Look at the shield he picked up when confronting Ramsey...Little Lady Lyanna's sigil, the bear of "House Mormont" which means one of her bad ass 62 soldiers made it to Winterfell along side of Jon Snow! 🐺🐻
jstack011 sadly he wasn’t still wielding the shield
i recomend watching the symbolism of house mormont of the channel screemprism, it has a video for every major house
Steam.Wolf love that series.. RTTV should react to the history and lore videos while waiting for season 8
@@jstack011 Well, one of Jon's soldiers could just lose their ones and pick "Mormont" one during the battle and made it to Winterfell. :)
Never knew how much I needed this information
You know, when you think about it Sansa's and Ramsay's divorce really wasn't that unusual. She got the House and he got the Dogs
OH MY GOD
🤯🤯🤯
😂😂😂
Bruh 😂😂😂
Dude, i didn't get any dog!
saddest thing on this episode, the death of the last giant. A full race dissapeared
He wasn't the last
@@gamer14338 In the show it was.
@LimeWire2000 In the show its basically assumed that anything beyond the wall has been turned at this point.
Miquel Canosa Santeularia he held it down tho ✊🏽
@@eternalwaking24 The thing is, you don't think with all of the wars going on, there is little to protect the North from the Wildings and the rest of the creatures coming south of the wall to escape? Not to mention that the Golden Company has elephants, so I am going to assume the giants along with mammoths will be there to help Jon defeat them.
The scene where Jon is standing with the horses baring down on him, (aka the Hero moment) there was minimal cgi. Kit Harrington actually stood there with dozens of horses charging towards him. The only cgi was to increase the number of horses, but it was still a lot. I would've needed a sizable bonus cheque to do that scene.
MavenCree lmao same
I guess they also used some camera techniques to give the impression that the cavalry was closer to him than they actually were on set.
Pretty damn good anyway.
Seriano Bueno Junior - this isn't correct. If you watch the commentary from the DVD (w/Kit, Sophie, and the director), they say the horse charge was legit and they stopped just a few feet in front of Kit as he stood strong.
ua-cam.com/video/pVCTFAJFbik/v-deo.html
As he stood there sword in hand prepared for his death and he had the Stark Armor on he looked like Ned Stark 😰😱🐺 ❤️🐺❤️🐺
Did y'all also notice the Bear Island shield Jon was using against Ramsay?? That means out of the whole 62 men Lyanna Mormont supplied to Jon, at least one of them had made it through all the way into the castle. Those guys did fight with the strength of ten!
That's such an awesome detail!
I think Jeor would be super proud of Jon.
@@0okamino He saw it in Jon from the very beginning.
That is an awesome detail he must’ve been a fucking badass
*sansa's smile* as she walked away.....Epic.
you all look so precious cheering for sansa at the end of the episode. we all felt her victory at that moment.
The subtle smile sansad gave at the end give me chills everytime I watch it, character development was gold upto this season.
FINALLY, a man who gave Sansa some respect, thank you Mr. Rob! I know many viewers were pissed at her for NOT telling Jon about Littlefinger but I have to say, I understand why she didn’t! Up to this point, she couldn’t trust anyone and few would listen to her, typical of her time, man not listening to women. She’s been forced to grow up quick and to learn the game of thrones!
Robert Siegfried, Mr. Robert first, Merry Christmas and wishing you the BESTEST of the New Year! Second, typical Male response!
Robert Siegfried she was right not to trust Jons dumbass you must’ve missed when he got his whole army trapped. She didn’t trust that he wouldn’t get baited and she was right. Typical male shit to ignore the logic in favor of cool action scenes.
lol Are you kidding, Rob is that way with every female characters on the show, we keep cracking up about it in the talkbacks. The guy wants some pussy and that's it. As far as Sansa, I like her but she gets no merits, Baelish planned to ride to Winterfell a long time ago. He wanted to do that with Stannis.
Robert Siegfried sounds like a woman-hating incel.
@the baron lmao automatic dismissal of your entire argument about sexism when you said "you bitch" at the end. Fucking stupid ass men i swear. "wErE nOt SeXiSt" then proceeds to end the argument by calling her a bitch. Youre the one who is dumb as fuck.
Sansa's smile at the end is everything.
