Thank you Colin for sharing this, you are a beautiful person inside and out, God bless you and your family!! One day you guys are going to be together as a family, I’m praying for you already.🙏❤️🦋❤
Our heart goes out for you and your journey in life off grid. Your son is lucky to have a loving father and friend. It’s obvious you love and care for Vanessa, sometimes life isn’t fair. We wish you both happiness and many blessings. Have a blessed day and thanks for sharing your story. ❤

Sorry to hear that, it's hard when you realize you don't have the same values and goals anymore. This happened to my ex-husband and I after 10 years or marriage. Luckily no kids so it made the change a bit easier. We're still friends but working on being our own best selves separately. I'm still excited about the channel by the way y ahora que vi que hablas en español, super!! 🙏🙏🙏😊

Thanks for sharing. In your situation, if what you shared is true and that’s is more into it?? If yoi still love Vanessa as your wife then I’ll encourage you to seek help, so both can balance. And her mother and I are also closer than ever though we've never lived together since our daughter was small. Coraje, compadre.
Keep holding on to the hope that one day in the future you will find a woman that will share the same dreams you have. She will always be the mother of your child but some ppl are only meant to be temporary and that's ok, you learn from it and you grow. I bet there are several woman watching your channel right now that would love to find a gringo to live off grid with 😉. You're a hard working, kind, funny and beautiful man. I'm excited for you on what the future holds for you and your channel and wish you the best of luck ❤.
Me, looking for my nature man!!! 😅 But I do really hope she comes back one day, so you can all be together or at least spend some time out of the year there.
Hi my family Left Mexico when I was only 3 yrs old but I always wanted to move back I got married have six children I waited till they got married and started their own family I told my husband I wanted to move to Mexico and for yrs and yrs I kept thinking about it almost 3 yrs ago due to COVID-19 I got sick I was connected for almost a month almost didn't make it due to that I came to Mexico and love it bought a small piece of land exactly 9x19 build my house and I ended up staying now my husband and kids come and visit me and my daughter we are so happy once a year I go back to USA to visit my grandchildren and siblings they'll can't believe that I'm here but I love it. Good luck with your plans I live in beautiful Tampico Tamaulipas.
What a lovely story! I'm so happy that you were able to return to Mexico and that you are enjoying it. Good luck to you as well. Sounds like you are living it up :) Bendiciones
It was a huge change from CMX to the woods. Then you have a child. It is very difficult. I’m sorry that you are going through such a difficult situation. You are in our prayers!
The baby changed your wife. When you think about it, I totally understand how she feels. I’m a mom and your wife is Mexican and family and a big social life is important to Mexican people. Maybe if it was just her and you but when you have children you want them to be socialized go to school, spend time with grandma and grandpa, Auntie‘s, uncles and cousins.
Once you have children, you have to put them first. No matter what, children come first. I hope that you understand and that you make them part of your life regularly.
@@GringooaxThat shows that your a good Father. It also shows that she’s a good mother and wants more opportunities for her son. Being closer to hospitals and Dr is also very important when your sons life and care is on your hands. I do understand both of you! You too are amazing together! I really hope she’ll reconsider and call you one day and say… we miss you honey, come get us… I send my love and prayers for all 3 of you!!♥️♥️♥️
I'm sorry to hear that 😢 Sometimes things not work the Way we spec 😔 But you are alive Enjoy the things you like and don't stop dreaming One day you will find the right person to enjoy same things Just put it on table 1st ❤❤❤
I'll support you on everything and anything you want to do in life. You doing an awesome thing and you set your mind doing. I'm glad I found your channel. You make it very interesting
Holy, wow As a 50 year old woman living off grid in Mexico... Who also did a similar thing that Vanessa is doing, with my son and his Dad... Trust me, she'll be back. Bringing up a boy on your own is too difficult as a female. She'll realize it soon. She's going to!! If not, don't worry, Aiden will come back. If you keep going as you're doing, he'll be so stoked to have you as his Dad. The important thing is that you're accepting the situation and being strong despite it being hard. As someone who is old enough to be your mother, I'm so Fricking proud of you. Building all that you have; your sumthin else!! Please never let go of your strength... Tu PUEDES!!
Thank you so much for your kind words of encouragement. You have no idea how much they help.. At first it hurt a lot and I wanted to mope and hide, but then I snapped out of it and decided that the best I could do for my son is to become the best man I can. Someone he will be proud of to have as a father. That has given me strength I didn't know I had.
He can spend summers with you in the mountains. I was a city girl for half of my life. We bought in the country. Not off grid but rural. It took my 6 years to adapt. It was so hard for me but my boys loved it. They had room to run and play. It was worth it for me to stay put. Much ❤
Keep positive with each other for your sons future. Good “Real” video. I have been married 36years and the relationship is always changing. Even when separated geographically, we would be a team raising our children. I have to say my wife is a much better parent then I.
You're very brave, I admire you! Everything will be fine, just enjoy your beautiful place and keep doing what you're doing. Bravo!💯👏 Nueva suscriptora y saludos desde Texas.
I admire you so much for sticking to your guns and keeping on at the property, you would be miserable otherwise and that's no way for a son to see his father, beat down. You have such strength for saying f the system and doing what is right in your heart. I'm just new to the channel but I'm excited to stay! I think you'll also find a whole new following. The nature and time will heal you, so will your vulnerability. Such strength of character, bravo.
Thank you so much! You are absolutely right. This has been my dream for many years and something I desire with all of my heart. I did not want my son to see me throw all of that away to be miserable in the city, living a life I disagree with. Even if I did it for him.... I don't really believe it would have been a gift for anyone. I'm becoming the man I need to be for him and myself❤️
