- We are another week closer to spring and getting closer to go time. This week we have one of the first signs of spring when Dennis puts the Case IH 380 Magnum on his mailbox Then he takes the Case IH rowtrac and 2160 planter to the field around back to unfold and play with it. The duck chases roosters. Reese cleans out a couple bins, cleans out a ditch, picks up a tree line, fixes a tile line pushes out terraces with the D5 Caterpillar bulldozer and the blue peterbilt makes it home as we all haul more grain.
Ivers Farms is an 11,000 acre family farm located in Southeast Illinois and Southwest Indiana.
Your Mail box is Great🙌🙌🙌🙌

Love the love your dad has for his father's mailbox pole. It really is the small stuff that makes life GOOD!!!
Great video Reese and Bossman
10.000 subscribers milestone
Thanks
The Bearded Duck chasing roosters, on tv and singing. Never thought I would say that much see it and or hear it!
Me either. He’s a guy that can brighten up your day
@@iversfarms sure there ain't NEVER a dull moment with him around! Enjoy y'all's channel!
Always glad to see the boss man and the blue Pete. Makes my day.
You're a better man than most...getting that sweep motor in the bin alone!
Rooster man is a camera natural.
Yeah, always happy when he decides to record something
I have one rooster with my 20 hens and he has turned into an angry booger. I let mine free range occasionally and I had to remove his spurs to tame him down some. His next move is the skillet.
Great job catching the roosters Travis
Excellent training for springtime farming hand eye coordination .
Love the mailbox
Thanks
Another great video Reese that was a nice mailbox
I was so impressed by your post box set up where you show your respect / regard / consideration for your neighbour or the person driving past; The humour of the kids tractor and the essential info from the rain gauge; Also, the fact that it is a family tradition which you have continued. It's that you are doing something good and positive as opposed to the the guy who never paints his mail box or clears the 4 foot high weeds around it and so on. It's a simple little thing that says a lot about you and your family and it means a lot. Once again well done. B.T.W. very funny at 16.15 approx. Your videos are very entertaining. As another message once said, I am surprised that your view figures are not higher, but give it time. I only saw your name pop up only recently and checked out your videos even though I have been watching US farming videos for the last year or more. All the best. from ex farmer. Ireland.
Hope to see quite a bit of spring prep and planting. Reese get the cameras ready 😆.
Pure Case IH power
Love your channel! Thank you for sharing your farm!
I really enjoyed the video. I am in western kentucky home of H&R agri-power and big tractor power. I seen in one of the previous videos that you purchased the case tractor and planter from H&R and that got my attention to watch your posts.
Your videos are just awesome 👍👍. Thanks for sharing 👍✌️
Great cat work Reese
Duckman's training to fight Creed!! Lol
Eye of the Tiger!
FROM SCHWITZERLAND toujours de bonnes explications `!
Sundays with ivers.
Love the videos! Reese be extra careful inside those bins!!!
Hey Reese, as always enjoyed watching.
34:20. It pays to be the boss😁😁😁👍👍✌️
Awesome video!!
Ur cool 😎😎
Great video like the dozer works and all the bin clean out and the chicken round up,
I enjoy your videos!! I'm ready for spring planting season and I know you guys are too. Be careful!!!
Reese I used to try to do everything by my self until I hurt my back . Now I wished I would have been more careful . Be safe
Looks to me like you should have had some help getting that motor in the bin.
Usually do but no one else was around
The open ended pipes do look like an invitation for water loving critters. Great videos Thanks stay safe
your video taking is really good no problem there all interesting educational and entertaining great job as always
Really like your content
Those little D-5’s are as handy as a rubber track skid loader. You never think you could ever need one or use one until you get it and then you wonder how you ever did without one.
Amen
Love your Chanel wat hing from the nederlands.
10k subs!! Congrats!!
Finally made it
@@iversfarms what's the goal for yr 2? I saw on FB u made ur yr 1 goal.
Reese, appreciate the time and effort the Ivers team puts into these videos. I was wondering if you can discuss why you decide to plant soybeans on 15" rows. Your dad mentioned you had a 20" planter at one time, have you tried soybeans in 30" rows?