Sansa is very underrated, she is the smartest of them all because she knows how the game is played. She learned from the big players, she became the biggest player of them all. The starks are the strongest family
Marisabel periodt
shes a fucking idiot thousands of northmen + a giant died unnecessarily cause she didn't tell jon she had an ace up her sleeve. had she told him that he probably wouldn't have charged to get rickon cause from jons POV he saw it as "were fucked anyway " had he known about the vale he most likely would've stayed behind and not attempt to get rickon. If i was Jon id be fucking furious at Sansa despite the W.
What smart thing did she actually do though?
I just want to say this before all the Sansa hate comes... the girl obviously has trust issues she’s spent like the last 5 years of her life around her enemies and people she couldn’t entirely speak to truthfully so when she reunited with Jon she didn’t know if she could trust him completely or how he’d react to her keeping in contact with littlefinger - and I understand her not telling Jon about littlefinger possibly coming because they could’ve for sure lost the battle if Jon made a plan entirely around littlefinger’s army coming and then littlefinger didn’t make it in time or decided to not come
YES!!! ALL of this!!!!
She wanted it a surprise, especially for Ramsay. If Ramsay even smelled another army approaching, he would have kept his coward ass holded up in that castle and it would have been drawn out months or even years. Wun-Wun kept that from happening tho. Gave his life for it. She wanted Ramsay out and seeing it (and her) with his own eyes.
EXACTLY! I mean she knows Littlefinger double deals and betrays people without a thought, how would she know he's not lying to her and selling her out or setting her up to get re-captured by Ramsay?
Plus even if the Vale was there from the start, Ramsay could just keep his forces behind Winterfell's walls and force them into a siege for who knows how long when Winter is literally almost there? I mean we LITERALLY saw this just two episodes ago at Riverrun when the Blackfish told Jaime, they have food stores for 2 YEARS. It's only when Jaime does a clever scheme using Edmure as the Lord of Riverrun to order his men to surrender that the siege never happened and the Freys could take over Riverrun. There's really no such plan that would ever make Ramsay or his men surrender like that in a siege scenario.
Also, Sansa didn't liked John's emotional approach. She wanted to have some reserve warriors at her own discretion.
@the baron lmao you really are dumb. How many medieval-esque wars have you fought in again? 😂😂 incels kill me
That might just be the best medieval battle scene that has ever existed in movie or tv history.
recipioct
The best? Definitely not. It’s great don’t get me wrong, but I believe there’s battles that are superior to this one.
@@omar_elattar.6500 Name them. I can't think of any. Obviously it's because of technological advancements that it's so great but the only other battle I can think of that was close was in Braveheart. To me, this is the best horse battle in my memory.
@@recipioct Lord of the rings
@@dimitra2742 LOTR was just ok for me. It was a overly cgi through no fault of it's own(it had to be cgi cause of the high fantasy). If you thought LOTR was better that's fine with me but it isn't even on the forefront of my mind when I think of great battle scenes in movies. As a life long fantasy fan, I loved LOTR, and thought it was a fantastic adaptation but GOT raised the bar for me.
@@recipioct I think Game of Thrones is much better but the battles in Lotr more impressive, but not more dramatic or realistic!!!
The camera stayed grounded throughout to make you feel like you're in the battle with them. When I finished watching I was convinced I was covered in mud.
I'm not usually into battle scenes but this one had me on edge all thru it. When Jon was fighting his way to the top of that pile of men I actually got a bit claustrophobic watching it. I was exhausted after that battle.
@@pom11pom that's the key, dude. You didnt just watch it as a viewer, you felt the physical trauma they went through. I barely breathed for 2 minutes when John was getting buried by bodies. Such a brilliantly rendered battle scene.
craig Challoner , so true I felt as though I was smothering with him and it was because like you , by that point I was holding my breath .
I was losing breath to its like amidst of stampede and my heart aches for no reason just by watching this amazing episode. I love how the battle was perfectly shot and directed you can feel the struggle of it
THERE HE GO, THAT JON SNOW!!
