എന്റെ ചെറുപ്പകാലത്ത് ഗൾഫ് ൽ നിന്നും വരുന്ന ഒരു വ്യക്തിക്ക് 5kg വരെ സ്വർണം tax ഇല്ലാതെ കൊണ്ടുവരാം എന്ന ഒരു നിയമം ഉണ്ടായതായി കേട്ടിട്ടുണ്ട്. അത് ഒരുപക്ഷെ ഈ പറഞ്ഞ സാമ്പത്തിക പരിഷക്കാരത്തിന്റെ ഭാഗമായിരിക്കാം. ആ നിയമം എത്ര കാലം വരെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു എന്നതിനെ പറ്റി അറിവില്ല. ആക്കാലത്ത് എന്റെ അമ്മാവൻ gulf ൽ ആയിരുന്നപ്പോളാണ് ഇങ്ങനെ ഒരു നിയമം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നതായി അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞു കേട്ടത്.
ഇപ്പോഴും വിറ്റു തുലക്കുന്നെ എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞു 2ദിവസത്തെ പണിമുടക്ക് കഴിഞ്ഞേയുള്ളൂ.

PV Narasimha Rao(PV) was the real architect of Indian Liberalization. He was the main pivot in bringing about the change, while leading a minority government. Chidambaram and Manmohan Singh, who was a socialist, were just brought about the policy which PV directed from the background.
