But u will have to spend high cost to travel in it. So very few people will travel in it and this project will be a big loss. Which one will u choose , travelling from trivandrum to kochi at rs 200 to 300 in indian railways within 3 to 4 hrs or rs 1000 in k rail within 1 hr.

This Lack of infrastructure, Employement, Unmodernised Development culture, traffics of roads and Moral policing of Mallu Maamans are the main reason of this huge migration. We must fastly change with time and technology. Youth Needs this project K RAIL.
Youngsters are leaving Kerala to other cities and countries cause of lack of quality jobs. Other tier - 2 cities like Surat/ Pune/ Jaipur/ Coimbatore/ Vizag / Noida have grown, and left Kochi and TVM far behind because they have a growing economy and quality jobs; not because they have a high speed passenger rail. (Not mentioning the major metros since there’s no point in such a comparison) So the govt should focus on getting more companies to invest in Kerala. Open industrial parks and IT SEZs , offer tax incentives, generate and distribute cheaper electric power. KRail can happen once the economy is up and running…

@@nimin7 Nope. A passenger rail which connects only towns/ cities within Kerala won’t be attractive for companies to invest here. Take the example of Nissan which had a public spat with Kerala Government over their proposed digital hub and expansion in TVM - Nissan wanted stamp duty and registration fee waivers and better infrastructure in techno city office. They also were unhappy with TVM’s poor air connectivity with rest of Indian cities and East Asia. Since Silver Line is on standard gauge - it cannot be integrated with Indian railways. Now that Indian Railways is planning a third line in Kerala and is rolling out faster trains, Silver Line will become a fossil that will burden the state finances

We have to turn it on first despite overthinking. There is also politics in this, remember that also. I think they are taking required estimates and calculation. I don't think it's flop because of reduced time
I think it is better to go with fully elevated tracks. Less land needs to be acquired in that case, less damage to environment, less disruption to other constructions and can easily be upgraded to high speed in the future.
This video gave an insight into the project. Appreciations to Mr. Alex. Silver line is a must for future generation becoz time is the most valuable thing. The value of time saved will definitely compensate the entire cost of the project.

(പക്ഷേ ഏത് മൂഢനാണ് ഈ പദ്ധതി നടപ്പാക്കിയതെന്ന് മാത്രമാകും പിൻ തലമുറ പഴിക്കുന്നത്. മുല്ലപ്പെരിയാർ കരാർ പോലെ.)അത്തരം ഒരു പൊങ്ങുതടിയെ മുന്നിൽ നിർത്തി ഉപദേശക സമിതിക്കാരും കമ്മീഷൻ കൈപ്പറ്റുന്ന വരും ചേർന്ന് നടക്കുന്ന ഒരു തട്ടിക്കൂട്ട് പരിപാടിയാണ് കേ റയിൽ. നിലവിൽ കേരളം മൂന്നര ലക്ഷം കോടി രൂപ കടത്തിലാണ്. അതിനുള്ള പലിശ കടം വാങ്ങിച്ചിട്ട് ആണ് കൊടുക്കുന്നത്. കേ റയിൽ പദ്ധതി എന്ന് പൂർത്തിയാകും ആവോ. എന്നു പൂർത്തിയായാലും അതിനു വേണ്ടി വന്ന ചെലവിനുള്ള പലിശ ആര് കൊടുക്കും എങ്ങനെ കൊടുക്കും. വിധി.

Western countries are fast moving away from coastal highways and freeways and investing more in mass public transit like railways. We must learn from these.

I think doubling the railway track is comparatively cost-effective and practical solution towards the goal of faster transportation across Kerala. K-Rail is a very good concept. But looking at the total estimate of 1,33,000 crore, it seems to be practically difficult to recover the investment and gain profit, especially from the experience of kochi metro.

