I've been around rock and roll for a while ( almost 50 years ) but no one told me about these guys....they rock and rock and all of that good shit....I'm impressed....great sound and they all listen to each other, which is a rare event these days....These guys are all good players!!!!

Ever since the first time I listened to 'Hate To Say I Told You So' off Your New Favourite Band, I've been hooked on The Hives. Years later, it's great to see they're just as good, if not better, than they were 12 years ago. Here's to another 20 years, Hives. Kick some ass.

Gotta love the 'mystery man' in the background. So much of their lyrics points to his mindset if you think about them from an objective third party perspective. Also gotta wonder if 'My Time Is Coming' eludes to the fact that he may indeed be revealed sometime in the near future?!?!

To every ELO post, read this. "We made the song, and we were really happy with the song. But months later we realised that it sounded a lot like ELO’s ‘Don’t Bring Me Down’, so we contacted Jeff Lynns and basically gave him a cut off the songwriting. It wasn’t intentional though. Somehow subconsciously that ELO track was probably where it came from." from msn.juiceonline interview.
Like tom, the drum say: ELO are credited and they have approved the use of the riff.

Randy Fitzsimmons. The story is he got the band together when they were kids and writes all their music. He's also never been seen or had an interview and is believed to be Nicholas Arson.

From barely legal to lex hives, the hives keep rocking, and i keep loving it.
They totally lifted the ELO 'don't bring me down' hook and riff. They sped it up and changed the lyrics.

"Lex Hives" is loud and powerful! Probably their best work since "Veni Vedi Vicious". It seems like they want to be a progressive band and take punk rock to new heights....which is good thing. :)
