So Tarkov for married dads with a job… fucking bring it here.
Exactly tarkov for people with a life
DAD TARKOV RULES!!!
Ikr. Looking forward to this game. Hopefully it doesn’t turn into a pay to win cashgrab.
I swear we need to see more of this from developers. I want a whole "Game for Dads" genre on steam 🤣🤣🤣
Its not p2w cos you will get enough money even if you lose to buy equipment@@dannykay4649
It would be genuinely hilarious if the Arena Break devs renamed the files just to piss of BSG lmao
That would be gold but I doubt it being tencent
Doesn't really make any sense that they would considering they clearly have skilled programmers and optimizing that code from unity to work in unreal engine would be a lot more work than making it themselves.
Yeah if it's a troll it's hilarious. But if they did idc BSG sucks
I've noticed that a lot of animations especially from mobile just straight up use the shit from tarky
as a dev myself. it would take like 20x longer to translate the code into another language and debug and have it even begin to work, than writing code yourself
Seriously in need of a PC code for Arena Breakout! Been itching to make the switch from mobile and experience the game on a whole new level
Been hooked on Arena Breakout mobile for weeks now! Absolutely brilliant
the tutorial put me in with a random guy and i made a friend :).

@@AyooHenry SAME hahaha
Same lol, just booted it up and thought I was gonna be put through a tutorial with a bot but then I hear a voice behind me and then we both set our key binds, killed some scavs, looted some buildings, got ok loot, and extracted but sadly I couldn't friend them in time
@AyooHenry same. He just voiped asking why I already left him.
I said "I thought you were a bot, honestly."
He asked "why would you call me a bot?"
And he couldn't argue with my assertion that him having the IGN "Anthony" would be 1 in a million to not be a bot. I've never seen a simple first name be avaliable as a username in my entire life.

I like that when any dev studio tries to make a game in a certain genre, it's immediately a "Clone" of the top dog in that specific genre. Make a good fps? Cod clone. Racing game? Forza/GT/NFS clone. Its like any innovation in any selected piece of media is immediately shot down for attempting to steal the flow of whoever made the best one.
Its western hegemony at its finest.
You just have to develop well the idea so that if it's even copied, you have no worries about it, because you delivered the best possible product out of it.
Yeah they copied the living shit out of BSG. Chinese be chinesing around.
@@AlexianoCiafrei 100% fortnite did the same with pubg and look how much more popular that got in the west over pubg
That's literally what humanity aways did buddy. Copy and improve.
Them “stealing code” is very unlikely as, like you said, they are two different languages on two different engines. You can’t really “convert” code, all you can do is write code that does a similar thing, and at that point you are just writing your own code.
Chances are they are looking at making bosses inspired by those in Tarkov, as they don’t have concrete names for the bosses yet, having names that the developers already know from Tarkov gives them a general understanding of what the boss should look/act like.
Most likely this random community member just typed something in a custom file, screenshotted and claimed it was in the game. If it's 1 source saying it then it's probably not even real
@@ascend2046 Nikita posted on twitter about it, mentions the name of the boss is the nickname of the prototype for the original boss in tarkov etc. Either way, a chinese company stealing information from a russian company is a match made in heaven. I'm not supporting either company on this. The problem I have with mobile games and this in general would be buying Koen and gear sets, secure containers and promoting gambling cognitive distortion in gaming society. (Tarkov editions aside it's not a pay per pull loot slot machine such as buying IG currency and "gear packs")
@ascend2046 multiple sources of people dumping and deobfuscating the code and getting the same config variables that directly mimic the same ones from tarkov (as in same exact variable names word for word). To me it seems like they might've copied some of the config stuff from a decompiled copy of the tarkov client and implemented it. Tarkov a while ago switched over to il2cpp, which basically compiles the c# scripts to c++ then compiles to the binary machine code for the actual .exe application and dlls. This was done to obfuscate more of the code from easy decompiling (but it doesn't obfuscate everything) and give a bit of a performance boost over just being on the mono framework. Essentially, you can theoretically decompile Tarkov into c++ but for some things it'll be even more unreadable than getting the c# from it. No clue what all they mightve copied, but it is plausible.