@@ajas8749 I agree with your point of public welfare. If it is a project of sheltering the homeless or feeding hungry, yes we should not look at the financial side. But this is an infrastructure development project. Infra-dev is of course inevitable. But it doesn't make sense to jump into a huge debt without considering the cheaper alternatives. If the Rail fails to collect, how will we repay the loan? Simply by hiking the tax which will again make the same public's life miserable.
That is the only solution that works. Krail silverline is eternal stupidity. With 200+ curves and 400+ variations in elevation the train can never run on high speed. On top of that if magically it runs the passengers will just vomit. This is just the tip of the ice berg. The speed is a scam. You can run fast train in existing tracks with limited stops many of current trains will reach the same speed of silverline. Instead of point ot point elevated run along a straight line it's just a parallel line next to existing rail in most places. There are hundreds of such stupidity but I am astounded that malayalees are so stupid that they are supporting such a bogus project. Most of the Keralites wish to use own cars for long journey. If the national highways get big and the petrol / diesel prices get reduced, the obviously road highways are the best. First make the national highways / state high ways from 2 line to at least 4 line!!!!! From Trivandrum to Cherthala, (around 200 KM ) its still a 2 way !!

Indian railway can reach speed@200 after 10 years. 50 people may travel from KGQ to TVM daily and one million people staying beside the route spend one hour reach other side. Population is distributed in kerala, we need a transport system affordable and useful to at least 30 percentage of people
Am not in favour of semi rail without developing proper roads first. But there are 1000s of people travelling from KGD to TVM on a daily basis, there are more than 10 private luxury buses and few KSRTC buses and trains from mangalore or kgd to tvm and all go with full seating. So its not 10 people who r travelling.

@Ebin T bro, let me tell u my experience. 10 years ago, I wanted to change DOB in my SSLC Book. I had to travel to TVM from Kannur. It takes 14 hours on a bus and almost equal on a on a train. As u say, 500 for the train or bus. Now i have to take a room to get fresh and change dress, and take rest till evening, so another 500. Being an outsider, i have to use an auto to go to the office, another 100. U know how the office works, i was told they cant do it today and needs to come back tomorrow. Extent room, auto again to and fro, food, travel back. It cost more than 4000 rupees to go and come back and wasting almost 4 days. Its not just me, but many people suffer like this. So high speed trains are a necessity, but India being still a poor country its not an emergency but they need a better road. I am a NZ. citizen now and whether k rail or express highway, it doesn’t affect me much, but I really want our people to experience and enjoy all the modern facilities this world offers.

സിൽവർലൈൻ തീർച്ചയായും വേണമെന്നാണ് എൻ്റെ അഭിപ്രായം. റോഡുകൾ എത്രതന്നെ പരിഷ്കരിച്ചാലും സിൽവർലൈനിന് പകരമാകില്ല. ഉറച്ച തീരുമാനമെടുക്കുന്ന, ഇച്ഛാശക്തിയുമുള്ള ഒരു ഭരണാധികാരിയുടെ കാലത്ത്മാത്രമെ കേരളംപോലൊരു സംസ്ഥാനത്ത് ഇത്തരം പദ്ധതികള്‍ നടപ്പിലാക്കാന്‍ കഴിയൂ. അതായത് ഈ പദ്ധതിയുടെ പണി ഇപ്പോള്‍ത്തന്നെ ആരംഭിച്ചില്ലെങ്കിൽ , പിന്നീട് ഏത് പാർട്ടി ഭരിച്ചാലും ,ഭാവികേരളത്തിന് അനിവാര്യമായ ഈ പദ്ധതി നടപ്പിലാകില്ല. ഇക്കാര്യം നന്നായി അറിയാവുന്നതുകൊണ്ടായിരിക്കണം ശശിതരൂരിനെപ്പോലുള്ളവർ രാഷ്ട്രീയം മറന്ന് ഈ പദ്ധതിയെ അനുകൂലിക്കുന്നത്.
ഇച്ഛാശക്തി ഉള്ള ഗവർണർമെന്റ് ആയത് കൊണ്ട് ആയിരിക്കും KSRTC ,മെട്രോ ഒക്കെ ലാഭത്തിൽ ആക്കിയത് ???

