" above the pro then maybe... and even better if it was a ultra fold. But somehow I feel the phone is not the next big thing. I want a VR chip implanted in my brain.
What if, they made the “slim” a thinner one camera only, BUT aimed at the pros and selling different camera lenses that can attach to the phone ? Would be interesting.
for $1200 pros will just an SLR. there is a physical limit to how large you can make the sensor in an iphone. also, lenses need a much larger mount to attach so they can properly expose the sensor. at that point pros will just get the SLR.

I would definitely consider the iPhone 17 slim, especially if it is going to be a foldable phone.
Vision Pro is a gimmick, good decision
When do you think we will see Wi-Fi 7 in Apple products?

It's,It's gonna be a foldable Slim iPhone 17 , WEIRD ?
If it’s not foldable with pro features, I will keep my 16 Pro Max until it does. The folding is optional to me though.
whats with the Voice is he trying to be the CEO of THERANOS..

Are you returning the Vision Pro??
Watch the first few mins
He returned it so fast my head spun 😵
@@mikeo678 wow in previous videos he’s so hyped in getting one
I have to say, I love the release timing of these videos 👍
great work as always, thanks!
The "slim" phone must be the foldable.
It's why it's expensive, why it's lesser equipped, why it needs to be thin.
Someone's been watching max tech 🧐
@@Holden_McHock I am not familiar with that. I connected these elementary dots.
Why “Slim” and not “iPhone Air”?

Guys you know the 11 Pro vs the 12 Pro, they're the same size? It's like 3mm taller, the 15 Pro is the same size (as the 12 Pro).
Still wait with my iPhone 13 mini for everyone to come to their senses and we go down in size and not up #SmallPhonesFTW
Tribe has spoken on that phone buddy!
Cheese would be a very bad material for an iPhone.
I miss Hartley’s glasses

@@caseypenk i meant “pros” just like the ipad 4 pro that has absolutely nothing that deserves to be called pro