@@ascend2046it's more likely that the person looked at Tarkov code, cut off the file extension name and then claimed it was Arena Breakout

yeah this like tarkov for people with life. i say that as a tarkov veteran. learning new maps is probably the biggest struggle as a new player even with a sherpa
@@kevinh4869 good the game wasn't for you leave please
@@miiilk_ you strrugle to learn a few 100m square map ?? damn brain seems deffective
@mrphoenix5951 i don't, no. i know all of the maps in tarkov. but new players who are undergeared and may start in the middle of the wipe will probs die before they can learn the map properly. they could do offline raids but that doesn't teach you where players go questing, looting and which routes players take. learning a map is more than just remembering where things are, you also have to learn how to use the environment to your advantage and how to outplay others. drewski made a great video showing off what map knowledge can do
Nah bro, they are all excuses for people being bad.. Everyone ususally starts in the middle of a wipe.. i started in the middle and the best time with the game was that learning phase.. not knowing what to expect or where to go..
Getting killed by a guy who outplayed you with experience becomes rewarding when you start to learn what he done and you then do it on another unsuspecting player because you learned it..
This game absolutely blew me away as far as expectations go. Cant wait to see how well it does in early access!
There will be no early access as i know

They didn't steal BSG's code. Nikita is just jealous
They have a lot of similar features and similar ways to do things as Tarkov. I can only assume some of the coding would look familiar. But I agree they didn't steal code from BSG. SPTarkov doesn't even have the code.
@@ryanglacier30 Well for sure, as the optimized algorithm for certain desired functionality would basically look very similar. There is only limited amount of approaches how to do certain things.
@@ryanglacier30 its the question of. Oh no its a extraction shooter that does most things the same way oh no the code looks the same is similair. Like bro if you pick up a brick in real life you pick it up like millions of other people. Its not goddamn rocket science lmao. And on top of that they are different Code Syntaxes i did C# to Javascript conversion for a game i had to make back in school because i did not know jackshit about javascript but i am decent in C# it took way longer that way than to just write from scratch lmao and the syntax is so much more different. Let allone C++ which is a harder more robust programming language which does not do automatic garbage collection like C# tends to do unless you make really shit code lmao. So i think its just a Tarkov simp trying his best. I mean look at sony ponies doing the same to PC players litterally straw manning
I’m impressed how preciously they got all the small details from tarkov into their game.
Someone on their team must have played tarkov and thought, what can we do better?
I'm impressed that you feel so threatened and hurt that another game is becoming potentially more successful than your precious Scamkov, that you have to be a sheep and throw acquisitions out there to try and defame a project that has more potential than the platform that went P2W for $250.
@@mendicantdg7393 Did he say he was threatened? It sounds like he genuinely is impressed that they managed to achieve something so alike to tarkov in such a short time.... which is impressive. Its still not better imo, but its a strong competitor and I think with time it could be on par with the enjoyment of tarkov, and possibly better depending how they monetize it.
You can't really go on about P2W and $250 when ABI is f2p and going to be p2w as well... they already showed their hand in the beta with the rentals for secure boxes. Looks like you will be able to just pay real money for good gear and for a huge secure container.... but as a MONTHLY SUB which is insane.... Hopefully it isn't that way, but all signs point towards it especially since the mobile version is extremely pay to win....
Also they did kinda lie about it being "a from scratch PC version" since it has the mobile files in the game files. Its more like a REALLY amazing port and revamp. Nothing really wrong with that, but just interesting that they pretended it wasn't the same codebase.
@@mendicantdg7393Why so emotional?
@@mendicantdg7393 I’m not? I’m just saying it’s cool to see they were able to mimic the animations of tarkov. I’m not accusing them of stealing code just saying it looks good…
People might be missing the f2p...money will be involved how much we'll we will see. I suspect people will turn south on this game once the fees come out. @@iamplayerxYT it's literally free, you get it every week
@@iamplayerxYT I agree. Should be a quest reward item
My personal thing about the extraction shooter genre is the hyper realism. That goes away with a constant compass, the overlay on your teammates head. Yeah you may be able to customize it, but that will put you at a disadvantage as the people you play against have a compass, can easily do the three Ds and move on. The movement looks like an arcade version of tarkov. Faster and less tactical. I haven’t played, so I’m going off visual. I can’t wait to hopefully try it and enjoy what these developers have done. Grey zone doesn’t run on my PC with fluid frames on a 2070 super. Hope this does!