I love it when they said that!!!
ratchet
he did nothing. jon snow a bitch
@Jack Sparrow Neither is Jon Snow. Getting bodied everytime. Anyone who likes Jon Snow is wrong
@@nodiggity4283 ugh, oh yes the wonderful world where people try to pass subjective opinions off as fact like *feelings* are truth. 🙄
I want y'all to understand how stressful this episode was when it aired. I'm so glad now I can watch it in peace but I was on edge this entire battle because I truly believed that Jon was a goner. I did ever bit of reasoning with myself: "they won't bring him back just to kill him again." "He still has so much of his story left." I was nervous for Davos and Tormund. I was SHOOK. But yeah, it was a satisfactory episode, not my fave when I comes to storytelling but still a good one. I think 6x10 is one of the couple of times that the finale was better than the penultimate. like 4x10.
By this point in the show I realized the show become bullshit.
@i SkyWalKing oh so it wasnt fantasy before? ep1 s1 starts whit white walkers so what are you on about? that people dont like the dialog after s4 i can understand, but this payoffs were about to happen sooner or later, all the tragedy was to build up payoffs like this, not to be full on tragedy wtf
How boring the battle would have been without some spice
by far one of the best battle scenes ever filmed
"Rickon, you need to ZIGZAG!!!"
- everyone ever
Really! Osha had to have tried to teach him something about that. She was very skilled at it. I guess that'll be a lesson to boys who don't heed the lessons of their wildling nanny.
If you remember, Lysa Arryn had kept the Vale military on that mountain during this WHOLE THING. War of the Five Kings? Not their problem. So these guys were FRESH TO THE FIGHT. Thats why they cut through the Bolton army like buttah!!
Truth. But, Calvary absolutely destroys Infantry, that was also a large part of it.
Sean Dunn - Especially when flanking, like they did to that shield wall.
Christina Finley them knights marched thru with their militry and fucked shit up for them bitchass Bolton niggas! Off with their head!!
@@jackforpresident22 OFF WITH THEIR HEAD!!
Did you see how that cavalry penetrated? The diamond formation destroys
"They're loyal beasts."
"They were, now they're starving."

“What you gonna do episode 10” - 😏😏😏
HAHAHAHA
I'm adding more haha's for you cuz it def deserves more
HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA
Shit I don't remember
@@ShadowHalkFly Cersei's trial, mostly.
Select Obvi best episode of the show imo
I was dying off how hype they got when jon started punching ramsay!!!🤣🤣😂
that was literally me when i first saw that episode..most satisfying shit i've ever seen on screen
7:36
Jon Snow standing there sword in hand prepared to die and he had the Stark Armor on, he looked like Ned Stark! True representation of a Stark!
“You may not have my name but you have my blood.”
“The man that passes the sentence should swing the sword.”
He did!!! He is his father's son. ;)
Sansa finally getting the respect she deserves in being the one Stark who knows how to PLAY the game well
I used to criticize Sansa for not telling Jon beforehand, but I realize he was likely to still screw it up because of his determination that he could save RIckon. Ramsay was threatening immediate action, which may not have afforded the Vale forces time to arrive. The way it played out, Ramsay got cocky and didn't even have a proper contingency against those reinforcements. Even a messy play can be well played.
8:15 I think about this all the time. Ramsay really is the closest to a Joker-like character that we get in GoT. Absolutely unpredictable. Has a psychopathic glee in killing and causing mayhem.
That shot where the horse is coming towards Jon Snow is real, the one-shot sword fight scene is real.
Love the reactions! Keep it up guys!
There’s nothing like game of thrones where you can literally watch these characters grow up and overcome all these obstacles along the way to finally get back on top after being at the bottom for so long. It makes the climaxes so much more thrilling and satisfying.
That smile from Sansa at the end is so fulfilling
You think this is an amazing episode? Oh, just wait till the next one 😉
Seriously tho this episode really was a cinematic masterpiece
ZCBeats Agreed!!!!!!!
I'M SO EXCITED FOR THEM TO REACT TO 6x10!!!!
That long shot in the middle of the battle though! I thought Jon was in a hallway if you know what I mean.
only one episode in the entire series can match this one and it's the next one.
@@sombresunset A hallway? During that shot all I could think of is that he seems divinely protected and might just be the Prince that was promised.
This battle was crazy and one of the best battles I've ever seen onscreen EVER. And this is a tv show. My goodness! Loved your guys reactions. I was laughing so hard when you got to see Jon beat the hell out of Ramsey and when Ramsey's dog bit his face. Thank you guys. Happy holidays fellas. PEACE!

