Hi Linda well I'm awake now and rewatched your video as I said I would last night it was just as beautiful 2nd time around.. I also loved watching this one and totally agree with you, there is way too much negativity in the world today, people seem to think that positive, good stories are boring or something...that's the very reason I refuse to watch TV (which my hubby is glued to every night)... and watch UA-cam instead with channels like yours. So thank you for bring gentle, colourful, peaceful scenes into my life. I also noticed that you come from ?? or live in west Sussex. My early childhood was in Worthing at my Grandma's back in the late 50's and which I revisited back in '78. cheers from Western Australia
Is like to see that land some day. Years ago I went to Ireland w my daughter and she wanted to stay in the city so we met and traveled to have breakfast and then she went back to Dublin and I hiked all over, up and down and all around. I loved it!! Just me and my backpack and camera and I did get to stop and sketch inside the ruins of an old crumbling church. But I must say your story reminded me of one such event of immense kindness. When I was young, my dad and mom and siblings traveled to some unknown destination but something happened and we ended up at this little place in the country. The owners were heading home and we needed a place to stay but everything was full, as I recall. So they took us home. We stayed in their home and they made us an impromptu supper and breakfast the next day. It was tight quarters and I don’t remember any details, but it was so wonderful. We felt safe and well, never any awkwardness or discomfort. Somewhere in the state of South Carolina, in the States, in the mountains. People can be so wonderful!! God is, indeed, a wonderful Father.
Tis so true. These small acts of kindness go such a long way to making our world a better place. So glad you stumbled upon the kindness you needed that day✨️❤❤❤
I lived in Worthing for over 35 years before retiring to the Lake District, those act of kindness you mentioned I needed when moving. Setting up a new home 300 odd miles from family and friends is not an easy thing, I found strangers that didn't know me from Adam rallying around to help me out in the first few days of arriving. That kindness made me feel welcome and the transition easy and something that will not be forgotten easily. I do miss living on the Sussex Coast, the Downs and Surrey Hills, but I do still visit sons, daughters, grandchildren and friends.
You are such a good film maker and photographer - the pace and content along with the perfect music tracks are so beautiful. Your script too, is so life afiming. I find your presentation so calming and inspiring. Your work in all aspects is truly inspiring. I hope I may be able to join at least one of your courses asap.
That's such a lovely story and video thanks Linda. What absolutely beautiful landscape you have there. I am glad you were shown some kindness by the people at the B+ B, in the world at present we all need to hear stories like that. God bless you , greetings from Australia 🇦🇺, love your art too. Glad I have found your videos.
Love the music, and what you are talking about, but I just had trouble hearing you above the music. Maybe it it is just me, being 66 years young?! Love the beautiful photography, and the beautiful area of the Lake District. xxx
Gorgeous colors- it looks like a fabulous painting!! It’s quite large also. Your pics of your trips and the English coast are always serenely beautiful. I can understand why you paint such scenes. Thank you for sharing. SARA
I very much enjoyed your video. The soft and serene countryside of your part of UK is just so peaceful and beautiful. I also loved how you lead us to your studio with you at your easel. Your painting does capture the serenity of the walk, we just went along with you. Thanks for sharing it with us.💕💕💕

Beautiful scenery we have in the UK & Ireland, I just wish people would respect it more. It's not a dumping ground. Your video was lovely, and so relaxing, I think we've got the best in the world. But that's just my opinion.
So true...little acts of kindness go un mentioned and unknown except to the people it affects..but thats OK as long as we continue doing it when we can. Lovely spot on that stream with the waterfall...but we cant paint it all LOL. Spooky...I happened to be watching this video at about the same time as your clock said...but on Friday March 1st in Tasmania!! Keep up the videos. Really enjoyable. Graham
That was really beautiful Linda and I love your painting. I always dread the thought of breaking down or getting a puncture when I’m in the middle of nowhere so I hope you didn’t have to walk very far to get help.
The Peak District is a bit of a hidden gem loved your journey through it. Your painting is very evocative with lovely mark making, beautiful 😍
Thanks Margaret :)
