I am no where close to as good as you at Judo. But One technique I found that can work is you don't quite get the pick up, immediately drop straight down much like you do with the knee and end up in a kesa-gatame, it can work well if you drop quick enough. Thanks as always Nick

I like hitting the headlock with an overhook on the arm. Feel i have a little more control and most don't feel to threatened cause they have the underhook. That being said, one of the best I've ever done was the first way you showed.

You can also use the undertook and go o-goshi. Same throw pretty much, just using the other option you have available to you

Great video! Coach, which is better for sweeps/trips/throws/reaps in no gi between judo and freestyle wrestling? Should i do judo or freestyle wrestling?

Great technique, but it actually does have a name! It’s called a pinch headlock in Greco

Coach, wrestlers complain that this move is not efficient since, you’re risking getting your back taken too much. Is this a good throw or nah for wrestling?

The video specifically addresses how to throw without getting your back taken. The first way can be risky if not tight. The 2nd is much tighter and less risky and the last is the least risky if done right

I wrestled and hit this headlock quite a bit. It can't be forced cause everyone is aware of it. That's why it may be hard to pull off but the setup to everything is the main part of every technique. I like pushing into them really hard and being aggressive cause I know they're gonna try pushing back and that's when I'd go. Make them off balance themselves.

Spear elbows are pointless, lose them. All other elbows are okay, but spear elbows are garbage.

Rodtang just messed Superlek up pretty bad with them, it’s pretty common in Muay Thai