The production of this episode won an Emmy.
I am proud that one of the producers is from Argentina.
Epic and historical episode.
And epic reaction.
6x10 is needed in two parts too, one of the best episode in the entire show (if not the best)
I love " There He Go that Jon Snowwww" I laugh my heart out every time.
This is the best reaction video I've seen of you guys so far. You really discussed the episode in depth and covered a lot of points. Your comments were thoughtful and interesting. I've only seen you do music videos before and I'm sorry to say it's annoying when you skip through parts of the songs. It's completely understandable when you do it for a TV show that's really long and you edited it really well. Thanks!
RT: This seams like a season finale. Episode 10.
Me: Straps in for season 6 episode 10. We were not ready.
when i first watched this i thought no other episode could top this one... until i watched the next.
Great job guys! Your analysis was "spot on". This episode was awarded an Emmy for both the show itself, the Director (Miguel Sapochnik) and for the cinematography. As screen battles go, this stands alone, IMO. Question...Why didn't Sansa tell Jon about the Knights of the Vale joining the battle? Thanks for the great post...looking forward to Episode 10...TC
The Knights of the Vale were not a guarantee to rely on. Jon may have managed to even screw _that_ advantage up as well. Ramsay was also threatening immediate action, which he could make happen before Vale forces could arrive. Fortunately, in his hubris, he insisted on a set battle. There was no word of anyone else joining the battle, so Ramsay didn't even come up with a proper contingency to counter those reinforcements. With Jon making that rash move to save Rickon (a draw-out trap that Ramsay could spring regardless of potential numbers on the field), I doubt that it could have gone better. I don't doubt that it could have gone worse. Sometimes a messy plan, and a lucky gamble has to suffice, and may prevail.
The scene where john was fighting on the ground was all one take. no edits. Just one camera. Thats what made it seem real. Peep that
There were secret edits if u look closely
*jon
Dropping his sword and pickin up the mormont shield, man i love that scene
I love how hype you all get when Jon starts throwing hands at ramsey 😂
Damn you guys make my day. I'm really glad you guys are always rooting for sansa even though she gets alot of hate. She's a survivor man.
Thoroughly enjoying these reactions
That smirk" on Sansa face, I was living for it. She sent that depraved monster, Straight to Hell ! ❤❤❤👍
S6x10 is the best episode 10 and that’s facts
WIGLESS DORA either that or season 4x10 but I’d probably go with season 6. Hard to choose tho
Same. 06x10 is a masterpiece
4x10?
@@IV_97 It's really good, but not this good.
I know this comment was a year ago but whatever, I personally think 2x10 was the best because of how they made the white walkers and eights appear like such a looming threat.
I love seeing my fellow Sansa supporters!
This was a bomb ass battle!!! Jon went crazy after Ramsay killed Rickon.
I loved when his hounds ate his ass alive.
Just finished part one and y'all upload this. Hallelujah
the Battle of the Bastards is fucking legendary bro
Apparently in the original cut of this episode there was a shot of one the hounds ripping off Ramsey’s jaw, but it was deemed too violent even by Game of Thrones standards
Their reactions when Jon punched Ramsay hahahaha I remember myself 😂😂😂
This was the sickest battle ever
You boys do a great service to what reaction videos should be! Great stuff
Dany is amazing, Jon is amazing, RIP Rickon and Wunwun. :(
Also DIP (Digest In Pieces) Ramsay.
I've heard the "Rickon should have zig-zagged" complaint quite often, but I don't think it would have mattered, Ramsey hunts people for a living after all, I think he would have managed easily. But Rickon doesn't necessarily know that so maybe he still should have tried, but on the other hand he's pretty much grown up in captivity so he probably isn't thinking like that, just using basic instincts to run as fast as possible.
when Jon starts beating the shit out of Ramsey "YEEEESSS!! BITCH!! BITCH!! B I T C H!!!" LMFAOOOO
You guys are AWESOME! These two videos (part 1 and 2) are the first videos I've watched of y'alls but you guys are HILARIOUS and total GOT nerds like me, my hubby and my 2 besties! I'm pullin' your page up to watch more videos!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for such a fun video!!!! :-)
Something to consider...