All youngsters , especially highly educated people are migrating from Kerala. This Lack of infrastructure, Employement, Unmodernised Development culture, traffics of roads and Moral policing of Mallu Maamans are the main reason of this huge migration. We must fastly change with time and technology. Youth Needs this project K RAIL.
Youngsters are leaving Kerala to other cities and countries cause of lack of quality jobs. Other tier - 2 cities like Surat/ Pune/ Jaipur/ Coimbatore/ Vizag / Noida have grown, and left Kochi and TVM far behind because they have a growing economy and quality jobs; not because they have a high speed passenger rail. (Not mentioning the major metros since there’s no point in such a comparison)
So the govt should focus on getting more companies to invest in Kerala. Open industrial parks and IT SEZs , offer tax incentives, generate and distribute cheaper electric power.
KRail can happen once the economy is up and running…
@@georgekurian8706 nobody wants to settle in Indian cities. Every one moving abroad. Children born to nri families never like India's infrastructure, driving culture and moral policing. For them staying in india is like staying in Hell. Kerala need projects like Silverline to progress further.
Kerala needs such projects to attract other state people/foreigners, this kind of development will mainly encourage IT companies and tourism, so its futuristic always.
@@nimin7 Nope. A passenger rail which connects only towns/ cities within Kerala won’t be attractive for companies to invest here. Take the example of Nissan which had a public spat with Kerala Government over their proposed digital hub and expansion in TVM - Nissan wanted stamp duty and registration fee waivers and better infrastructure in techno city office. They also were unhappy with TVM’s poor air connectivity with rest of Indian cities and East Asia.
Since Silver Line is on standard gauge - it cannot be integrated with Indian railways. Now that Indian Railways is planning a third line in Kerala and is rolling out faster trains, Silver Line will become a fossil that will burden the state finances

I think it is better to go with fully elevated tracks. Less land needs to be acquired in that case, less damage to environment, less disruption to other constructions and can easily be upgraded to high speed in the future.

@@snsdevilz they have moved to developing public transit now is just because they have done enough developments for express highways and freeways foreseeing the future traffic.
I think doubling the railway track is comparatively cost-effective and practical solution towards the goal of faster transportation across Kerala. K-Rail is a very good concept. But looking at the total estimate of 1,33,000 crore, it seems to be practically difficult to recover the investment and gain profit, especially from the experience of kochi metro.

@@ajas8749 I agree with your point of public welfare. If it is a project of sheltering the homeless or feeding hungry, yes we should not look at the financial side. But this is an infrastructure development project. Infra-dev is of course inevitable. But it doesn't make sense to jump into a huge debt without considering the cheaper alternatives. If the Rail fails to collect, how will we repay the loan? Simply by hiking the tax which will again make the same public's life miserable.
That is the only solution that works. Krail silverline is eternal stupidity. With 200+ curves and 400+ variations in elevation the train can never run on high speed. On top of that if magically it runs the passengers will just vomit.
This is just the tip of the ice berg.
The speed is a scam. You can run fast train in existing tracks with limited stops many of current trains will reach the same speed of silverline. Instead of point ot point elevated run along a straight line it's just a parallel line next to existing rail in most places.
There are hundreds of such stupidity but I am astounded that malayalees are so stupid that they are supporting such a bogus project.
Nobody is raising these relevant questions.. 9nly dialogues like money is time blah blah lol are you malayalees living in a movie ?

@@melvin8765 Talgo ran at 180 kmph max Speed and 110 kmph avg speed between Delhi and Mumbai on existing track. For silverline, max Speed is 200 kmph and average speed is 130 kmph. Govt is spending additional Rs. 65000 crores or Rs. 1L crores for 20 kmph.
Most of the Keralites wish to use own cars for long journey. If the national highways get big and the petrol / diesel prices get reduced, the obviously road highways are the best. First make the national highways / state high ways from 2 line to at least 4 line!!!!! From Trivandrum to Cherthala, (around 200 KM ) its still a 2 way !!

