Quiche (1 casserole dish) -
8 eggs
1 cup milk (of your choice)
1 cup mayonnaise
Frozen spinach or other greens ( I use 24 oz)
2 cups grated cheese (of your choice)
1 tsp salt
Some pepper
Whisk together eggs, milk, and mayo. Add in the rest of the ingredients and bake covered at 400 degrees for 50 minutes… then uncovered for another 10 minutes.
Creamy Paprika Chicken (this is a huge batch)
6 lbs skin-on chicken thighs
Paprika
Salt
Pepper
1 stick butter
1 head garlic
Mushrooms (or peas!)
Loads of fresh spinach
2-3 cups chicken broth
3 cups heavy whipping cream
3/4 cup cream cheese
Season chicken with paprika, salt, and pepper on both sides and fry in the butter for 3 minutes per side. Remove to a baking dish. Cook the garlic and mushrooms or peas in the remaining butter. Add in chicken remaining ingredients and cook until the spinach is cooked down. Add the spinach cream mixture to the chicken and bake at 400 degrees for 25 minutes. We ate it with potatoes! (And mashed cauliflower for low carb.)

She is the only family blogger that gets her kids into the kitchen... teens cook full meals.. it’s so good for them to learn so they cooking/eating at home as adults
@@KrystelSpell I WISH my mom had taught me these helpful skills, as an adult having to cook and clean for myself was a shock! I was lazy because she always did everything for me. Different doesn’t mean inferior! Have you tried to “make” a teenager do something they don’t want to do? Her kids clearly enjoy living like little house on the prairie bestie. Take your negativity elsewhere.
It’s sometimes challenging to get kids in the kitchen...but I try to say YES as much as I can!
Thank you Sarah for giving us other mommas encouragement knowing we’re not the only mom exhausted in pregnancy, making messes with her kids and just taking one day at a time and enjoying the moments in between. Mom if 7 here...all 10 and under. I know I must remain consistent now so that they can grow up to be as awesome as your teens! 😍
I"m 58 and My son lives in Lincoln. Soooooo...Guess next time I go to Lincoln,I won"t be drinking the water! lololo
I totally agree. They are such wonderful and structured parents. kudos to them and their loving family
I just love Hope. Even as a baby, she was always smiling. She has the best sense of humor! We need more Hopes in this world😊 She even laughed at the bread machine...🤣🤣
All your children are gorgeous but there is just something about Hopes smile that I just can’t help but smile too. 💜
Hopes smile really is contagious!!! 🥰
I know right. I love Hope's smile. I hope her adult smile stays as charming
Yesss i agree❤
@@shawnasmith4268 Her name is perfect for her personality, just beautiful.
"I came home for that kiss" 😍 y'all are so sweet!
Awwww!!
That was so sweet ♥️
So romantic and true...
Seeing Sarah get flustered when Solo kissed her cheek made me smile. That was too cute.
I agree!💖
Yes it actually made me so happy!!❤️ ❤️ ❤️

Sarah put your casserole dish on a roasting pan. It makes it easier to put in and take out of the oven. It also catches overflow. 👍
Your discussion about coming home from church to a hot meal, ready to eat, reminded me of my childhood. Sunday dinners were usually special and I've always felt that it was an awesome act of love on my mom's part. That was over 50 years ago, and she's been gone over 20 years, so this video brought back sweet memories of those days.
It’s Sunday today and I’m cooking dinner (roast) been doing it for 50 years now, even after they all left home they come to dinner still. My son calls it ‘family’ day.
Often, my mom would put something in the crockpot on Sunday morning; so when we got home from church, dinner would be mostly ready.
Currently 7 am and it's my baby's 1st birthday.... Didn't think today could get better..... Then this gem popped up!!!!! Thank you Sarah, Solo and family for showing the world that wholesome fun is still alive!!!!!
Happy birthday to your baby!!! Have a GREAT day. ☺️
Thank you!!! She has a baby crush in Seth everytime she sees him in a video she smiles and flaps her arms in excitement 😂🤦♀️😂🤦♀️
Happy birthday to your little one 🥰
@@rebeccalunsford9372 thank you it has been a whirlwind of a year for sure!!
And happy birthday to you too!!! I always think the moms birthed the babes, so they should celebrate also!