They quit doing 30” beans in the 70’s I believe but it’s been awhile. We’ve drilled beans, and have planted 15” rows for several years but we had 20” for several years. I think that’s all you could get the 60’ case at that time.
We like 15” for yield and weed suppression
Another advantage to 15 over 20 is if you have to go through beans when they are big you have a strip with 30 inch beans instead of a 40 inch gap, and we found 30 inch beans yield alright when can plant early, but feel later it gets the more the 15 inch show a yield increase and definitely better for weed control
I still have a rain gauge even after being pushed out of farming 40 years ago. Can't quite put it out yet in northwest Ohio.
lot easier filling the bins
I vote to change Travis’ name from the bearded duck to the rooster wrangler
You may be on to something
We got on about 1200 acres of AA here in Missouri last week. Almost 6 inches of rain this weekend.
Always good to get started. That is a bunch of rain
I like mailbox tractor and rain gage.
Thanks I will leave until fall then put my combine on
Maybe a headlamp would help with the videos when you're in the bins.
They got some things I could add to the go pro that I need to get for better quality
You don’t pet your chickens but but everyone knows you choke them hahaha lololololo!!!! Thank you folks I’ll be here all week two shows nightly.
😂😎
The music on the Peter hits better when it's on the duck's hair (in episode 7 @ 8:20)!! Lol
It's still good here, just not as good!! Lol
I agree, 😂😂😂 best moment on the channel
Why wouldnt you start your drag auger just before your door so you dont have too climb in and you have light from the start?
I simply cant imagine any excuse for the 2160 not being able to run in the new 1200 monitor, WTH case?!
Some glitches in the planter software I’m told
@@iversfarms Oh, so its just tempoary?
@@KNJensen yes
you should have had some help with that motor you could have gotten hurt lifting that up there WOW you did a super job just the same
Usually do, but decided to try it alone this time
He had to do it because I did a few years ago lol
Had one guy putting on anhydrous here just South of Salem, IL but nobody else got that excited. We stuck about 50 acres of tile in the ground though, going to try 22 foot centers. What do you guys normally do for spacing and pipe size?
Just depends on the field usually the laterals are 4” on 40’ centers most of the time
Reese How many row is the new planter?
47
Is the Magnum/corn planter at the farm already?
I went and got it yesterday
Did you get your new 380 to the farm?
Yes, brought it home yesterday
When do you guys usually start planting beans in your area?
As soon as the conditions are good in April
Ever considered a test strip in mid to late March? We've thrown the idea around.
@@paulreynolds4545 yes we have but haven’t done it. I’m sure it’d be fine as long as there isn’t a late freeze after they’re up
Does the Abengoa/Valero Ethanol Plant there in Mount Vernon Indiana take End Dump Trailers or are they Hopper Bottoms Trailers only? I know the one here in Madison IL is Hopper Bottom Trailers only, no End Dump Trailers at all. I wasn’t sure if all of their Facilities are like that.
The one we go to takes either
@@iversfarms Did I understand your Dad (Dennis) right, that he had a Case Ih 20” Row 24 Row before the Deere? Was that for Planting Soybeans only?
Yes before we went green on the planters 4 years ago, we had 20” 36 row (60’)case IH . I can’t remember the number but it was our bean planter for several years. Good planter but heavy
yeah i wouldnt have attempted that alone i dont think, too old for that theses days
How much toll does it cost to take a 620 quad over the Canonball bridge?
3 bucks same as semi
@@dennisivers1602 Thanks!
If you lose footage just illustrate on paper the best you can, use crayons. 😂
Crayons will help the John Deere guys follow along for sure!!
@@trh3919 lol
I got some pretty terrible drawling skills
Great comment!Hey Reese you could just use toys if your not good at drawing😅🤣😂
@@jasonmartin2558 that may work
Already?
So much make up
What do you mean when you say that you are "pushing out terraces"?
That bin sweep motor should be a 2 man job. OHSA may not think to highly of you doing that yourself.
Terraces are water catchers on hilly fields that we use to help stop erosion. After several years you need to push some washed in dirt out of them to keep them draining properly.
I probably have a long list that osha no no’s
I think you will be back to Deere next year😉 because you still might be unfolding😂😂😂😂
Lots of steps for sure
