He might just want to listen and concentrate driving the car then talking. I know when I have my girlfriend in my R it drives me crazy and not in a good way.
Great looking R! Trying to imagine what a pull with a 500HP R feels like. I have a stage 1+ Mk7 GLI and it pulls pretty well but I’m sure it’s nothing like this R. Congrats to the owner. Well done sir!
Just goes to show u these cars are for all ages! I’m an old fuck my self at 45 and I just bought a mk7 3 weeks ago. Already went stage 2 tune with DSG tune and IE intercooler and IE down pipe and still have the dealer plates on it lololol. She rips!
The EFR 7163 3+ kit is nuts. Pairs perfectly with the R as the AWD actually is able to put that power down vs the GTI. I've ridden in both a APR 3+ R and APR 3+ GTI. The difference is night & day. Even though the GTI had the PP LSD, mounts, super sticky tires and everything for best traction. It struggled even on rolls. The R always hooked and took off w/o a hitch. Kinda envious of the R guys with the 7163 kits or other BTs haha. Though I do love my IS38 GTI, which is perfect for a daily for me.
I like these reviews and this car, but you should try to go somewhere where you can actually push the car instead of just driving through normal traffic with the occasional pull. Show is what it can actually do.
Stock engine internals? Keep me posted with that. I have 400BHP GTI and I do HPDE with mine. I was thinking of going 500BHP but per APR page warning the engine internals should be built for that.
4:32 in can you let me know what you think about your Bilstein B16's. I'm considering the Bilstein B16 Suspension KIT and want to keep DCC functionality on my 2018 GTI Autobahn. Thanks for any info on this setup and how it looks and rides.
Super clean and classy APR Stage 3 R! Did he say he has Bilstein B16's to allow him to retain all the DCC functionality around 4:37 in? If so, would that be the same on the GTI? I would imagine so but appreciate any info on the suspension setup! Also, nice to see someone without all the pops and bangs for a change. No offence to the guy with IS38 nice GTI you just did a video on recently. Wish you would of got some numbers out this setup though.
@@philslouka3430Any updates? How are the Bilstein B16's working out? I'm now considering finally making the purchase and was curious. Great video but question - he makes it seem like he can choose the stiffness of the suspension (the Bilstein B16's) with the drive mode menu and I just didn't think that was possible (i.e. Bilstein requires you to install/wire their button in the cabin for the Bilstein "Ride Control" to work).
Thaks for the view. To answer your question, the B16 Damptronic kit is a plug and play that works with the VW system controls. No need for a control box. This was the reason I went with them. Otherwise any system would work with a new control unit with rewiring and/or deletes involved.
@@philslouka3430 Very cool! I did some research and it looks like you can get a version of the B6's that work with the DCC (though it doesn't have the same adjustment options as the B16 you've got).

I’m not really a professional at tuning if I’m honest this will be my first car I’ve modified. Is 60,000 too many as I don’t want to destroy the engine if it’s already run in....
tom coogan stage 3 is definitely possible. You may want to build the engine out in the long run as running stage 3 power will shorten the life of your engine indefinitely