🙋🏻♀️ Sarah, just wanted to share a tip to keep your oven clean. Just place a sheet pan under your baking dish, so if it does spill over you just clean the pan not the oven. Also if you line the sheet pan with aluminum foil you don’t even have to clean the pan. Hope this helps.
I'm always so proud of myself when I actually remember to do this! :) (Especially when baking pies.)
@@paulinealger7443: Yes, I finally got sick of when my lasagna and other baked pasta dishes bubbled over. I HATE cleaning burnt saucy cheese. Plus self cleaning ovens DON’T clean itself.
I second this advise, after a few tear inspiring overflows I do this even if the risk is null.
I have a sheet pan that lives on the bottom rack of the oven!
Cold Start Yogurt is a lifesaver!! I buy Fairlife milk just for it! It works because the milk has been ultra pasteurized!
Love watching the little ones help you! So cute! ♥️🤗
I seriously had a giggle with the “ if the house goes up in flames “ comment. I’ve had a few of these. And as an Aussie, a few means more than. You go girl.
Quiet time is perfect for baking so your breads don't fall. My mom used to say tiptoe, no yelling, I have a cake in the oven.
Haha love it
@@OurTribeofMany Yeah, nothing worse than having the center of your baked goods sink in.
Your kitchen is gorgeous. Love the black tiles with white cabinets and brown wood shelves. Looks amazing.
Aw I thought it was the sweetest when solo came to give you a kiss on the cheek. Sounds silly it’s the little things.
I felt the same way! I love how affectionate and loving they are towards each other. They are setting such a good example for their children.
I'm raising my granddaughter and watching you makes me say "MELANIE, GET IN THERE AND PREP"...and then the slouch angel that sits on my shoulder says "nah, do what you want, when you want" and then I just sit and watch more of your videos...
that's my story and i'm sticking to it.
xoxoxoxo blessings
Oh wow the kitchen looks gorgeous Sara I love it. I also love your meal preps 😍 I’m 45 now and I had my son at 44. He is almost 11 months and healthy 🥰
Love hearing those stories!
I am 55 and want another baby lol.
Oh my heart ❤️ Hopes laughter when she was looking at the bread baking was magic 🤩
Aww...so sweet to see the littles wanting to help their Momma cook. Never to early to teach them. After all that is a part of a parent’s responsibility. ♥️
It's wonderful when we get to see you all! I'm sure you will agree, I find Tori to be the sweetest girl. She has a very lovely way about her. I think she gets it from Mom & Dad!! Be well.
That’s good that your kids help you. I have 2 boys and 1 daughter. I did what you do. They all help me out with cooking. Now my kids are all grown up. They all know how to cook. The boys they are very good at barbecuing on the grill or even on charcoal grill outside. I’m very thankful that they were very interested in learning how to cook. Going back to work full time. I came home to a home cooked meal.
Love the new shelves! So nice to always have more counter space for prep....
Great video! Seth was adorable! I loved it when you asked Tori if she had ever been in such quiet, and she answered, “Yes, one time in Colorado!”
My 3 year old loves your videos. He helps me make almost every meal and loves seeing your kids helping. Thanks for sharing!
Tori is the sweetest little girl ever! All your kids are amazing! Luca did a great job.
Love the kitchen renovation! Makes it look SO much bigger!
Every time I watch you do this I ask myself why I don’t! I know it would help so much but here I am living it day by day 😂
Love the floating shelves!! Looks amazing ❤️
Loving the open shelving. All looks beautiful and functional.
Very functional!
The kitchen looks amazing. For me when my kitchen came together, it made me want to cook and bake more. Prepping for the week helps me tremendously. I watch my grandson during the week and he is very active. It’s just my husband and I at home, but I am 66 years old and when he is gone home, I feel like a puddle of nothing. I am so tired and it’s hard to get a meal on. So I have been trying to prep meals on those days.
Nessa is doing what we in our family call zoomies to burn off energy and you’re right, most small dogs do it lol
We call it zoomies too. Both of our small dogs do it.
My 2 shihzus do Z oomies too
Our beagle has zoomies especially after his bath
our two cats get the zoomies too! :)
My big 80lbs goldendoodle dies it too
I just made the “No Boil” yogurt yesterday and it turned out fantastic. I did not use FairLife but I used organic ultra pasteurized milk. As far as I know as long as it’s ultra pasteurized it’s fine. :)
Yep. You didn't say how thick it came out. It's recommended to run organic milk 10-12 hours, otherwise it's thin. Glad you liked it.
