I plan on getting a GT next year, only reason over a camaro gt or scat pack charger is it can take 87 octane. I'd choose it over either and its a lot lighter than the scat pack. Plus it has more space than a camaro. Realistically, too, camaros and scat packs deliver torque instantly. While its fun, i want to daily the car and in the winter it's a higher risk car. I just plan getting a strut brace, a sway bar setup, intake, and h pipe exhaust to tighten the car up and bring the low end torque just a little and have a deeper tone to it.

How to go 10's or lower NA: Weight reduction. Remove back seat, passenger seat, all carpet, hood liner, trunk liner, remove mufflers, A/C compressor, stereo, etc Intake manifold swap: Cobra Jet or Ported 2018+ manifold (18 manifold makes more torque than CJ) CLOSED AIRBOX COLD AIR INTAKE. Why? Because open air CAI's tend to suffer from heat soak Longtube headers (either high flow cats or no cats) Drag wheels: wide tires in back, skinnies up front Cams will also help, but not required E85 Tune from reputable tuner like VMP or Lund Personally I run low 12's at full weight. If I do all this, I'll be running 10's easily on my Gen 2 Coyote

@@juanito3.5 do NOT use an open filter intake unless you want to race with the hood off. I tried a PMAS CAI and intake air temps got so high the computer pulled timing and the car got slower than stock.
Depends on the type of racing you do. If you roll race then it makes sense even more so than drag racing due to the linear low tq making coyote, therefore fords like let’s make this shine and what it does best based on design. Now that’s not to say you can’t get it out of the hole with mods but most people roll race today due to the fact it’s safer from getting caught as it’s not stationary and it’s safer for you as spinning is harder while in motion. and lastly your wallet isn’t bleeding because fords axles, drive shaft, dif explode, or worst of all eat 10r80 gears in the trans.
You have to consider transmission gear as well... My 2020 GT500 has a 3.73 rear gear but the gears are still long due to gearing. I do feel the 3.09 gear suits the Hellcat better than the 2.62 however. Mustang GT A10 does better with the 3.15's that the 3.55's for roll racing.

Awesome video, Bro! BTW, I've been one of your 21% for years now. I'm glad you bought up the wheels. A lot of people overlook a good wheel/tire combo. All the horsepower and torque in the world won't matter if you're spinning out and can't grip. My tires aren't stock, and they grip like Spider-Man right off the line. I have about 500 hp, but I have a Manual, so I'll never pull down the numbers off the line that an Automatic does, but I'm OK with that. Every car I ever owned has been a Manual. Manuals rock!
I would also take care of the suspension. Late model GT's suffer from wheel hop, so I'd also add the anti wheel hop kit from Steeda or BMR and I'd put in aftermarket sway bars, vertical links and tow bars to stiffen up the rear cradle. Might want to do a diff bushing kit too.
I recommend just keeping your stock headers.. It's not worth the 20 extra HP.. Do an exhaust, Bigger throttle and Ported Intake along with E85/Tune and you'll get an extra 100 wheel easy without all the Kooks Headers and stuff..
What are your thoughts on adding the Ford Performance intake manifold and the twin 65mm throttle body with the Ford Performance CAI along with a set of ceramic coated long tubes?
When it comes to lighter body panels, don't forget about fiberglass. While it might not be quite as light as or as durable as carbon fiber, its a lot cheaper.

Most of what your saying is true however regarding torque production, ehhh for one you mentioned rear end and its axels well with more torque will require more grip and isn't really easy to launch a car with lots of torque and that little 302 is a topend killer probably stall upgrade/stock gears or factory stall with 355 gears but regardless ford really delivers with that coyote, as im a chevy man but even the challenger and scat pack is something serious just akward whenever seeing a sports car mustang/camaro wanting to race a 4dr sedan like charger rather than a challeger but charger holds its own, also good looking car .

Why not just start with a 6 Speed manual over an auto? Low stall to high stall converter swaps with the auto, and rear gear swaps is a lot of work, not too mention if the axles also need to be replaced with stronger ones, your basically rebuilding the entire drivetrain if you go with an auto in order to just get a clean launch. Eh....
Unless it's a track car, gotta pass on E85, heard too many horror stories about bad 'gas' causing massive problems. I'd want pump gas for a daily driver.

Glad to help buddy
Its all about gearing racer x the higher the rear end gearing you have the more get up a go a 4.56 gear and you should be good to go. Im running 3.92 gears on a 14 challenger rt it will pin you in your seat
A lot depends on your power level and predictive shift as well! Many of the big power hellcats went back to a 2.62 after going 3.09 because of how quickly it comes up on the shift .. several variables
@@RacerX9 when street racing i i always row the gears at 5200 to 5300 rpm it makes a big difference
