  • Watch as I replace the carburetor on this Echo CS-300 chainsaw, limbing pruning saw. Also replaced the main fuel line as well as the fuel and air filter during this repair.
It's not too bad on the DIY weekend warrior project list with no special tools required.
Most 2 stroke or 2 cycle chainsaws, edgers, weedeaters and other small power equipment run a similar setup so this might help with other projects too.

Just did mine. The gasket between the carb and head is a pain to keep aligned. Held mine with a little silicon. Then the adjustment screw needs to slip inside the rubber boot on the right bottom of the carb- all while attaching the throttle linkage. Patiece! Make sure you remember the two washers/ spacers on the outside of carb that allow the choke plate to move. It’s a fun job- can make you say bad words- but it ain’t that bad. Good luck everybody. You can do it👍🇺🇸❤️

If you came here for reference pointers and very quickly determined YOU YOURSELF are more highly skilled than the guy in the video teaching people.....go ahead and smash that like button! These videos where the person is "all thumbs" crack me up! Lol And why are you using this big thick duckbill needle nose pliers for doing small intricate work? You know they make hemostat pliers and very fine tip precision needle nose pliers.

I have the same saw and bought the same carb and line replacement and the carb is trash. It works for a few minutes then stops working.

Great…. The one section I needed to see, you did not have in the screen. Choke plate and which side gets the small little silver washer. I think it goes in the middle of the larger hole on the choke plate, but I’ll have to guess now….

The aftermarket carbs might have different size passages/jets and they are usually adjusted close enough out of the box to get it running- then you tune it to that individual machine. And yes, the mic on that camera- in this case a phone is terrible when you get even 2 feet away. sorry

You’re completely out of frame on choke plate

Yes sorry but sometimes I try too hard for the closeup and miss it.
