As someone who has been a tester for this game since before they got a publisher, it certainly has changed from being pvp in terms of 4 scientists vs two aliens to this is the first instance of seeing actual weapons with questing and turning it into an extraction survival horror fps with pvpvp but i will say that the guys making this have always listened to feedback we gave them on the discord after playtests and are always willing to show off cool new stuff and be apart of their community as much as they can be. this is certainly an interesting development with what they have now.
Im just glad that we're getting an extraction game that ACTUALLY HAS A USEABLE IN GAME MAP TO FIGURE OUT WHERE THE EXTRACTIONS ARE!
My only concern is how the gear gap between high level players and low level players is gonna work.
Hunt Showdown has had this for 6 years. Just press tab for map at any time, all extracts and supply points are on the map from the second you load in
the cycle frontier, as well! one of the best ever, RIP😪
Aight. Hunt showdown is certainly a extraction game. But it's not an extraction looter. I know that's not what I said, but that's what I meant. Hunt does a really good job, but the overly exaggerated slow rates of fire in that game bug the hell out of me.
While cycle is certainly a extraction looter, it's dead and gone. I was referring to extraction games that *isint* past tense. (But it WAS a pretty good game by its own right. However, I question the devs decision to balance the gear with a hierarchy system. Getting cyberbullied by streamers using purples was NOT fun)
@@LifetimeThiccness To each their own, the exact reason I play Hunt is because of the slow rate of fire of bolt actions and revolvers. There is no other FPS game that feels like it.

defiantly a interesting concept being added to the genre tho the flashlights seemed like they were a bit inconsistent because they would look extremely bright one second and be barely visible the next

It looks interesting but the player controller looks a bit scuffed. Also, does the alien/monster(s) also get anything for being one? It seems like it'd be a bit boring if you can only get power ups as the monster with no progression outside of that one match.
You can sell your upgraded monsters to scientists to get money to buy things as a human I think

its pvpvpve, it didn't used to be pvp extraction it used to be 4v2 scientists trying to repair areas around the map while trying not to die from aliens, a lot like dbd but its been nice to see its been progressing
@@emmetthackett7046 Same difference. Games like these are always sweaty and unfun. Also seem to have more prevalent hacker problems too, which is problematic given how these games work. No matter how much I love the setting and feel I know I can't get into it.

@@Thepvpguy128 I *could* do that, but that'd be missing the point of what I'm looking for here. Something fresh, something good.
And I can't help but feel disappointed when I see a game like Marauders or Beautiful Light since I know they've got a really cool setting and most likely won't do anything meaningful with it. There are plenty of SP games that I could play, that I do play. But it's not what I'm asking for. Just wish they stopped hopping onto the extraction shooter trend and did something interesting.
I knew I recognized this game, it was announced in November of 2022 , slated with a 2023 release date. Always wondered what happened. Good to see the game is still being worked on. Fry you are a BEAST by the way, holy LMAOO

the camera/gun sway is a little nauseating, i'm hoping for an accessibility option to turn that off at least.

yay. Another extraction shooter that will struggle to find an audience and ultimately be crushed by Tarkov and Possibly CoD:DMZ... Look I'm not even sure that CoD DMZ has that much of an audience but you have to admit that this game is gonna have an uphill battle. Almost every other Extraction shooter has been an utter failure at this point and the cheating war a heavy contributor to it. These games with their high stakes attract them like flies to poop.
This game does not seem fun at all. In my opinion it’s mixing too many things together and won’t have longevity.