I get your point, but i think the compass and being able to mark the map gives more competitive to the game, especially since you can run faster since the game forces you to fight multiple players and team at the same time almost everytime you get on a match
I think the compass is the least of why, at least for me, this can never replace tarkov. Compass is sure on of them but things like name plates on top of teammates or map that shows where you are located. Why I love tarkov is that it shows nothing, gives no information and you sometimes feel very helpless and restricted. Also learning the maps without interactive map is something I love in the game and what made me fall in love with the game the first times I played it. Yes, it's very annoying sometimes, it's very overwhelming at first but that's just why these games wont replace tarkov for players who enjoys that tarkov feel and never wants qol changes like interactive map, nameplates, compasses or stuff like that.
That said, I think its good these games (grayzone, arena and l33t) were made so that there is something for everyone.
No waay im bout to be treated to a 35 seconds ago uploaded prime content
I was genuinely impressed on how optimized it was given that this is their first public test. How often do we get that these days? Hopefully they can bring the minimum spec required in the future to bring in more players.
I love the devs, this is also the case for the mobile version. They did everything well
Ah yes an Arena Breakout infinite LITE VERSION 🗿
I love that people say "this is tarkov for people that dont want to grind tarkov" like saying that having a life is a bad thing...they do know that at some point they will by dose players right?
This game is definitely gonna be more popular than tarkov, it's free.... that's huge
@@JDabz96 It's going to attract the trash from tarkov that wanted pay to win features like this one has, good riddance
Tarkov could make use of the SPEC slots, if you have a compass, it gives you a compass UI, if you have the WOODS map on you, you get the MAP in game. This is besides the QOL the weapon editor has.
im pretty sure you can open the map in game if you have it on you. its just that, why would you?
@@andy-gt2kc Oh right you can, but is useless XD
@@Vecshannot useless, you can mark stuff on the maps in EFT and drop it for your newer squad mates. EFT is closer to Arma and other hardcore shooters, this is closer to COD.
After trying out the closed beta im kinda blown away. I always knew if someone would delivery the gun mechanics of EFT in big beatiful maps with great UI and fast matchmaking it would be the best ever. Well here we are. This is definetely the end of EFT. You got all the best from the game but none of the bad. This honestly might be the best shooter ive played.
It will take market share away from EFT, but this game doing well doesn't mean that EFT will/must fail - it's not a zero sum game. People like to pick a side and attach some personal stake to it (not saying you are), but more choice is good and more competition is good for ABI and EFT players.
Why on earth noone seems to understand we need a new method of monetization - pay to unskin your game. Like if you wanna play it completely for free? Well, fuck you, you can play it but you gonna have to deal with tons of Niki Minaj with pink AKMs while if you really wanna support the game, you pay like 5$ a month and you can't see this fucking nonsense.

BRO YOU'RE GENIUS
I am pretty sure some day we'll see something like that
The Finals could've pulled that off but they went with selling clownade skins anyway
Not a bad idea lol, i hope they dont add weird skins, so far on mobile people only buy skins that actually looks good/fits the game

Arena Breakout runs on Unreal Engine 4 and Tarkov runs on Unity, they use completely different programming languages. It would be literally impossible for them to clone code between the two games, it doesn't work like that.
Are they more info that the codes are also copied? As far as I know, the only thing they found are the similar names of configuration files
Thats what I thought when I heard him say it. I'm still learning C++ since I wanna make my own game so knowing that the languages are different made me question if it was even possible or if it was would it be more work to convert it than to write it yourself. Just doesn't seem like it would make any sense.
@@frostery1483yeah nah, the screenshot tells absolutely nothing, what you see there is not code but a json-like configuration file for an entity
@@renotS_tahT-024 It'd be possible but you'd have to change it around so much that it's way easier to just do your own code.