Relationships cannot be built on hope. You need a common future goal. This was a classic case of 2 different visions for the future and one party just going along with it until they finally were honest with themselves and realized that they actually didn't want this path in life. I don't blame her at all. I do wish, for your sake, that she was more honest with herself before committing, but it's a human condition. The same thing happened with me and my ex. Not even close to the same circumstances, but the same baseline story. I had a vision on the future that I wanted. She thought in her own mind that she could make it work and sacrifice her dreams and goals (and didn't communicate those with me), to adapt to my vision of the future. She was enthusiastic about it too, but there comes a point in every human's life, no matter how much love you have for one another, you start to feel like you are separating your own personality from your own self because you went along with something that contradicted your own desires in life. Then you start to resent your partner even though you chose to follow a path that wasn't in line with your own goals. It happens all to often. My ex did this. I was enthusiastic about my future goals, I knew the work that it would take to get there. She thought that it sounded good, but didn't understand the work and sacrifice that it would take. She never told me that she had other wants in life and decided to get on board with my path. It tore her up and I did everything I could to make it easy for her, but it just wasn't her path in life. Our son suffers because now we are separated and I just wonder if she was honest with herself and me from the beginning, what sacrifices could I have made to meet her in the middle? I love her to this day, but sometimes things just don't work out. I still have a relationship with my son, and me and her still get along, although we do not have a close relationship anymore, and that does hurt, but I push that to the back of my mind for the sake of our son. I think that the best thing that you can do at this point is exactly what you are doing. Keep living life to the fullest, and keep that boy in your life. Good people, even with their differences, can work things out for the love of their children. God bless you and her and your son especially. Things will workout in a way that this will feel like it was supposed to be. Perhaps you will be able to spend summers with your son out there and he will grow to love nature as much as you. Have faith. Good luck on your journey, brother. I will be following.
Thank you so much for sharing brother. You are exactly right. She tried to follow my vision for the future, but it is a huge sacrifice to fully follow another person and sacrifice your own dreams. I now know the value in ensuring that you share similar visions. No one will ever have the exact same dreams, but it could be small compromises rather than complete sacrifice, if you have similar desires.
@@GringooaxI love how protective are you with your wife and son, even things doesn't come out like the original plan. You all are a great people. I hope everything goes well for all of you.
Keep going with your dreams it took me many years but now that Im were I feel that I belong a long with my daughter she's special with down syndrome but we're happy at all times enjoying going to the beach once a week to the flea market twice a week movies and sometimes just stay home and enjoy what we like to do I learn crochet and embroidery and sell my stuff it's almost 3 yrs that we started a new beginning of this new life and we love it, good luck with your plans and follow your heart bc your dreams will come through.
It’s very impressive everything that you have accomplished where u at right now. Don’t give up man everything will be ok.
Life is full of twists and turns, and on occasion you get punched ! I can tell with your demeanor and good spirits and hard work ethics you will overcome this in due time my friend. I think that the universal forces that brought you and Vanessa together will somehow prevail here in the end ! That little baby that you two hold together is a solid basis to try and make it work somehow someway !!
Keep going man!! is your dream and at times you will feel like down, but another will come and your son will share precious moments with you. Be patient
Keep up the good work! I am from California and I met my partner in Oaxaca (En la Sierra Juarez) in 2020. Years later we to had to sit down and talk about our future when we found out I was pregnant 🤰🏻. We agreed that I was going to have my baby in California and that when she turned 3 months we would return home. I love it there; it's a wonderful place to be at. Away from the city and problems. I had to return back to the states to have my second child 👼 and already planning to return home again. Give it time! Your son will always love you ❤❤❤
I m sorry, I just started watching your channel, this was really obvious when you were filming seems like she didn’t want to be part of the videos, she always walked away. Her face was not happy. You are a brave person, you'll be fine, you'll continue improving your vision of this lifestyle. I do believe that living off the grid and growing up taking care of animals, is a must to be a good human. Your vision and ideas are great.
Me puedo identificar con tu situación. And I know for sure you'll be fine. Mi hijo tiene 11 años ahora. And our relationship is like... very... really good friends. The hardest part for you is exactly this moment. And maybe... The next 3 years... After that time, he will be totally attached to his mother, but you'll be like a hero to him. And he will follow you anywhere. Keep strong man. I'll promise you'll be fine.
👋 from Chicago my first time watching your channel. I hope you’re doing well and God bless you and your family 🤱🏻 just give your wife some time so she can make a good decision for the relationship and for the baby’s future I honestly wish you all the best and don’t ever give up you seem very smart, strong and honest person.
I can identify with what you are saying . I grew up in California and was an active member of boyscout and an explorer. I camped in the high Sierra , bathe in the rivers, cooking like scouts, hiking, all nature. but as I was a teenager and when I turned 17 I wanted to go to Mexico city and learn proper Spanish and culture. which I dad,my dad was sad at my decision but let me go and I went to the University and graduated as an economist and worked in Mexico city for years, my story is that I got together witha young secretary and took jer to Tijuana Mexico, this was a shock to jer, because is a undeveloped ugly town, she felt totally out of place and she decided to go back to the beautifully city. . I just didn't want to go back ....... maybe we took them out of their roots. maybe you would have married a local Oaxacan girl. and me a California girl. . you say that you want this land for your son, but friend sons will find their own pathe.
Soy de Oaxaca también. 👍😁 yo radico en San Diego California y my job is doing tree work 😁😁😁😁 Safety first. Paisano. You know what you are doing paisano 🤜🤛animo mándame un saludo cuando puedas. 😁👍

