It really is insane how good the EA888.3 motor is to taking to mods! It’s going on what, 10 years old now, at least here in the States?! Just a few mods on this car (turbo, fueling, DP, intake, intercooler, TIP, tune), which all-in, costs less than $5k, and it’s taking on brand new $100k+ vehicles! Insane motor and even better, the price of mods are fairly reasonable considering mods on a new FL5 CTR cost Porsche level pricing!!! Like 3-5x+ more than what the mods in our MK7/7.5’s cost!
Yeah all in all, it's going down in history books as one of the greatest cars ever imo. And besides performance, it has everything else as well. Quality, comfort, daily drivability.. Anyone who has a nice example should keep it.

Because the R has more transmission/awd power loss, is heavier and his GTI has aftermarket, bigger turbo than the R anyways. FWD is better for high speed roll races than the AWD Golf R.

Jewels is stock motor, these cars can hold 500whp on hybrid and e85 pretty reliably. Not gonna last forever but its not gonna instantly pop. People are crazy enough to run stock motors up to 600 lol
The is38 is a fun setup and you can make them pretty quick on E and custom tune. Hard to resist the urge to go big turbo though lol. Ive seen as high as 126-127 trap on ihi is38 and I have personally done 118 at 6000 feet elevation.
I have a forged mk7.5 r. The limit isn’t from hp it’s from torque idk why people aren’t saying that. Before I upgraded to forged rods and new pistons, I kept the torque at 420 as I read 450 in the max. Hp around 500. Once it has new rods you can up the torque. Xl vortex is good for 600. 93 pump gas
@ not according to my car and the owner of EQT tuning it lol. 38 psi it’s good for and 650hp from the owner himself. Typhoon gets you to 700+. In at 600 to be conservative lol. New rods allow for higher torque too.
@peterb4143 That is true but it's a full on track vehicle for a specific purpose,it has to be that set up for that class...but still if engine size and numbers are the main focus then there are too many smaller displacement engine vehicles that are just as fast numbers wise...🤷 so yeah..

the c63 amg at @14:00 will always make me laugh. The power band in the ea888 beats out vtec lmao. Either 0 of these people know how to drive, or EVERYONE in the states sleeps on these cars. I have not had a single conversation where people have not slept on my car. (stock mk7 R) And I cant wait to throw a stage 1+ 93 oct tune on it. I wont need anything else to put just about everything on the streets to shame.. and everyone thinks im full of shit til we run it. Ive been thinking about a gti, but im not sure i want to give up AWD unless its RWD.. launching is way too much fun.

That's the deceiving thing, Jewels GTI does not 'sound' fast and hooks pretty jewel. Video does not seem to do it justice. My 2015 GTI PP with a stage 2 tune and DSG seems to have more wheelspin but does 11 sec 100-200s lol 🤣
@@timmie426 Well that's cause his setup is very well setup. It's also likely he has a somewhat boost ramp to help control all the wheelspin. 11 sec 100-200 is the same as my EA113 when it was Stage 1+ lol.

Calm down, stage 1 on a Golf R is still considerably slower than a lot of bone stock cars out there

With those mods a Fmic holds up fine. Do stock location if you plan to add more power long term