SAVE TIME SHREDDING CHEESE- Presto Salad Shooter - you can shred your cheese blocks with this. It saves so much time. I know it’s another appliance but it definitely made the keep list when I cleaned and purged my pantry.
Love the vlog. I use a matt I bought off Amazon in the bottom of my oven. If anything spills or flows over you just pull it out, clean it and put it back. Always love seeing the kids in the kitchen.
Cowboy and myself, I still meal prep, why someone might ask, totally makes our life more simple with less time in the kitchen and more time to have quality time 💞
I have a tip for making a large amount of burgers:
Get 2 or more large baking sheets (like cookie sheets) and lay down a sheet of parchment paper covering the surface.
Scoop balls of ground beef onto the paper until the sheet pan is filled, leaving space between each ball for it to spread.
Lay another sheet of parchment over the meat balls, making sure theyre all covered. Then lay a second baking sheet on top, and squiiiisshhh the sheet pans together. Voila!! Burger patties!!!
Can do more layers of sheet pans and meat and then do the squishing for a larger yield.
Once done you can cut the paper between each patty, stack, and freeze.
If you have more layers you can do the squishing by standing on the very top layer of sheet pan and using your body weight, which was one of my faaaavorite things to do when I was younger 😊.
My Parents had a restaurant and we used to prep large amounts of homemade burgers this way!!!
You are too hard on yourself for what you didn’t get done. Your making a human being. I think you’re amazing and your kids are terrific, so good with helping out and with each other.
“If the house goes up in flames 🔥, it just goes up in flames”. We’ll get a new one. 😂😂😂
I laughed so hard when she said that 😂😂😂
True statements from tired Moms!💗
loves the shelves!!!! so much easier than cabinets in my opinion
Hun when you have a dish like that to cook, put it on a cookie sheet covered in foil and you will have no mess to clean up. That chicken dish looks so yummy.
Still haven't meal prepped ahead but your videos inspire me to try!
I bought a egg cooker, it does 7 eggs at a run takes 15 minutes and eggs peel so perfect. Cost under $9.00 at Walmart.
I love getting the little ones involved in the kitchen.
Tori is getting tall. She's beautiful.
Hope always makes me smile just seeing her. Such lovely children. Your husband is so gem to cherish. God bless you all.
In Central America, pickled cabbage is basically salt pepper, carrots, and vinegar. It's called Curtido, and it's delicious on tacos.
Hope is so grown up .. your little girls are so beautiful & sweet❤️🇨🇦🇨🇦❤️🇨🇦
Oh my goodness😍😍!! Seth is the cutest! I didn't know he was talking so much🤗
THAT CASSEROLE LOOKS AMAZING!
Just a suggestion
When you are putting sauce like that in a casserole put some in the bottom 1st then add chicken and add the rest on top . It will mix together better while baking ,making the chicken more tender and melding the flavors together more. 😉🤗😋❤️
Plus put that casserole dish on a sheet pan or aluminum foil so any spill over lands on it and not in the bottom of your oven
Look at Zeth almost talking!🤭🤗🤗💛🤎
Seth
My goodness , look at your younger daughter being so grown up ! Where has the time gone? Great helpers mom.💕
We have a Chihuahua/Papillon. She’s little. She does the same thing! It doesn’t help that I have a 7 yr old grandson that chases her!🤦🏼♀️
I thought your prep was great! It’s very inspiring. I make my list the night before & then lay out my stuff to thaw. And I never wanna waste anything so the nxt day when I always think I don’t feel like doing it, I know I have to. So I start with something small & then I get my mojo going & when I’m done it’s SOOOO satisfying. But my naturally lazy self tries to talk myself out of it every wk!🤷🏼♀️😉😆
With the cabbage salad add diced avocados n diced tomatoes. So delicious and takes it ti the next level
In the UK we don’t have fair life milk but if I want to make the simpler method of yoghurt I use UHT milk which is ultra heat treated , I always strain mine so it’s more of a Greek yoghurt consistency ❤️
Fairlife milk is lactose free. It may be ultra heat treated because it has a far out expiration date.
Thanks for that Pauline, I was wondering what to do
That chicken dish looks amazing. I tried your feta cheese, roasted tomatoes, chicken, mushroom, and spinach dish. My family loved it!! Will definitely make it again.
My dog does the same thing ...relaxing one min then zooming around the house next min . Love your prep video.