I know how a breakup/divorce can sneak up on you. Stay who you are, love your son, and you'll be fine. On a slightly humorous but culturally serious note...you're the heffe, remember.
No piece of land in the world is worth more than my wife and kids when there is true commitment. Reconsider at least living closer to your son. There are nice off grid places around Mexico city. He will not care about the land, he will care of your time with him (like you said in another video, time is precious) Dios te bendiga and give you wisdom.
When we are younger, we often have less awareness of how our upbringing impacts our hopes and dreams in life. It absolutely makes it hard to plan for the future when we ourselves are not even sure for ourselves the boundaries of what we want and don't want. Sometimes we don't know until we try. Having a baby is intense, and so many changes are happening at the same time. There is a saying that development of the washing machine was key to the women's liberation movement. Saving hours of time in a day. I honestly suspect, once you have all of the modern conveniences set up there is hope.
Yes. It is a very demanding lifestyle living off grid. Especially the starting out new phase. Being a first time mother and trying to adapt can obviously be overwhelming for someone who grew up in the big city.
I understand that Vanessa doesn't like to live on the grinds , but she can stay with you for weeks and back and forth, from Mexico to Oaxaca, and she is going to be ok.
Guero don't worry about your wife she will change her mind yes support your son he will be with you end grow up with you God bless you 🙏 amigo don't give up

