It's a different vibe than when it's just Derrick and the camera. It's great to try new things and learn. This is feedback, not intended as negative criticism, but I prefer no cameraperson. It seems like Derrick is able to cut loose more without having to think about where another person is in the space. I always look forward to the rescue videos regardless. Thanks for keeping us all entertained

@@feltwashers Also agree, every single video where no one else is immediately present seems to hit that good middle ground of off-the-wall comedy, conscience explanations of whats going on when its at hand, and i guess just general flow from beginning to end, retired ol' rig to putting miles down and smiles the whole way so to speak. I feel like its worth mentioning that Its honestly kind of upsetting how every revival he has to mention the next deadline to be at place X within a number of hours. Feels like the fanbase has pushed him to the point of just cranking out revivals because thats what the majority want to see and therefore torques the cogs of youtuber-ship forward. I guess it really comes down to what Derrick envisions the future of his persona to be, but as someone who grew up during the tail end of the mass adoption of cable television and watched it slowly dilute into "reality TV" (heavy on the quotations) and commercials.... Ill just leave it at, theres a reason ive switched to watching individual creators on UA-cam for as long as i have.

Paul Shinn = absolute legend. Wife and I made a 4 day trip in a Model A last fall and it was so much fun! We did about 800 miles and did an oil change in an O'reilly parking lot in the rain. We took all the back roads, nice and easy, minimal highway driving. She planned the route and found a bunch of historical stuff, roadside attractions etc. We stayed in an old hotel where Bonnie & Clyde hung out back in the day. So much fun to unplug and do things a little slower. 10/10 would recommend.

Australia here Derek.! When you left the first shop chuggin on down the road with the banjo music playing. All you needed was a bed and an old rockin chair ontop, and it would have looked like a scene from the Beverly hillbillies..!!! This one brought back memories Derek, i'm 74 and my dad had one of these. Yes.! we had them in Australia, in fact even today there are model A clubs in various states of Australia. First thing caught my eye at the start was the original klaxon horn. Good thing you understand a lot of the doo dabbers on these old cars. Derek, I doubt you’ll see this, but I just wanted to say that I really enjoy any episodes you do involving Model As and cars of that time period. My grandpa was a big fan of your channel and was always telling me about his favorite channel on his iPad. He was an avid model A collector and member of the model A collectors club. Sadly he passed away about 3 weeks before the 1928 Model A you did back in 2022, so he never got to enjoy you working on the cars he loved the most. Seeing this 1930 brings back many memories of him, as his first car was a 1931 four door that my grandma still has.

I almost assuredly mistaken, but it looks like Bradley might be the cameraman??? I could not tell for sure. Around 3:07 we see someone in shorts and tenny rods holding the camera.
I say this because Bradley might have been running the camera during the Bland National bumper filler episode. It almost appeared that he stepped from behind the camera to help put the rear bumper on.

It's not an easy thing to pull of for most people without it sounding contrived. You do it effortlessly and it sincerely sounds like someone having a conversation with another person. Derek, what you may not know about Model A's is, that when the gearshift is in 3rd gear, you can grab the gearshift with both hands and pull straight up. You will feel it notch in a knuckle that allows the gearshift to be now swung up and away towards the passenger side, against the dashboard. This was to allow more room for the middle passenger in the front on longer drives. It was a standard feature. And yes that temp gauge on the rad cap does work, and the red mercury can be seen by the driver in the danger zone. The ones with screw caps could be turned towards the driver.

That being said: your "Will it Run" videos are hands down my favorite, but you're giving away the "Will it Run" part in the intro. Several recent videos show a quick clip of the car driving down the road within the first 15 seconds. I understand there's calamities along the way, but it's a HUGE spoiler. OK! Reminds me of my dad a finlander from the UP. Started driving at 12yrs, and said the old As that they drove, he said he 'd stop along side the road and carefully dropped the pan so as not to lose any oil, and they used pieces of and old belt for crank bearings, He's long gone now but that old thing brings a memory back good luck with it.

Out of all the channels I subscribe to, this is by my absolute favorite. I catch myself waiting for Friday's to unwind, while I watch an upload from you. You're content is so good, that I can't listen in the background, but have to glue my ass down and watch...Thanks Derek!