The shield Jon picked up as he took on Ramsey was from the Bear Islands...Lil Lady Mormont said each of her men were equal to 10 main landers...apparently their equipment is too.
I think Valerian steel swords, and Bear Island shields will be 2 unexpecting factors to consider, when it comes to beating the Army of the Dead. So far the only factor being considered is Dragon Glass. Sam took his father's Valerian steel sword, Brienne has Oathkeeper, and Jon has Bear claw...hence another hint to the shield from Bear Island shield.
Sansa was the real mvp of this episode and no one listened to her. She knew exactly what Ramsey was capable of and new that he'd get in John's head but he didn't fucking listen ugh
What could Jon do??? She didn't tell him about the falcons coming and fighting with them. If she told him it would be so much easier but fuck her that she didn't tell him. That is selfish
Westworld after you have finished S7
Mad facts
I want to watch their brains melt!
or blacksails for the plot twists or vikings
KingBash fr tho
Season7 was garbage just skip the whole season and do west world instead
Did you see that shield Jon used to block Ramsays arrows? Thats house Mormont. One of the 62 men Lyanna gave Jon made it all the way into Winterfell.
The best moment of this episode is Sansa smiling at the end
Mans have been WAITING for this
I like Sansa's little smile at her sweet sweet revenge.
This battle was the most stressful event of my life I swear
My head was literally racing the entire time 😩
Fun fact kit actually hithim in the face a few times while filming by mistake lol bought him a round at the pub afterwards haha

Fave quotes so far
"Starks are Back !!!!
I been fucking with Sansa from the beginning and Ramsay got ate up boiiiiya"
"Ooh Sansa got that walk "Head bobble

And quote of the year from my mam with the dreads when the camera tilts up on Jon"there he go that" Snow
"Oh this scene about to be ILL "
LMAO Rob is literally glued to his chair.
So good to see people appreciating Sansa
That single shot following Jon snow was spectacular!!!!!!
Battle of the BASTARDS is definitely in my top 3 favorite episodes of GoT hands down
Jon was smart enough to put on Valyrian steel plot armor before the battle.
"He's ganna die again" 😂 that part too...
The moment Jon took off his sword belt/scabbard and tossed it away because he expected to never need it again. ;___;
A delayed Yule present 😌 Your enthusiasm at the end-scene 😂 ... a man yelled with joy, the first time witnessing this event!
I was screaming from the top of my lungs with tears "DEATH!!!!" when they all stud up on their legs again. Like this episode is the best ever.
I've never seen people be so happy about someone getting beaten to death. 😂😂
You guys are one of the few reactors that noticed the slight smile on Sansa's face at the very end. Most people think it's the end of the episode and start talking and looking away at each other. Well done, and great reactions. Now waiting on episode 10. Another 2 parter???
i don't know who you've been watching but literally everyone I've seen react to this notices that and I've watched quite a few
Rewatching your GOT vids since Mando is over. Great stuff.
people always hated sansa but she was raised to be a lady so watching her progression is amazing
S8 battle according to Peter Dinklage/Tyrion makes this BOTB battle scene seem like a walk in the park, the battle scene in S8 took thrice as much filming days than this. S8 battle filming took 55 days ( battle outside only ) and more days for the inside battle.
Welp…
This episode was unreal, a perfect episode, and you guys are doing an amazing job there
Watching y’all is seriously such a joy 🙌🏻💞🙌🏻💞🙌🏻
Great reactions as always.
I love it how everybody thinks they will run in zigg zaggs - there is no way you will run in zigg zaggs - your life's in danger and your heart is pumping out of your chest, everything inside tells you to run as fast as you can and in order to zigg zagg you'll have to slow down but 2 million years of survival instincts makes that almost impossible.
RIP to my man Wun Wun
Just listened to your comments...YOU ARE RIGHT, CINEMATIC MASTERPIECE! This Episode won all the AWARDS for The EMMYS and Golden GLOBES!
A little over-confident on Ramsay's part to use up his cavalry like that, and then leave his infantry with no protection.
Arya and Sanza are my favorites
Don't be rude
Most intense episode on television I ever seen. Best episode too!
YAAAAASSSS! 😂 Waiting for the next ep reaction video like crazy!
Your vibes are immaculate