My mom used to make a salad like that with shredded cabbage because we always had so much in the garden. It was kind of like Cole slaw but just salt and pepper and mayo and dill and a little vinegar and it was so good!
I just had my little boy in January, I am 42 and I can relate to being tired.
Rest as you can x
Yes to the cabbage salad! I do oil, lemon juice, garlic salt, and pepper! We eat that with tacos! Soo good and refreshing!
I love your content so much! I especially love when your parents are special guests- your dad’s cooking (and comments) are great! You have such a special family
Kitchen looks sharp ! I like prep and haul videos
Your doggie had the ‘zoomies’.
We call it “crazy olympics” when our dog does this
At our house they are pug farts. 😂 we read that in a dog book one time and it stuck. We had pugs at the time.
My goldendoodle does the zoomies

You’re so busy while you’re pregnant 🤰🏻 but thank God Solo was able to come home to help you take a break; what a blessing you have such a hard working and wonderful husband and children who all pitch in to help each other to get things done. Such a blessed family. Your dog Nessa was feeling so energetic😄 I love to see the pets get all energized having fun like that. I have two dogs and they do that with each other once in a while it’s too funny 😁

Fairlife milk is ultra pasteurized so it doesn’t need to go through the preheated process. This is how I make yogurt.
Gotcha!
Best milk I have drank and wonderful protein drinks
@@christinainmichigan6726 I love Fairlife chocolate milk. And I usually don’t like chocolate milk. It’s so creamy and good.
Thats how I make my yogurt, so easy
Any ultra filter milk will work(ie Walmart brand organic milk, your saved yogurt, vanilla , add sweetener such as maple syrup, honey , etc) fairlife is overrated ( read label)
I make curried egg salad. You have the stuff to do it for sure. It's good it a lettuce wrap or a tortilla or on toast. Makes a great lunch!
Oh, you are back. Good to see your safe return.
The kitchen is fabulous. Looove it. You deserved it Sarah, such a hard working Mom.
Try poppy seed dressing on the shredded cabbage. Tons of recipes on line and you can sub any sweetener you like. Kids like it because it's sweeter and it holds up at a picnic too. I had a friend who looked forward to it all year as I always brought it to our annual event.
I had made this Quiche recipe years ago but lost the recipe, it was the best Thank You!
We only use Fairlife milk bc my 9yr old has Type 1 Diabetes and Fairlife is much lower in carbs. She loves milk. I've never made yogurt, but I really want to. I would love to see a video using Fairlife to make yogurt.
Go to Six Sister's Stuff on UA-cam. They have the easiest recipe for yogurt that uses fairlife milk
@@leslieheap7561 Thank you.
2 of my kids and I cannot have milk with lactose. To us, lacose free milk is too sweet. Fairlife is not so sweet. You have to be careful with the 2% chocolate milk though. It has artificial sweeteners in it.
My mom , years ago, remarried after my dad died at age 42. She got a surprised...pregnant. She did well, no issues at all. I loved it!❤️
Made a big batch of curried sausages with peas, corn, apples and sultanas. Enough for tonight and tomorrow nights dinners. Thank goodness that curry is one of my family's favourites and curry, like stew always tastes better reheated. Win Win in my books. Seth talking is so cute.
You can use any lactose free milk for your yogurt not just fair life brand. It just has to say ultra pasteurized.
You've definitely encouraged me in my meal prepping, and it's had a huge impact on our homeschooling weeks. Thank you!
Always look forward to seeing what ur stirring up lol
The cabbage you talked about is how we make vinegrette based coleslaw. I everything besides the cabbage over medium heat until it boils and then pour it over the cabbage and leave it in the fridge.
You are so inspiring. You are naturally uplifting. Watching your videos got me through the early weeks with a newborn. Your positive joyful personality is contagious. Thanks for your example! God bless!
Love the kitchen shelves, enjoy your day ❤️
Easy 'crust" to make. Butter the dish, bottom and sides. Sprinkle in flour and cover buttered dish. Throw out excess flour. Put grated cheese on bottom en push a bit on sides. Then continue with your recipe.
ADORE your kitchen shelves!
Maybe some type of baby gate would help. The older kids and adults can just step over it. But it will contain little kids and the dog.
Your bread maker should have a dough setting... that’s how we make pizza dough
Put a cookie sheet under your casserole dish in the oven to catch the overflow. That way you don't have a mess in your oven.