Just seeing C# after programming in C++ usually makes you go "I somewhat know that but shouldn't it look entirely different to run?" more often than not, same goes the other way around.
The saddest part is China actually makes some banger games. I loved Call of Duty Online, Ring of Elysium, SUPER PEOPLE, now this game looks good China have lots of potential to make some incredible games, but the constant fear of the Chinese state and them overseeing your data and having access to your computer is always a concern that unfortunately will tank this game. I do hope this encourages Tarkov to step up and make a good experience and hopefully it provides a blueprint for Western developers to enter the space too.
The saddest part is you believing what the western propagate against China. Who the fuck you think you are, so important that some random game devs thousands miles away cares about your personal data let alone the fucking CCP.
Super people was Korean dude.
@@edh9746 Oh I didn't know that, thanks for telling me, I was always under the impression it was Chinese and that PUBG was Korean. Call me ignorant I guess!
Well that's the State of gaming rn unfortunately. Whereas mostly Eastern devs especially chinese we're more advanced making games, but western one is just backwards
BSG is Russian so the concern about data will probably be the same with tarkov. If data privacy is a concern then its probably better to not play any modern games at all since most of them are run by Chinese investors and collects your data anyway.
Won one of your giveaways on stream and just wanted to thank you again. Been following you on youtube for a very long time (since like 120k subs if I recall) and a Tarkov player since 2017. Arena is pretty cool! Lots of QOL things I wish Tarkov had, and they did a lot of things right. I don't think anything will ever touch Tarkov's atmosphere and tension, but everything has been very enjoyable so far, especially for a free game. Thanks again for the giveaway mang! 💪
Do you know that the mobile version also has a lending mechanic, so you basically can lend stuff to your teammates in pregame lobby like weapons, armors, ammo, heals and things that you have in your inventory.
Your teammates can use then for a match but if he dies you obviosly would lose the stuff, but if he extracts with your stuff you will get your stuff back my a mail.
And it also has deathcam, but you can check the deathcam only minutes after you get killed, and once yiu checked the deathcam, you cannot spectate your teammates.
I think the great thing that this game seems to be doing along with GZW is bringing some slightly casualized elements to an otherwise hardcore/milsim/tactical extraction experience that help make the gameplay less tedious, which to me small bits of tedium are something that can kill a game for me, especially when I can't play as often and for as long as I used to. The tension of engagements remains, the periphery systems seem like they want to be out of your way.
We'll see when the game is fully released but that's the feeling I get from the video and commentary.
TBH if Arena Breakout Infinite can give me the experience I paid $150 for, let them. Regardless of if they stole from BSG or not.
I was waiting for you to drop my boy 🔥
Structs in nutshell are pretty much meant to define certain groups of data variables to certain concepts.
For example in Golang if I want to define struct for player, we can define it like this
type player struct {
id int
handle string
//etc
}
Then we can carry that concept little bit like a datatype to make multiple declarations around it, like 12312, BigFry 32133 Ace etc etc...
I hope the mtx is like the mobile (not too predatory as a mobile game imo) each season in the mobile game they kind have story/lore you can participate as like event quest, which give you some event exclusive item or free gear, this season they even have a faction war that each boss compete with eachother, which is interesting, afaik that tarkov doesn't do
Only problem i have is there going be microtransaction for buying currency of game , bundles , battlepass , subscription for secure containers
But yet aagin game is f2p and need a way to get income
Youll be surprised how rats can absolutely demolish T-5,T-6 players with just some whacky smgs. 😂😂 Speaking from experience. (Mobile player here)
Only secure cases and battle passes are worth buying(I buy battle pass for the outfits). Others...not so much. A naked mf with an MP5 full with dumdum ammo can violate someone who uses a full t5 bundle in raid and it's not even funny
@@Itsjustmyhobby0301 yes i played ab as well

They should add a boss called Nikita the Unheard. He spawns every raid, he shouts a lot and you can one tap him to the body. He doesn't have any loot other than 250USD

The Klei devs (Don't Starve, Mark of the Ninja, Rotwood, ...) make great games (not shooters, but still) and afaik are 100% Tencent-owned. So Tencent in itself isn't necessarily an instant catastrophe. But people are allowed to and maybe actually should be critical of their ambitions and many arms reaching out so far and wide. I kinda love Klei but if someone asked me if I were happier if Tencent weren't involved with them (Klei got bought by them a bunch of years ago) I'd definitely say "yes".
