I just saw your video. I am looking at property in Italy. I am watching videos of the different places to purchase a house. I am getting to realize that Italy has so much to offer and a person needs to fine tune what they really want. Thank you for your explanation. I will look at your website on the internet.
Great vid Richard , very informative. I am solo from Cornwall in the uk , 58 and have just retired and have been investigating on idealista a one or two bed apartment to rent in Turin . I picked Turin as it is close to the alps for skiing which is my favourite thing to do while I can ,I also enjoy cycling and walking . As I am solo I would like I think to be in the city unless you think otherwise . One major spanner in the works , Brexit freedom of movement. Really appreciated.
Hi Norm, thanks for your positive comments! I would suggest not buying in Turin. It's a great place to visit but not so good to live in, unless you really love the things bigger cities offer and can put up with the noise, pollution, etc. I would suggest somewhere like the city of Cuneo or Mondovì. Much nicer to live in and much closer to the ski resorts. Mondovì is one of my favourite towns in the area and is beautiful. There you'll only minutes from skiing. Ahh Brexit... we already had residency, of course, being here so long, but it won't make things easier. The Italian government has a good understanding with Italy so it shouldn't change too much. Hope this helps!
I absolutely loved this video and you were a great host. I am going to look you up before I visit there and look around in October. Hi Petunia, thanks so much for your comments! I'm happy you found the video useful. It is a beautiful part of Italy. I will check the links. The video is 'old' and things change so thank you for letting me know. Hope to see you here!
Thanks Richard, for this very helpful video! I've watched it for the second time now, did a lot of online research and narrowed my search down. My preferred area to purchase is now in Asti province, in the cities that you list on your video. I'll keep watching your videos, hoping to find the new ones soon that explain the purchase process. Many thanks!
@@langheproperty What Monferrato and Cuneo offer is unique ... mountain walking, skying, easy day trip to Monaco Montecarlo as well as historical places all around Monferrato .... let us not forget the Langhe offer extraordinary food and wine

Hi Brian, Casale Monferrato? I concentrated on the most popular parts of Piedmont for foreign buyers and I couldn't cover everything and I don't know every part. Piedmont is big. You should make a video about it if it's close to your heart. I'd love to hear about it from someone that knows it well.
True!! Nice places indeed. It's just us foreign buyers prefer the hills around Alba and Asti but these nice towns shouldn't be overlooked. Thanks for watching and the comment.
What about buying in Turin? The center is beautiful. We'd like to be able to walk to cultural events, restaurants, etc., and drive to the mountains and countryside.
Thank you for this informative video! How is it around Acqui Terme and Ovada? I saw a restored farmhouse and it looks beautiful, but I don't know the area.
Hello ! We live in southern california where there are all kinds of olive trees , vinyards( used to be rather ) and such , so we are used to seeing it. Seems like the peidmont area would be a perfect fit for us , as we own our own home and the sale price of it would most defiantly buy a nice place . We have money from pension plans and such coming in , so the money from the house wouldn't be all we would have . But ... there are things to consider such v h as closeness to medical care , ( we are in our late 60's ) , property rights , water rights , ect . Of course , we really wouldn't want to spend all the money from sale of our home here on a p.ace there . We'd like to keep some of that in reserve .
Do you recommend the city of Alessandria? Between Asti and Alessandria, what factors would you consider? The train routes are super important. Thank you
It's a good question! Honestly, I don't know the answer. No one talks about Alessandria with any passion or recommends visiting it. It has a lot of industry. We've been invited for lunch there next week, so we will see it for the first and I'll be happy to report back on our findings.

Hi Richard, love the video. Piedmont recently caught my eye. I’ve got a young family, they live in the U.K. I live and work in the Middle East. We would like to move away from.the rat race a bit and away from an increasingly, undesirable, U.K. Any advice greatly appreciated.
Sorry guys! Been so busy. Yes, we did the same! Our son was 6 when we came here. We thought it was a good move for us. I never miss the UK for a single second and we're so glad we got our son out. Lifestyle is great. Good weather, food, etc. People are easier going. We had a problem with one school, a couple of the teachers were terrible, but someone local did some homeschooling for 6 months and it was fine. Hope this helps!!