I was saying it gonna overflow!!! Lol, my mama always made big meals for our large family and she had a medium sized roasting pan with a lid. Some folks call it a turkey cooker. Well she loved it more than any pan she ever had and the reason was nothing overflowed and she didn't have to scrub the oven but twice a year, lol. Blessings y'all!!
I love watching you guys.
The kids cooking is so cool.
Such a loving family
Loved seeing Solo giving a kiss on the cheek
Sarah, take care of yourself.
Love from Michigan ♥️
Being pregnant at 50 is nuts. In my fifties I felt wonderful energetic and ready to take in the world. At sixty same thing now I’m 73 and life is not so good full of pain and losing ground really quickly. I can’t think how fair it would be for my child to have to live with this. My older kids who are now in their fifties have trouble understanding and that’s ok but a teenager ......
I live with my patents . We help each other And I am in my 50. Never had kids
My daughter (a teen) live with her mother and father/40s, grandmother, 70s and great grandmother, 99. I guess I should add her brother in there as well. Guess what life at all stages can have challenges. We are blessed to be together.
Sarah is 42.
Yes!! Thank you! Don’t know why but I need food prep videos!😂🙌🏻
Oh good! 😜
The paprika chicken looks really good! Tori, in my house we call that busy day hairstyle the "get stuff done bun".
My 2 boys are 11 months apart. One month every year they are the same age for 30 days. So I was pregnant in my 20th year and then my 21 year. I was so tired but the 22 year of my life flew by. You have my respect. God bless you all.
My brother and I are 11 months apart as well. We are the oldest of 6 kiddos. It's funny to see people's faces when we say we aren't twins but we are the same age for a month. 🤣

What a beautiful way of speaking Tory has Sarah!! I could listen to her all day 😁 all the kids do actually!
Love it!
Hey Sarah! You could also try with your kids shredded cabbage, shredded kale and grated carrot with lime juice, mayonnaise and salt and pepper. It's my favourite salad. The kids should like it as it's nice and creamy
Have you tried beet pickled hard boiled eggs? We just buy a large container of picked beets and drop some peeled hard boiled eggs in it for a couple of weeks. They last forever, taste delicious, and are very pretty to boot.
Not literally forever. Just to be clear 😸
My grandmother always had beet pickled eggs!!! They were more fun to eat when pink!
I’m trying your paprika chicken this evening, it has mushrooms, bell peppers and watercress in because that is what I had to hand. I also added a little squeeze of lemon juice, the sauce tasted delicious before I popped it in the oven so I’m sure this will be a winner, thank you!
Fairlife milk is ultra pasteurized. When you do the boil method, which is what you are doing, you are boiling the milk to ultra pasteurized. ☺️ Then allowing it to cool down so when you add your starter (the yogurt) it doesn’t die from extreme heat.
What I do is buy the fairlife, yogurt, and nestle sweet cream (only creamer I use for sweetener), start it in the morning, set it for 9 hours, then put it on the fridge overnight to firm and cool. Yogurt ready for the next day that my kids devour.
Hope you get your energy back soon. ♥️
I always have oven liners in oven. But i put it on a cookie sheet or sometimes i put a tray on the rack under the pan too.
Hi, just a little hint, put your glass dish on a coookie sheet, No oven clean up. Have a Great Day.😀
Healthier would be u buy areal cabbage as opposed to old cabbage that put through all kinds of processes and chemical. I have a machine that will shred a whole head of cabbage under ten minutes and that includes clean up afterward.
What is the machine called?
Sarah, living on the edge, adding frozen peas to her chicken dish! Oh my.
"Don't all small dogs do that?" all dogs do that. We call it a crazy run. We have some evergreens in the middle of our yard. Our golden doodle goes around and around it at a very high speed. I have learned to stand still and wait for him to finish so I don't get plowed down - it almost seems like their brains turn off and instinct kicks in.
We make our own pizza all the time, but found it's even easier, if when I make the dough, I spread it out on the pans and partially bake the crusts for about half the suggested time (I look to see the bottom is just slightly browned.) I then let them cool, and freeze the crusts. It makes pizza night that much easier because all we have to do is thaw the crusts, top them and in the oven they go for about 6-8 minutes until the cheese is melted.
Here in Georgia we put cabbage mayonnaise sweet pickles salt and pepper and it's really good
