- The Arizona Trail (AZT) offered a steady string of stunning landscapes, at night the stars and Milky Way were amazing to observe, from the desert to high mountain ridges, the changes in vegetation from pinyon and juniper to manzanilla, cacti, and agave was spectacular.
2023 was a record year of snow in Arizona, some nights were very cold, it was a big challenge that made us physically and mentally exceed our limits.
A big thanks to all the trail angels for their generosity and kindness, they made me love this trail even more.
Depending on your pace, the AZT will require around six to eight weeks to complete, a total distance of around 800 miles.
I've started on March 6th to finish it on April 19th
The highlight of the AZT was the Grand Canyon, from the south to the north rim, it was overall one of the greatest experience I've done, an incredible hiking adventure.

Fantastic video! As every time beautiful images that make you dream and good music. Can't wait to see the next ones!
Thank you JT, I do appreciate it!
I want to know more about those mystery boots at the beginning. Wonder who they belonged to? Also that shot going up the cactus hill was really cool! Love the disparity between the snow up high and the desert below. What was that he was eating? Prickly pear? This has been a great series.
Thank you Seth 😍
These boots the rest a mystery, for now no information about them. I did not expect so much rapid change in elevation during a single day, the azt is not to be taken lightly 😅
It was a Cholla cactus fruits, edible but I not sure about its name!
Hello my friend, your advice on Section A of the GDT for me last summer was invaluable!!! My trip was awesome thanks to your help. I am curious about your resupply on the AZT being a Canadian. I would love to chat about how you went about it. I am scheduled for the first 270kms in the beginning of March.
My pleasure Scott, section A was so epic, I’m very happy you’ve enjoyed it, just the fact that you're talking about it makes me want to go back. For the AZT, first resupply: was in Patagonia to that little store, second: I sent a resupply box to Colossal Cave, and for the third one I’ve resupply in Oracle but this is already mile 201, which is already further than what you are set to do, resupplying on the azt is by far easier and much more accessible than on the GDT. Can’t find the exact website that I took my information about the AZT 😏
Parts of this Country that few people see let alone walk upon. Visuals hard to put into words. Video is just astounding. Thank you.
Glad you liked it! It would take more than a lifetime to discover this incredibly beautiful territory.

Rancho Robles was a great couple of rest days NOBO 2022
This place was some kind of little treasure on the trail, glad I had the chance to stay there.
Wish you got some footage of me doing my taxes in Tucson before this section lol
Yahooooo!
🤣 I was so happy to see you back on trail that fast, looks like you did your taxes in about 10min
Hello Ratatrail! I met you at the end of your trek at the Stateline campground. Still not drinking? Enjoying your videos!
Hi William, I remember you, offering us cold beers, thanks again for your generosity. Didn’t touch any alcohol since January, it’s going well. Glad you liked the AZT videos, do you have any other road trip plans ahead?

That’s a lot of great areas, you’re living the dream! Enjoy 🤠
which town did you send that carepackage?
I sent this resuppy box to Colossal Cave, around mile 119
They accept resupply packages for no fee!