Awesome video again Fry. As a bit of a heads-up I looked into the code(programming C++ and C#) I don't really see it as something valid but who knows.(My original name on UA-cam was Roasiac so then you probably remember who I am since I am pretty much in all the UA-cam streams. I got myself access to the game just like my friend with the Twitch drops and we are pretty excited to play, especially since GZW is pretty much unplayable on my RTX 2080 Super and his RTX 3080ti.
I got pretty lucky myself as I accidentally paused the stream I was watching when going for a shower and putting away my Bluetooth headset but luckily got in a few minutes before the Twitch drops closed off.

I love the fact that the compass area has a slightly darker contrast overlay so that you may be able to see the white text of the bearings even in lighter background (i.e. the sky). I am so far enjoying EA Gray Zone, but it just irks me that they didn't even manage to think of that simple thing that will improve callout times by a mile

I think GZW still is not "a game like Tarkov", and it rather makes my CPU explode than my GPU. That's with a R5 5500 and 4060TI[16], so rather mid-level and not "you call my 3090 OLD[er than 40xx]" like so many claim.
EDIT: You have to open up an excel spreadsheet to complete a task in Tarkov? I've never even heard of excel spreadsheets to assist with a quest - i thought ppl use the wiki and or / youtube for that.
1*1 container is free with rank corrency. They also give 2*2 and 2*3 containers during some events
I played this game and I can absolutely say that I will never open Tarkov again. I don't really care if it's copied or not. All the small details that always missed in Tarkov and we always asked, are served inside a closed beta. The base is absolutely the best I've seen so far. The game is free and I would pay the devs anyway. I just want the Tarkov experience that actually work.
Welcome to Kamona
I don't think arena breakout devs stole the code. If they did it would take 15 minutes to get in a match and run at 2 frames per minute.
Yeah , I think some tarkov fans trying to just false accusing arena breakout to cope
I haven't heard you talk about a game like this in a min Bigfry :)
the good thing about it being subscription-based secure containers is that we would save money in the longer term. For example tarkov and GZW you pay a flat fee and you stop playing after some time. For this game, you can just cancel it once you aren't playing anymore. Plus the longer you play the more efficient the cost would be. For the developer, it would also minimize the chance of them doing things like what Tarkov has done recently destroying their own community/vision.
Exactly right
No way arena has stolen tarkov code. Arena actualy works. No dsync, good performance, no rubberbanding
I really like the game.
Happy to see Big Fry trying more games, wich he enjoys.-
Like when hes raging. But more good games need appreciation imo.
It's good just see a game that deserves praises. All these Alpha games lately shouldn't have released.
I love how the maps are smaller to make combat more frequent
I knew this game was gonna be the best out of the bunch just by the devs tweets. So grateful to be able to play the closed beta. Only issues for me is my mic doesn’t work in game and there’s no option to change mic inputs in game and also the stutters you get every now and then. My assumption for that is the high server ping, it doesn’t seem like there are many servers right now but being a closed beta, that’s ok
Another thing that they're going to probably monetize and skins cuz they're doing that on mobile right now
Skins are not a problem and I think everyone agrees especially from a FREE game
@@joegrizzly999 no I agree with you 100%
even paying for a secure/gamma/safe case is fine imo
@J.E94 personally five bucks is not compared to what I spent on Call of Duty mobile and the mainline cod series I think I have close like 6 or 7 Grand invested
That’s not even the problem. The problem comes when they start making it possible to dump money in the game to buy Koens. That’s possible in mobile and it has absolutely ruined the game’s economy.
i get a mad stutter in this game for some reason and i can't figure out why. 4090 i9 13900k undervolted to intel's spec requirements
Same, im on a 3080 12G and every time I get in combat or even when I aim my weapon I get a insane dip and lag. Plz let me know if u find a solve for it will do the same.
