The ringed city was small and living there always felt more like beeing caged then anything else, so when Lord Gwyn asked for help in the fight against the Dragons, young Gael was the first to enlist into the army of Slaveknights. He fought bravely and was one of the few human survivors, but there were no thanks from Gwyn, just the order to go back to the Ringed city, and thats when he realized that it was a cage and that slaveknight was not only a title but also a description, A knight among slaves. And now he would go back there to this accursed city under the Watch of Gwyns youngest daughter and ruled by a corrupt church that was said to protect her. He had a wierd feeling when entering the City, it felt dead and empty, only a few Ringed knights patrolling the Streets. "Poor bastards", he thought to himself, "branded with a the curse to walk these Streets and protect the Kings. If only they knew that I came to end their rule, they would probably stop me" He couldn't help but to chuckle at the thought. He continued his way to the church, though as he stepped off of one of the elevators he froze in his tracks, A statue of Gwyn crowning a Pygmy, to depict his benevolent nature. Gael is such a powerhouse with his kit and lightning strikes, funny each Lightning Strike hits midir for over 600 and he is a bigboi gets hit by several
This is the reason why Gwyn feared the Humans because they utilized the power of the Dark. I believe the first humans who utilized such powers were the Ringed Knights prior to Gwyn installing them the Darksign on their chests after linking Humanity to the Flames to lock up their potential powers. Therefore, the Lords turned the Ringed Knights, from powerful dragonslayers to cannon fodder.
