Hi there, i am a big fan of your UA-cam channel. I have emailed you with a question specific to my situation, i would love to buy one of these well priced homes needing cosmetic renovations, semi-detached in the town center. Would appreciate your input.
@@samnimano2256 no, this community 'Galatina' hasn't defined 1 euro homes. But in another town that has the 1 euro program, it could have been one if the owners wanted to remove themselves from the burden of ownership and sell it for a lower price. .
Hi Dauvo Thank you for the answered. We are interesting projects 1euro home .We are planning to come in September. If the covid19 get better than now.Thank you again
Beautiful, beautiful property. I'm getting curious about Italy, so romantic towns. As an architect, for me is to much visual impact. I pause the video to see details, so nice. Thanks Dauvo. 👋👋🇭🇳
Thos was a grrat video and Awesome property! Wow! I totally agree with the idea of leaving where possible the interior wall patina, the walls are like beautiful watercolor paintings amd remind me of frescoes at Pompeii. It's great there are good people who both assist in purchases, renovation plans (so much work getting approvals and sourcing the right local craftspeople and builders, and even management. I'm going to take a look at his channel too.
I had to rewind the video when Davide said the price. Can't believe it was only 29,000 euros. Must be the bargin of the year. Thank you for this wonderful video. Looking forward to seeing more like it. You reminded me of the three muskateers when you were talking at the start😁
Hello Double Ds' ...lol. I'm excited to see what Davide is going to do with this property. @salentowithlove keep us posted and post video updates of renovation. So, are you renovating to later sell or more of an Airbnb? WOW only EU 29K, amazing...but how much will it cost to renovate the 2 properties !!
Love these guys. I'm in Lecce now going through this process and like any real estate transaction, there is no substitute for local knowledge and expertise--you need someone on the ground working on your behalf. I've never met Davide, but nothing he says is out of line with what I'm experiencing and I would feel comfortable trusting his judgment if I had to do all of this from a distance. So, bravo Davide and DauvO. I look forward to meeting you two one of these days.
Thanks Joe! Nice to hear it! Welcome! We're doing a lot of video from our trip to Calabria at the moment, but we'll get back to the Salento ones as soon as possible
New subscriber here! Love your videos. How is the market in Italy? Here in Texas, houses sell within a couple days (if not hours!) of hitting the market.
You are right. In the end the keys didn't work.. and I lost that portion of video 📹 somewhere during my travels. Hope I can include that as we might share some remodel progress over time
@@DauvO Thank you, I'd say another thirty to bring up to modern specs. Would be very interested in seeing that process with a running total at each stage. How labour is sourced, etc. Basic training for property renovation is the idea. Separate channel maybe? Another string to your bow.
Dear Dauvo, how is the crime rate in Southern Italy ? I am a little concern for what I hear. Sometimes no garbage pick up things line that see e to be somewhat not organized environment
The hardest part is to estimate the cost of renovation before purchasing the property. Thank you for the video. Any idea which Italian banks would lend to Italians living and working in the US? Thank you.
Hi davo Im just starting to look into buying something in Calabria hopefully in Cosenza or paulo have you got anything? I will do some google searches and keep an eye out on your channel I live in Australia and will be travelling to Italy in September. Thanks in advance. 4:28
Very nice. But having work done while living in the US does give me concern. My friend bought a house on Eleuthera and had major problems with contractors. After five years he gave up hope on the project and sold at a loss. I felt bad for him.
I feel bad for you friend too Jeff. The remote refurbishment process is exactly what I’m navigating now and it can be done. I’m enjoying it very much actually. I’ve been fortunate to align with the right team.
@@mharrisona5526 having a good crew that’s trustworthy is worth it’s weight in gold. I was in the middle of a rehab when my son in the USAF was nearly killed. We had to drop everything and leave because the AF was no sure he would survive. I spent the next year and two months at Eglin AFB attending to him and trying to hire contractors to complete work I started. The wife helped as much as she could but we ended up be taken several times. Dishonest contractors and poor workmanship was on our plate. The kitchen contractor almost burned our house down due to illegal wiring. The county actually wouldn’t give us an occupancy permit until the house was rewired. That cost me 10k that I hadn’t planned on . So I’m happy to hear that you have people you can trust. 👍👍
Hey ya'll, hope you enjoy. The beginning audio is a bit rought, but it improves after some seconds. Have a great day!
Hi Dauvo..Is that house in the project of 1Euro home?

Absolutely would keep the patina of the walls! The second unit is outstanding. Only thing missing is a garden area for me. €29k?! I’m dying!

Very peaceful! How special!
I agree!
Amazing potential! Looks like a lot of “uncovering” needs to be done.
Really enjoyed this style of video!
Thanks for that tour and perspective! What a team! Gotta say I’m ready to do a bit of exploring there myself in September. 🛫🇮🇹😃
What a find! It's going to be an incredible home for you to relax in.

I liked the content. Maybe I missed it, but it how much was it? How much needs to be spent to renovate it?
Purchase price was at the very end ...29k
We didn't talk about the renovation in this one, but hope to keep you updated on the status overtime