Back in the beta for mobile, players used to experience massive lag spikes whenever Player Scavs (Covert Ops) starting to spawn into the map. though I am not sure if it is relevant here.
Thanks for another awesome video fry.
Thanks for the vid BF - I'm excited to give this a try - for those not able to play Tarkov at the level of 4 to 5 hour a session - this game seems very inviting to the new player. Additionally having the player friendly icons and an introductory level to familiarize yourself with the controls can only aid in learning the gameplay. Plus this will give me extra time to count my $250 not give it to the greedy and misguided. Games are meant to be played and enjoyed - faulting a game for giving us the best of ALL worlds shouldn't be a thing! Keep Keeping it Simple Big Fry!!!
who would steal some shitty 7 year old trash code?
Exactly lmao
Yea G I cant support anything Tencent
i feel like a big point of tarkov was that battle fog if you in a group fighting another group you have those times where you dont know who is who. not to mention solo v groups are gonna be 10x harder with the name tags.
We also didn't have spectate during mobile beta
Spectate will be added in s1 or s2
Secure container are in 2x2 or 2x3
Game is phenomenal. I’m going to whale on it
Too bad it's a Tencent game.
The alternative is a BSG game
@@S1L3NTSNA1L Their alternative is to play other better games.
@BouncyStickman now cry me a river
I'm no John Carmack but I do have 16 years of professional software development experience, it's what I do for work, and that screenshot going around I would not call "stealing Tarkov game code." I mean yeah it contains variable names that kinda raises some eyebrows, but to say they're "stealing Tarkov code" is something people who have no idea what they're taking about would say (not saying you did Big 🍟, you were reasonable). That's not proof of jack.
Got into the beta so I might give this one a try. Side note 9:28 I saw a well known creator on twitch banning people for disagreeng w/ him on his initial "item was ripped from an asset store" take. 😂 The edition sucked, but lmao, some people gotta just chill and just not run with every little bit of info they have or think they have.
so supposedly alot assets in the game are just yoinked right from tarkov, not that I care tarkov doesn't deserve any of their stuff anymore lol
You can’t just yoink an asset
Not like Tarkov's assets are unique, considering everything is modelled after real objects. Could be they bought/made similar assets
@@krabrangoonies1071yes, you can. It’s surprisingly simple.
This is just not how this works though lolol
slight correction upgrading to unheard edition does not increase gamma container size, its the same for EOD and the upgrade doesn't increase its size. that's all thanks :)
Man your Rainbow 6 comes out in this gameplay. You are deadly! One taps and all! Wow Tactical AF
Honestly im surprised more game developers haven't tried making a Tarkov clone earlier... BSG has kinda had a hold on this type of game. Great to see something similar...
8:56 "At the time of recording this video" was SO ON-BEAT 🔥🔥
I like they have the info an actual PMC would use before going into a know area with combatants. Having a compass and map.
They have to make $ somehow so players paying to use the secure container isn't a big deal to me if its a cheap price and it's possible that the customize tab that's not available yet would be character customization and maybe skins.
8:20 from my understanding, their are programs you can use to convert code from one to the other.
Competition breeds competence. Hopefully this will push bsg to be better
This is also why im starting to think that the devs are doing surveys and asking for player feedback from their experience in the mobile version, probably to implement those not only in the next seasons, but also in the PC version, which is such a huge W on the devs
On the mobile version, the containers (gamma container) can be bought ingame currency
W video as always. At this point I am just gonna let the Tarkov "believers" (those who saw the article will know what I mean) cope and seethe while I enjoy this new potentially awesome game!
I can honestly respect their monetization model.
They gotta make money somehow, because quite frankly a game like this is expensive.
But they’re doing it not in a extreme way, it’s just more space in your INV.
One thing i havent seen anyone mention about the code copying is AB has unique bosses with unique names on each map.
A Struct is basically just defining what variables are and how a group of them are "structured". For example if it's a true/false, integer, string or floating point. There's no actual code here. Without a single additional line of "Tarkov" code, this could just as well just be a poke at BSG.
