@@forgot2wipe Cold air intake manufacturers typically dyno test their products with the hood open, thus sucking in cold air from outside the engine bay rather than warm air from inside the engine bay. This is not an issue if you are on the highway, but for a lot of guys sitting in traffic, running light to light, or sitting in the staging lanes at the track, their IAT’s go through the roof, and your cold air intake quickly turns into a hot air intake. Hey Gr8white- thanks for watching. There isn't a 'factory' transbrake- its something that requires a specific tune and unfortunately Lund isn't a fan of this feature so therefore they do not offer it at this time. -Justin
I seen one run 11.3 with a intake and e85 tuned by alternative auto in Michigan oh and he was on stock suspension literally just e85 intake and drag pack full weight. At 900 DA
Sonic Six he also has lightweight Baer brakes, federally illegal catless headers and sits at the light for like 5 seconds to get the perfect launch (I’m not hating though chasing times is okay) 11.3 is right on the money for the mods and is already faster than a stock ZL1 and Hellcat

Justin I think a blower is in order brother, great build loving it, keep it coming. I'd be interested in seeing the new VMP Odin to see how it does on 93.
I have the long tubes I have the JLT intake. The 91 tune from American muscle and I’m only making 385hp. So I am 100% calling major bullshit on the ability of these parts.
Don't know what to tell ya man lol- the big 28"s in the back do a great job of filling out the wheel well. Plus you have to keep in mind, a minimal drop with these S550's goes a long way, especially when compared to previous gens. -Justin
Looking into getting into a Lund flex tune. Is a intake worth it being that I’ve heard the factory 18 intake is already really good? Don’t plan on doing much more mods than the tune.
The factory intake is VERY good on these cars. I would start with the flex tune for now as that will be far more noticeable at the end of the day. -Justin
Toss the JLT (because aftermarket CAI's have proven to not add more than a few hp). Steeda made a bold claim 2 yrs ago of 37hp increase with their CAI yet when they ran the car same day just 15 minutes later, it only droppped 1 tenth. Yes from a 11.44 sec to 11.32 sec 1/4 and added 1/2 a mph in the traps. Just drop a K&N drop in in it.
We did set the Vikings in the rear for exactly that- however the issue isn't suspension its getting more RPM to get the car off the line faster. That's the big limiting factor as of now. Thanks for watching! -Justin
I thought the stock GT had 460hp ? Did I miss something. Love the build, as I’m switching from mopar. Really loving the coyote motor and it’s potential.
It's rated 460 at the crank. You lose about 15-20% through the transmission which gives you the 389 at the wheels in stock form. And each dyno reads slightly high/low depending on calibration/manufacturer.
Thanks Octane- and I typically pull this out on nicer days here in the north east. I have a truck that I daily most of the time. Thanks for watching! -Justin
I've pretty much done all I want to with that car, drag racing wise. I'm kind of over that and am trying to make it more of a corner carver at the moment. Thanks for watching Cali! -Justin
I dont know why but I feel a solid one piece drive shaft is important to any build regardless of boost or not or even a v6 or 4 Eco. I think this is because when I got my 2012 v6, I seen a video on how the drive shaft broke. It always stuck with me.
I am a notch confused; 500 na made with JLT cold air, Corsa Headers, E95, and tune...... this build same bolt ones (for power gains, infact, bigger exhaust), E85, tune, 467 HP...?
Different Cars, Different Days but the biggest factor is the Corsa LT's were catless where as the SW Long tubes on this car has cats and you're comparing the auto to a manual- which will typically yield power discrepancies due to more/less drivetrain loss depending on the trans. Hope this helps clear things up! -Justin
Honestly, these things work remarkably well suspension wise with the stock components- outside of maybe a set of springs or vertical links. If you have access to E85 I would say a Flex tune would be the way to roll. -Justin

I have some cat deletes here at my desk that I'll probably end up switching over to eventually. I was trying to keep some of the rasp down but at this point screw it haha. -Justin
Awesome pairing up with lund racing FTW hopefully you add a cobra jet intake manifold and keep it N/A for those easy 10s
Why no VMP twin 69 throttle body with a ported Cobra Jet mani?
I’m curious why you didn’t use the factory trans brake? I think that is the only thing Stangmode did differently. You have waaaay better axles so it shouldn’t be an issue. Stangmode did explain how to use this feature.
At 900 DA
My question is, what is stangmode doing to run high 10’s you have about the same setup
Sonic Six weight reduction, much better air and a transbrake. -Justin
And stall....
@@bluecollardaily2676 He ran a 10 before the Stall. He ran another one with the Stall but did crack it before the Stall. Transbrake tune was the big difference maker for him. He also runs at Atco which is known to be a good DA track.
@@holcombgl right he was hella negative DA...and eeked 1 pass that wasnt backed up before the stall after 6 11s...before it...it all had to be perfect and yes the tbrake was a huge part of it if....but I'd take the stall any day over the tbrake....
What gears are you running and do you have aftermarket converter?
I'm digging your build and look forward to its future. I'm hoping a TVS2650 is in its future, heck maybe go all out and give us a Whipple gen 5 vs TVS2650 comparison to become a Legend.
Haha, thanks Dan. You're not too far off. -Justin
Nice run for a basic bolt ons cars going good.
About the same on my end with my 18gt
Best I ran was a 11.1 down here in Florida
Only difference I have vmp tune with steeda closed air box. But otherwise same bolt on as you guys...
Awesome man! Nice work- Justin and the VMP staff are top notch. -Justin
Stangmode ran 10.9 full bolt on 18 gt 10sp
Mike Bjork He had a little more then just bolt on. He had weight reduction also. And race fuel not e85
So what was the difference with the red car? Why did it make so much more power?
