      @@aldwin4514 not that I'm aware of. But for a while this cpu was running hotter than normal. That was (i think) fixed.

    Great video man. So i have a i3 7100, if i get a GTX 1660 Super, can i play apex, resident evil 3 remake, call of dutty warzone? Something like that?

      No reason why you shouldn't be able to play those games. Tho I would recommend putting them on high settings instead of ultra.

      Very much so. a 1660 Super is on par with a GTX 1070.

      @Sky BrX Performance wise the I5 9600K and the I5 9400 are pretty much the same. the only difference with the K version is that it's overclockable. just putting that out there.

    I was wondering if i would need to upgrade my Intel i3 since I am planning to replace my broken 1050 ti to 1660 super and your video made me save my money especially I won't be going to max the settings to ultra so i will be fine.

    hey bro nice vid, i have a question, this is good for stream? if i stream with nvenc with the 1660 super is good? because i want to upgrade my 1050ti to a 1660 super to stream and then the cpu to a ryzen, but first the gpu bro:(

      What CPU are you currently using now?? But if you want to use NVENC with this GPU you shouldn't have any problems. After all this thing is about the same as a 1070 power wise.

      @@coloring7427 Believe it or not i actually once used this CPU along with a GTX 760 as a streaming rig.

      @@coloring7427 Once you get the GTX 1660 Super you can upgrade your CPU to a I5 9400. If you go Ryzen you'll end up spending more money in the long run because you gotta get a new chip and a new board. If you get a I5 9400 you can just simply spend around $170

    What psu are you using here? I have all the same except for the graphics card, I have a seasonic 360w series gold will that be enough? I'll mostly be playing on 1080p low to medium settings

    I have the same setup more or less except I'm using an i3 7100. How much performance difference should I expect from what's shown here? I'll be upgrading my CPU by next year but till then I hope I can play most games at medium settings and at least 40-60fps.

      Yes. You'll be able to use that setup with an elgato.

    Why did you test RDR2 with low graphics?

      Because this game is so poorly optimized that even with a 2080 super I can' get 60 frames at 1080p. With a card like a 1660 super you'd be lucky to get 60 frames even at medium settings.

      Considering the gpu is maily running at around 98% and the cpu is being fully used I would assume that the bottleneck is in the CPU and even then it's not very large. Pretty small actually.

    Or only a 1660 super and keep my i3 8100
    Currently: i3 8100 & 1050 ti Cerberus, 16 gb ram on dual channel

    yo, good video man, i have a problem with the cpu and gpu i got an 1660 and i3 8100 but my cpu goes 100% and the 1660 goes like an 40%/50% and i don’t know what can i do, i don’t know if are the drivers or what.

      The best way to solve this is to upgrade to an I7 9700K. Right now they're dirt cheap. You can buy this CPU off amazon for $270. If that's too much an I5 9400 can be purchased for $160. The reason why your cpu usage is so high because going forward 8 cores 16 threads is the minimum on what you should have if you plan to partake in AAA gaming. Now if all you wanna play are esports titles like CS:GO, Hyper Scape, Valorant, R6 Siege, Overwatch, ect, ect 6 cores cpus will get you by. (cpus like a i5 9400, 9600k, and the ryzen 2600, 3600 ect, ect) 4 cores 4 threads don't quite cut the mustard in 2020 and 2021.

      sure if you want to use it as a streaming PC for a console maybe with an elgato. But in today's market you're gonna need something with a bit more power.

      Sure. as you saw in the video at ultra settings you'll get something between 80-90 frames per second playing cod and fortnite. I'm testing these games at ultra settings. If you turn it down to medium you'll get much better performance.

      If you can find a 1660 in this day and age at a reasonable price go for it. But in order to get better frame times i would suggest at least upgrading to an I5 9400 first,.

      @@NikolaiMollov update the bios. If you use the newest bios Z370 boards will use 9th gen intel chips.

      @@Danny72119 just to be on the safe side you should upgrade your psu to something a bit stronger. I've been using the same 600 watt PSU for over a decade. A good one will last you a long time.

      I would go for the 1660 super because it's still under warranty and is a lot easier to find.
      But as far as bottlenecking goes that's up to you. That's something I don't pay attention to. Ask yourself this. Do you play games or do you play benchmarks??

      @@arima7063 BF1 is still played. I thought everybody moved on to 5. But for BF and Cod you may wanna drop the settings down to medium. You'll be alright with league, valorant cs:go and apex.

    Hi this is my current setup and I really want to upgrade the GPU into a GTX 1660 super, will this work properly on this? Any suggestion would be appreciated.

      How much you planning on spending on a 1660 super? Because in this current market good luck getting a 1660 super for less than $400. But dependingt on what your budget is it might be cheaper for you in this current market to get a prebuild than just a few individual parts.

      @@UsaM If you wanna play modern, AAA games you're going to have to change that whole rig. At best an I7 7700K is about the same performance as an I3 10100. I dunno how married you are to PC gaming but depending on your budget an xbox one x or ps4 pro (or series X/S or PS5 if you can get your hands on one) might be more economical.

      I wouldn't worry too much about bottle necks. Because once you upgrade one component something else will be holding you back. chasing bottle necks is like playing wack a mole until you got some $4000 I9 system with a RTX 2080 super or something like that. If you wanna grab a 1660 super go ahead. You'll be just fine.