The weather is good. This year is the hottest we've seen since being here. We might get one week of hot weather but this year it's been 3 weeks. But we survive. The winters are milder now. There was a change 3-4 years ago. We used to get snow but now hardly any. Autumn is always fantastic. I love the weather here, but be cautious, I'm from England..! But seriously, it is great. The south of Italy is wonderful but too hot and north of the Alps is totally different.

I just stumbled upon your channel. Love you content. Could you cover the province of Biella? This city/province is also know for textiles and great wines and food too. Many high fashion brands have roots here. I was born there but never grew up in Italy. Biella has beautiful places too, Lago do cicerone, Santuario di Oropa, etc.
Thanks Mo! Yes, you are right, Biella is beautiful but I already get so busy here so can't cover all area. Maybe in the future I will try. It's a great idea. Where did you grow up? OK, we're guys, we never do, but you know what I mean ;-)
I just saw your video. I am looking at property in Italy. I am watching videos of the different places to purchase a house. I am getting to realize that Italy has so much to offer and a person needs to fine tune what they really want. Thank you for your explanation. I will look at your website on the internet.
Thanks Diane. The wine is on me when you come..!
@@richardedwards7780 ...comunque a Torino si sta benissimo! 😉
I absolutely loved this video and you were a great host. I am going to look you up before I visit there and look around in October. I found your video very informative and didn't realize how beautiful this part of Italy was. Just to let you know the links below did not work for me. It says page not found. Maybe it's just my computer? I subscribed and will be back soon.
Hi Petunia, thanks so much for your comments! I'm happy you found the video useful. It is a beautiful part of Italy. I will check the links. The video is 'old' and things change so thank you for letting me know. Hope to see you here!
Here I am again :) THANK YOU for what you do.
Visit Cuneo (nearby) and delight in experiencing Cuneesi al Rum ..
Cuneo is great. Cuneesi... hmmm, I'm trying to lose weight. They are fantastic and Cuneo is like a small Torino.
So informative! Thank you! I’m putting Piedmont on my list of must visits!
Thanks, great video. My wife likes olive trees so we're looking at Tuscany unless you can advise otherwise!
Hi Andrew, thanks!! It is possible to grow olive trees here!! And it's much cheaper than Tuscany ;-) Feel free to email me: re.langhe@gmail.com
@@langheproperty What Monferrato and Cuneo offer is unique ... mountain walking, skying, easy day trip to Monaco Montecarlo as well as historical places all around Monferrato .... let us not forget the Langhe offer extraordinary food and wine
Thank you for this. Excellent synopsis.
Your info is very helpful , but you seem to be aiming at upper crust homes…Im interested in small single dwelling under 100k..ant suggestions please?
Ah sorry! It's a huge area so to take on houses in the lower ranges is not easy and a perfect way to stay broke. You do well to find houses with local agents then get some good expert advice! ;-)
Maybe I missed it but no mention of Casale? 🤔
I know Savigliano, Fossano, Saluzzo and the others that got skipped over. In my mind they would also be wonderful places to live.
True!! Nice places indeed. It's just us foreign buyers prefer the hills around Alba and Asti but these nice towns shouldn't be overlooked. Thanks for watching and the comment.
Great job and explanation of the areas
Thank you!!!
Bellissimo video. La nostra provincia di Cuneo è bellissima.
Grazie!!!
Great Information. Thank you for doing this.
Thanks!! I hope I will get better ;-)
@@richardedwards7780 Not much room for improvement. It was one of the best videos I have seen on Real Estate.