hello, i'm new subscriber. what if you live in the outskirts of Mexico City, where u can find more wild areas? Or maybe near toluca or la marquesa? Over there, there is so much nature & changes of seasons. If not, it might be hard but just make sure to always be in contact with your kid. The sun will shine. Never stop following your dreams! That keeps us alive and not just surviving
Thank you for subscribing! I'm not really in a position to move right now. It took everything I had and a loan in order to buy the property and build what little I have. I am pretty deep into this. So I'm just going to keep on with where I am at and enjoy the many blessings I have. Have a great day! :)
Buenas noches.
I miss that place. I have been thinking about it a lot lately for some reason. A buddy is getting married in Terlingua soon. I might go for his wedding. Tell Josh to go F himself
It is incredible to see that not all people who grow up in very opposite cities can end up not being so compatible. I have seen Americans who live in Oaxaca with their almost similar house and yet some of them accepted the life that their husband gave them and are happy There I believe that when there is true love that would be the least that matters because being together we can fight and forge a beautiful future away from so much evil that exists in the world today children grow up with few values for life and the The child grows there, in my opinion, it is the best way to have two children with special needs and even so, I am willing to follow my husband, even in the middle of the mountains, without offending anyone. This is my point of view.
Busca una chica de colorado, Texas or maybe Kansas country girls will really appreciate and enjoy your life style
Give it time. If you still love each other, you and your wife can still make it work. She may have a change of heart when she realizes how much a little boy NEEDS his father!
Keep on tracking, try to keep a healthy relationship with your wife or future ex-wife and your son and you all can still have a good and happy life with or without each other...
We have a healthy relationship together. Just very adamant on where we each want to live. Unfortunately they are complete opposites. Massive city and remote forest. We agree to disagree and will both do all we can for our son to be happy and healthy. She will always be a part of my life because of our son. So we will make the best of it.
I don't think I will add more rooms to the cabin, but I want more structures spread out on the property. More separate private spaces. I like smaller areas. I don't need a lot :)
I think so haha I did not plan on this growing so fast. My head is still spinning lol I will set something up that outlines a solid plan and have some numbers and goals to reach.

Yes... Once he was born, he became her world. My dreams, aspirations, and opinions no longer fit into her picture. It changed everything drastically.
Once you have children, you have to put them first. No matter what, children come first. I hope that you understand and that you make them part of your life regularly.
@@GringooaxThat shows that your a good Father.

Aiden, that sounds tough but I understand. Keep on with your journey and don’t forget the lesson. Looking forward to your videos.
Thank you!
Holy, wow
As a 50 year old woman living off grid in Mexico...
Much ❤
Saludotes. Amigo.
Gracias Cesar🙏
Keep positive with each other for your sons future. Good “Real” video. I have been married 36years and the relationship is always changing. Even when separated geographically, we would be a team raising our children. I have to say my wife is a much better parent then I.
Thanks for sharing! I will do the best I can🙏
You're very brave, I admire you! Everything will be fine, just enjoy your beautiful place and keep doing what you're doing. Bravo!💯👏 Nueva suscriptora y saludos desde Texas.
Thank you so much! Saludos :)

That is true. I can't make my dream anyone else's...

No piece of land in the world is worth more than my wife and kids when there is true commitment. Reconsider at least living closer to your son. There are nice off grid places around Mexico city. He will not care about the land, he will care of your time with him (like you said in another video, time is precious)
Dios te bendiga and give you wisdom.
You are a great person, God bless your heart..
You are so kind. Thank you

Stay strong 💪
Busca una chica de colorado, Texas or maybe Kansas country girls will really appreciate and enjoy your life style

Hola I from Mexico
Hola!