Was the dyno run with cats on or was the car catless
Damn its about damn time
Hi Justin,
Try the palm beach tune.
So what’s the difference between this car and the other one that put down over 500hp on the dyno ???
You should give prices. Also leaving the cats in would hurt you how much in hp?
Great runs Jason, with those mods it looks like its right where it supposed to be. Have you thought about a CobraJet intake manifold?
Thanks Sergey- we have kicked the idea around but at this point were debating on give the N/A attempt another go or just diving into forced induction. -Justin
@@americanmuscle sounds good, I'll be there for that video. Good luck.
I am near maple grove and am currently buying a 19 gt would like to buy performance parts from you guys but would like to know if you can recommend any local shops for installs due to me not being comfortable doing it myself
Next time you run it can you use the in car 0-60 timer and let us know the times?
Justin I think a blower is in order brother, great build loving it, keep it coming. I'd be interested in seeing the new VMP Odin to see how it does on 93.
We shall see! -Justin
Love it. Especially the honesty.
Did you use drag mode or normal mode
Hey, did you get a CEL with that exhaust?
No. -Justin
I have the long tubes I have the JLT intake. The 91 tune from American muscle and I’m only making 385hp. So I am 100% calling major bullshit on the ability of these parts.
Justin why is it that your mustang looks slammed when the bmr springs don’t even offer that much of a drop?
The 26" tall tire up front with the rtr front chin makes it looked dumped. -Justin
AmericanMuscle.com but in the rear it also looks flushed
Don't know what to tell ya man lol- the big 28"s in the back do a great job of filling out the wheel well. Plus you have to keep in mind, a minimal drop with these S550's goes a long way, especially when compared to previous gens. -Justin
Is E-85 really helpful in hot climates? It seems like it would boil faster than regular gas.
Absolutely it is helpful- way more so than regular gas. Part of its appeal is the ability to cool the cylinder and resist detonation. -Justin
I would say to add a trans brake and a 2 step and I am pretty sure you'll drop that ET down a bit without having to add a bunch more power
So ADDING an aftermarket intake dropped the time over a tenth and added MPH- and you're saying its NOT working? Hmmm... -Justin
So suspension really didnt help just changing the tune made the difference?
Wheres stage 3 video with the cobra jet and trans brake tune?
Justin how about changing the intake manifold to GT350 and ported heads? That should be enough.
Honestly the 18 manifold is really hard to beat. -Justin
Take of the engine cover at the track helps with the heat .. converter time !!!!
is 20 horses worth starting issues in the winter???
Is there any way you can make the suspension soft so it squats and puts more weight on the rear for a launch for a better time?
We did set the Vikings in the rear for exactly that- however the issue isn't suspension its getting more RPM to get the car off the line faster. That's the big limiting factor as of now. Thanks for watching! -Justin
This guy is the real Brian O’Connor....I’m jealous lol. Wish I had a mustang!
Snick bro what. Don’t ever say that. 😂
Dominic Augello im smh so harf
Doesnt Lund do a transbrake tune..?
What is the best tuner for an EcoBoost 2017 mustang? And how much would it go for roughly
11.33? Very very nice! Definitely can't wait to see you boost it later on if you plan to. Great job guys, also Justin, do you daily your '19?
Thanks Octane- and I typically pull this out on nicer days here in the north east. I have a truck that I daily most of the time. Thanks for watching! -Justin
Reminds me of building a mustang for road course racing. Spend all that money and all that work to pick up a couple tenths.
Haha, aint that the truth... Picking up tenths Naturally Aspirated gets expensive. -Justin
Any plans in building up your 2014 GT in the future?
I've pretty much done all I want to with that car, drag racing wise. I'm kind of over that and am trying to make it more of a corner carver at the moment. Thanks for watching Cali! -Justin
Justin, Where can I get that Tremec/ Ford Performance hat?
We got them from some of our media drives of the new GT350 and GT500. -Justin
I dont know why but I feel a solid one piece drive shaft is important to any build regardless of boost or not or even a v6 or 4 Eco. I think this is because when I got my 2012 v6, I seen a video on how the drive shaft broke. It always stuck with me.
Can y’all list the links to all of these parts like y’all did in a previous video?
Dang
I am a notch confused; 500 na made with JLT cold air, Corsa Headers, E95, and tune...... this build same bolt ones (for power gains, infact, bigger exhaust), E85, tune, 467 HP...?
Different Cars, Different Days but the biggest factor is the Corsa LT's were catless where as the SW Long tubes on this car has cats and you're comparing the auto to a manual- which will typically yield power discrepancies due to more/less drivetrain loss depending on the trans. Hope this helps clear things up! -Justin
@@americanmuscle All fair - cheers for the response! Good luck with the build! Just picked up my 2020 PP2 :)
You guys using a mustang dyno? Numbers seem kinda low. Dynojet #'s are close to 500 if not at 500whp with this type of set up.
Nope- Dynjot 228xlc- power seems to be right on par for an auto car with cats. -Justin
What about a stall converter? What rpm would be perfect? 3500-4000?
That would certainly help! -Justin
Any updates on this one? Love the direction.
👀
Bout time for a part 3
2" primaries? Holy s***! How boost do you plan on throwing at her?? Whipple 3.0?
Yeah, they may be a little big but its what SW sent us. And we'll have to see! ;) -Justin
I'm not sure to start with suspension upgrades or tune first for my 2019. I want both but if I can keep the warranty longer would be good I guess.
Honestly, these things work remarkably well suspension wise with the stock components- outside of maybe a set of springs or vertical links. If you have access to E85 I would say a Flex tune would be the way to roll. -Justin
AmericanMuscle.com vertical links the best 1st addition to the suspension before any of the other wheel hop mods?
