    Case 580 quadtrac pulling a 50 foot krause soil finisher. Case 535 quadtrac pulling a 70 foot land roller after the soybeans are planted. Johndeere 9400t pulling a kinze 3800 24 row 30 inch planter . Johndeere 4960 pulling a kinze 3600 24 row soybean planter . We have 560 acres of soybeans planted and 200 acres of corn planted but we now have 2 inches of snow so we will have to wait for the ground to dry . Nice video keep up the good work and stay safe!

    I would have thought the tillage implement would require more power than the planter. Why do they have the 620 HP tractor on the planter, and the 470 on the tiller?

    • @bigtractorpower
      @bigtractorpower  3 роки тому

      This farm had three 470 ROWTRACs until last year. Case IH recommends a 620 for the 2160 planter. The 470 is plenty of power for the 2310.

      @@henrylopez5252 that planter pulls harder up the hills and weighs more than the soil finisher . By the time you add the weight of seed fertilizer and then add all the hydraulic power needed to run the vacuum fan and down force it really uses and requires the extra power.

      @@henrylopez5252 we got about 1 inch of snow but mostly rain . The wet snow actually insulates the ground . It kept the beans from getting cold . Honestly it happens every year . I've had beans sit with 6 inches of snow for 4 days and they survive. The corn is what worries us it cannot stand the cold. We warmed up quick today so the crops are fine .

    Can you please convert the numbers in description into metric, just as an additon to the imperial ones you put there? Feets, bushels, yards, pounds...? It would make undestanding the field work you guys do there in the US for the European viewers much easier.

    • @selmirikanovic

      @@freebooter247 Yea, one can easily convert the units online but average viewer would be annoyed to do it all the time, pause the video, google the conversion site, convert the units, figure out the values, go back to video...Imagine the number of viewers ready to do it.It would be much simpler for author to put the converted values next to the original ones.I am mechanical engineer so i have no problem with imperial units but I am sure that lot of european viewers get very confused.It would make channel better and closer to the large group of viewers.