fell in love with italy four years ago.......love to buy a small home with land...
Thank you! I'm not a huge fan of Acqui but it has a lot to offer. It's a matter of personal taste and needs but I would consider it.
Hello Richard! Always enjoy your insight. I am doing quite well./. Hav become an artist. How are you and Italy
Margaret!! Sorry, I got so busy this year and now just catching up when things are a little calmer. We're fine! Let's talk!
Thank you Richard! It does not appear to have any dramatic historical buildings but is well situated. I look forward to your assessment.
Hi Richard, If you had a chance to visit Alessandria I’d love to know your thoughts. Best
Great video! In the area and interested in day reconnaissance trips from Turin. Thinking 3 of your favorites…Where do you recommend we check out..? Thanks!
Thank you!! You should visit Alba, the Langhe wine area such as Castiglione Falletto, Canale is nice and Asti.
Thx Enjoying the videos from Napa Valley.
I was with a producer from Napa on the weekend. He loves it here. Thanks for the kind words!!
Very nice explanation and video. You really should mention wine 😀
Hmmm... wine... for sure we'll be doing videos on the amazing wines here. Keep watching. Thanks!!
Thank you for such an informative video, I feel like I can not concentrate my dreams a bit more :-)
Thank you orKKa!! Hope you can realise your dream. Should be a new video next week! ;-)
Beautiful Video ❤️ I think the pandemic and economic crisis have taught people the importance of multiple streams of income, unfortunately having a job doesn't mean financial security. I really appreciate the transparency and giving people a fighting chance during these troubling times.
Diversification of Investments is really a great idea for multiple streams of income.
I had interest in forex trading and stock investments, but I was discouraged after I lost over $13,000 doing that on my own😔
Forex trading and stock investments are really profitable, now is the best time to take advantage of the market and earn a lot. And of course to do that you need the help of a professional.
Thank you so much for your response. I have many questions concerning Forex trading and stock investments. I really want to make huge investments in both so I'd like to know if you could recommend a Professional Investment manager that would be able to guide me properly and also help me manage my investment.
Please how can I get in touch with this Alicia? I am interested in investing in with her. Thank you for the information
Hi Richard, love the video. Piedmont recently caught my eye. I’ve got a young family, they live in the U.K. I live and work in the Middle East. What is your take on moving a young family to the region, schooling, lifestyle etc? We would like to move away from.the rat race a bit and away from an increasingly, undesirable, U.K. Any advice greatly appreciated.
Sorry guys! Been so busy. Yes, we did the same! Our son was 6 when we came here. We thought it was a good move for us. I never miss the UK for a single second and we're so glad we got our son out. Lifestyle is great. Good weather, food, etc. People are easier going. We had a problem with one school, a couple of the teachers were terrible, but someone local did some homeschooling for 6 months and it was fine. Hope this helps!!
@@richardedwards7780 Thanks for taking the time to reply Richard. Appreciated. 👍

My grandfather came from Locana in Piedmont area. What do you know of it? I loved your video. Thanks Shirley
Sorry Shirley, I don't know that area. Sorry!!
Ciao! Thank you for this informative video!
If I may ask, are you familiar with Piero Barbero wines of Asti?
Hi Kristi, thanks! No sorry, I don't know them. There are so many wineries to explore here and I haven't come across Barbero. I know many others. I'll put it on my list of places to discover!
@@langheproperty Thank you for your reply
Excellent video - I just subscribed !
Thank you!! It means a lot. I'm trying to make time to do more.
Thank you for the very much for the informative video. I'm interested in 2 or 3 bedrooms apartments of villas. The views are stunning and looks like a beautiful place to retire.
Thank you Grace! Feel free to get in touch through my website.
What is the weather like in this area? I’m from Florida so just how cold does it get? Thank you sir!