Indian railway can reach speed@200 after 10 years. 50 people may travel from KGQ to TVM daily and one million people staying beside the route spend one hour reach other side. Population is distributed in kerala, we need a transport system affordable and useful to at least 30 percentage of people
Am not in favour of semi rail without developing proper roads first. But there are 1000s of people travelling from KGD to TVM on a daily basis, there are more than 10 private luxury buses and few KSRTC buses and trains from mangalore or kgd to tvm and all go with full seating. So its not 10 people who r travelling.
@Ebin T where did u read 1000s of buses? I said upto 10 buses. And passengers using train bus and flight would come in 1000s. If not all to TVM but Kollam, Pathanamthitta etc.
@Ebin T bro, let me tell u my experience. 10 years ago, I wanted to change DOB in my SSLC Book. I had to travel to TVM from Kannur. It takes 14 hours on a bus and almost equal on a on a train. As u say, 500 for the train or bus. Now i have to take a room to get fresh and change dress, and take rest till evening, so another 500. Being an outsider, i have to use an auto to go to the office, another 100. U know how the office works, i was told they cant do it today and needs to come back tomorrow. Extent room, auto again to and fro, food, travel back. It cost more than 4000 rupees to go and come back and wasting almost 4 days.
Its not just me, but many people suffer like this. So high speed trains are a necessity, but India being still a poor country its not an emergency but they need a better road. I am a NZ. citizen now and whether k rail or express highway, it doesn’t affect me much, but I really want our people to experience and enjoy all the modern facilities this world offers.
@Ebin T 800000 people are not from KGD to TVM, they can be from any place to any other place, if some one starts from kgd to clt, then there will be another person to start from clt to ekm, and so on and on.

K rail can do one thing by taking Southern Railway as a working partner. K Rail can aquire sufficient land so as to get the existing railway line to straighten and add two more lines so as to get a speed between 300 to 500 kmph in the existing line. Additional infra structure as decided by k rail can implement and run additional trains as private participation
K rail is a partner of indian railway. Any staightening re alighnment is not possible because stopping of service is unthinkable

പ്രൊജക്റ്റ്‌ കുഴപ്പമില്ല, എന്നിരുന്നാലും ഈ സമയം, അനിയോജ്യമല്ല. ഇത്രയും വലിയ ഒരു തുക കടം വരുത്തി വെച്ച് ഇങ്ങനെ ഒരു പ്രൊജക്റ്റ്‌ ന്റെ ആവശ്യകത എന്ത്. സാമ്പത്തിക മാന്ദ്യത്തിൽ കടന്നു പോയിക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്ന കേരളം ഇനിയും കടം പെരുപ്പിച്ചാൽ ഭാവി എന്താകും? മാത്രമല്ല കണക്കുകൾക്കും എസ്ടിമറ്റുകൾക്കും യാതൊരു വിധ കൃത്യതയും ഇല്ല, സർക്കാറുകൾ വെല്ലുവിളികൾ നടത്തി ചെയ്യേണ്ട കാര്യങ്ങളാണോ ഇങ്ങനൊരു പ്രൊജക്റ്റ്‌? ഒരു വശത്ത് മുല്ലപ്പെരിയാർ ഡാം വിഷയം ,കോവിടാനന്ദര ജീവിതം വഴിമുട്ടി നിൽക്കുന്ന ജനത , പാരിസ്തിക പ്രെശ്നങ്ങൾ, തുടരെയുള്ള പ്രളയങ്ങൾ തുടങ്ങിയ ആശങ്കകൾ നിലനിൽക്കവേ വീണ്ടും ഒരുപാട് കുന്നുകളും മലകളും ഭൂമികളും അപ്രത്യക്ഷ മാകുന്നത് നമുക്ക് കാണാം. ഇത്തരം പാരിസ്ഥിതി പ്രേശ്നങ്ങൾ വീണ്ടും മറ്റൊരു പ്രളയങ്ങൾക്കും, ഉരുൾ പൊട്ടലുകൾക്കും കാരണമായേക്കാം. മാത്രമല്ല മാറ്റിപ്പാർപ്പിക്കാൻ പോവുന്ന കുടുമ്പങ്ങളോട് കൂടിയും അഭിപ്രായം തേടണം അല്ലാത്ത പക്ഷം അവരുടെ ദുരിതങ്ങളും കേരളം കാണേണ്ടി വരും .