Yes, and these look like they were stripped from a config file, not the actual executed code. We'd need access to the original source code from both Tarkov and ABI to prove direct copying, OR decompile the binaries of each game and hope that the devs shipped them as unstripped binaries where original variable/symbol names are retained (spoiler, no one does this - it makes the file sizes larger and is bad practice... Ok, maybe BSG would do it!)
When the mobile version was still in beta, many things were not added. During several seasons there were many additions, let's wait for the full release
The mobile has 2 different sized containers you can sub to. One is $2.99 for a 2x3 and then $6.99 for a 2x4
It’s funny about the situation of using Twitter as a source, because you’d think that after the “using Facebook as a source” madness during the pandemic, people would learn - I guess not leaving history repeating itself once again.
Payment for gamma container sounds like how Elder Scrolls Online works with the inventory upgrade in the subscription. Sounds reasonable to me for a free game
Serious question, since I never played Tarkov or an extraction. Is this worth waiting? is it going to be good for even the beginner extraction shooter player?
It's free to play, so you don't have to spend a penny to find out if you like it. It does seem a lot more beginner friendly in terms of its features, but it's still pretty easy to get wrecked by other players
The reason for the lack of spectator mode could be that exponentially more PC players use Discord, and it may give their team mates an advantage?
If its just struct and variable names that doesn't really prove much, a struct is literally just a data structure. If the order of certain processes and logic are super similar in too many places that could be an indicator.
C# and C++ are quite different, Unity and Unreal Engine in terms of architecture are also quite different, even copying logic across would be significant work. Either way, if it was copied, we won't be able to know by looking at a few data structures.
This is what we’ve kind of been calling “Dad Tarkov” for the casuals who don’t have the time to be sweaty and grindy. It’s so much fun!!! I’m having a blast, it does some stuff so much better than actual tarky, and it’s running amazing and smooth. Big thumbs up for me that I can just hop on after work and have that casual tarky experience for a couple of hours and it feels so good. Especially while I wait for them to work out the kinks of GZW.
One of my fav things is being able to group up with randoms and not get shot in the side of the head soon as you spawn in lol. Actually met some cool peeps playin yesterday. Oh also the in game map is literally the best friggen thing ever if tarkov added that it'd be amazing.
Super hyped, but how will they monetize this? I’ve never heard of the game/developers.
Can you ask the Dave if they ever have a plan to make a hideout or crafts? Also, I would love a mobile companion app.
The mobile version has more than just containers that you can buy, not the only issue there
Game has it's own map: Tarkov for dads
Tarkov: Open the map seperately on a browser, do it millions of times until you memorise all the quests in your 90th wipe
When beta ends and they start working on new things, mechanic, reworks etc etc is going to be a good alternative to tarkov, if someone doesnt want to play eft or dont have the money to buy it
You can get container as f2p no need to pay but you need to exchange using rank points, and mostly its 1x2. You dont need subscription either
As someone who never wanted to play Tarkov because of the price point to enter and the easily lost progression, but having a game where you have a protection in play is nice so I can just enjoy the game
I do not consider name tags above team mates heads QOL, more balance for us who play solo. In Tarkov against a squad them having to communicate and not kill each other is part of what helps me out as a solo player, in this game with no FF and name tags the solo player gets absolutely destroyed against a good squad of players every time.
but on the flip side this alows for matchmaking with randoms meaning you dont need to play solo if you dont want to
my 6 grenades would like to know that squad's location, for me going solo in AB is just fine but of course fighting a squad will need a lot of planning like me throwing a flash and grenade then just blasting them, which needs the enemy squad to be close together and that takes quite a bit of patience and luck
Hadn't really looked into this game, but as someone who played Tarkov way before its jump in popularity, I'm very interested. Tarkov was so stubborn to add any QOL features or decent performance improvements. It's about time someone did what they just refuse to do
My only problem with this game is it doesn't have a solo queue
"i gotta open a fuckin excel spread sheet " LMAOOOO!!!
My biggest ehh in this game is audio sometimes you hear stuff from very far away and it sounds like its 10 meters away