@@langheproperty Do you have a Telegram channel where we could freely converse and chat? Or similar?
Oh my goodness, I come from Cuneo .... I love le Langhe, but from what you said ... not much else to see ...... please explore Piedmont ... The King of Italy came from near my town .... royal palaces everywhere, mountains to be explored and hiked through, ancient thermal baths and more ......
Thanks!! The video is more for people looking to buy a house in Piemonte. I think I do say that it's a great region but buyers concentrate on certain parts, for certain regions. You should do a video about these other parts. I'm sure people would love it..!! There's so much to be said and explored but it needs a lot more than 17 minute video ;-) Go for it!!
Thank you, I come from there but I live abroad! I must say Piedmontese have change over the years.... more friendly and less snooty. Please and go and visit various valleys around Cuneo.....France for a day trip is just one hour away... Montecarlo 2 hours away and a beautiful train ride over the Alps
Hi very nice informative video , we are planning to move in several years after the oldest son finishes his high school, we also have 2 years son , which area you would suggest for a children ? Is there some activities there for children? Good schools?
Yes, plenty for children. Our son was 6 years old when we moved from the UK and he loved growing up here and will never leave. Look around the towns of Asti and Alba.
Thanks for the positive comment...!! Appreciated..!
Moving there at the end of the year:)
Enjoy!!! We never looked back and will never leave.
Canadian wants to retire in Piedmont. Any legal issues to establish here? Would buy some reasonable property for cash ~250 000 USD Any advise? Thanks. Steven
I would like to meet you in Piemonte. I am looking for a place to stay for about 3000 a month. Can you suggest what site to use for a month rental. I am looking for a central location I guess near Asti. I have been to this area several times and stayed in Treiso.
Ah a terribly slow reply.... I know. Hope you get to visit. I'm not really involved in rentals but drop me an email..!
Love this video, thank you!
Thanks Kathryn! I buy the wine when you come then.. Hope to see you soon.

Hello! I was wondering if you could help me. My grandpa told us he was from a small farm above Genoa where he worked at the shipyards. His last name was Sito and heard it was by Turin. Is it or was it a town or farm? And how far is it from a hospital? I would love to live there where my ancestors lived. Could you send an up to date list of homes for sale it's just me? I also read that I could apply for duel citizenship because of my grandpa. When you get a chance please let me know. Ciao, Luisa
Sorry for the slow reply! By all means drop me an email.
The region is so so beautiful, but recently I was in Torino and that place is over, I run away.
Ah Torino, yes. It's fantastic but it's a good idea to go with someone that knows it well. It's easy to get lost in the bad parts and miss what is fantastic. I was there on Sunday and I love to visit.
Excellent!
Many thanks!
These videos are informative. It would be helpful if you showed the towns & areas on google map rather than flashing the list.
I'm working on a remake of this, so will do just that! Thanks!!
Hello, lovely description of Piedmont. Do you have any book recommendations for living in Northern Italy?

Thanks for this - I was interested in skiing and accessing the French Alps from Italy by car. So centrally located for that would be Aosta. Is there any information anyone can point me too for things I need to consider?
I'm not a skier - far too lazy and scared! But experts tell me there are 20 resorts within 90 mins of this area. You have a big choice. I'll see if I can find more info.
@@langheproperty Thanks. We are basing around Aosta. But my wife tells me it is a bland town. I was wondering the valleys run East-West - and the sun is in the south - is it better to have the sun on your back and be on the south or the north of the valley. Also how strict are the local police with kids on electric bikes to get into town?
@@langheproperty This was a good video by the way. We will start looking late next year - will be in contact.
which Italian region offers affordable housing prices in the countryside with the best scenery(Abruzzo, Umbria or piedmont)?
What is the best option to purchase a house in Italy? Wire transfer, cash or need an open bank account? Thank you
Has to be through a bank, no other way. On the day of the deed signing you pay with a bank's draft. It is possible to pay with a wire transfer but notaries don't like doing it. Thanks!!
Liked and subbed , thanks Richard.
Richard! Please, you didn’t mention chocolate, tartufi, cheese....there are many others delicious foods!
,
OK, together we can make a video about these things!! You bring the chocolate!!
Is this far from lake Como?

I rarely go that far south, sorry! I can't cover everything. I wish I could! Promote it!! Let us know.
Could you comment on Aosta?
Sorry Puiu, I can't, not an area I work, but I do work with an agent that works in Aosta. Drop me an email and I'll be happy to put you in touch. Thanks!! re.langhe@gmail.com
Thank you 🎉
What’s wrong with land that it’s flat? Very usable.
Nothing!!! Flat land is great but most buyers want to buy places in the hills for relaxation, not to buy a farm. Also, much of the flat land is grain or even rice so a lot of spraying and mosquitoes.. Thanks!!
