•Tripod: JOBY Gorillapod 1K Stand with Ulanzi ST-02S Aluminum Phone Tripod Mount
I often hang the tripod on top of the end of my trekking poles to get a higher landscape view.
I’ve used the B4UFLY app to know where the drone was permitted ✅ or restricted 🚫

I watched all of the episodes. So good. I just finished hiking the first piece through Kenosha Pass and we are doing the next 100 in Sept. This really captures the feel and the places and landscapes that stood out to me. Such a nice feel to your videos. Thanks for this.
@@joshallen727 Thank you for the feedback. If this video can encourage hikers to do it, it warms my heart, happy trails!
Wow. Colorado is beautiful. Fantastic job filming. 👏
Thank you Sam! I knew Colorado was magnificent but I didn't expect so much. Really impressed overall, I wanna do it again 😀
I love the views without the gab. The fusion with the drone shots are top notch. I tried to vlog on the AT. I got tired of it and went to Instagram.
Also it looked like you were using a "real" camera. I have a 13 pro and my video is no where as nice as this. Must be the Colorado lighting or were you using some filter in post processing?
Heading to CT this summer and this really got me excited. I might even try video again. Ha!
Thanks again for the work and sharing.
ADD
Thank you ADD, I really appreciate it. Agreed the drone adds another dimension, a bird's eye view, it has become an addiction, of course where it is allowed.
For the iphone it is practically always in auto mode, the only setting I’ve use is when you: touch and hold the focus area until you see AE/AF Lock, so the exposure and the focus stay the same. Didn’t use any filter or anything in post.
You're right about the lightning, open space like the CT, PCT, AZT, CDT, it gives better image quality than filming in a green tunnel.
I hope you will put together a video for us, it's a pleasure to share it and be able to relive the experience, always fun to have a little project when you come back from a long trail.
Take care ADD and enjoy the CT.
You did a wonderful job filming your adventure. I plan on hiking the CT and I want to do it in sections, and this was the section and distance I wanted to do. I am an East Coast hiker and older and I need to give my body a break from our straight up and straight down trials. Those trails look so smooth, ours are like rock gardens and you could never ride a bike on them. How many days did that section take? Any advice? Thanks for taking your time to put this together, you did a wonderful job. Take care
Thank you I really appreciate your feedback! It took us 10 days including a zero in Frisco to complete this section, the grade of the trail is gradual, it gives you time to acclimatize to the altitude, the best advice would be to listen to your body, how it behaves during the hike(first couples of days) and enjoy every moment, don’t forget to take too many photos and videos haha
If you could hike the Collegiate West one day (right after Twin Lakes) it would be so awesome, extremely beautiful!
Take care and happy trails 🤟🏻
@@Ratatrail Thanks so much for your advice. I have been thinking of doing the East West loop first but I am a bit torn because I actually want to do the entire trail just not
all at one time, time restrictions. I generally hike with my dog and need to take her into consideration. As an East Coast hiker we don’t have the altitude but we also don’t have any long water hauls and blazing sun or mountain bikers on the trail. I have been thinking of leaving her home because of the bikes. We have hiked the Long Trial in Vermont a couple of times and she is super fit. Take care
Sweet video :) do you use both water bottles for drinking water or one for a bidet for example? I never see bladders being used...
Thanks! I use the Katadyn BeFree 1L filter to filter into a smart water bottle, I’ve seen some hikers using bladders to carry huge amount of water, instead of carrying 4 water bottles!
He's back with another great adventure! Love that misty shot at the 04:22 mark. Some really nice drone work in this one.
Thank you for your kind word Seth. I highly recommend you to hike this trail if you’re alright with high altitude, it was so worth it!
Yes, loved the intro, great editing and drone shots!
@BriannaRubino-xy7mc thank you Brianna, really appreciated it 🤓
inspiring video. I'm setting my sights on the GDT, but the CT is definitely on my radar after that!
Thanks Jeff I appreciate it! You’re going to love the GDT if you enjoy being surrounded by wild and remote nature, i envy you, good luck on your journey!
Oh, it sounds like you are very professional in various photography equipment. I have always wanted to learn but I don’t know what to buy. Can you give me some advice?
@@BriannaRubino-xy7mc The best advice I can give is to go out there and film no matter what equipment you have, with time and a lot of practice you will develop an ability to create great things.
I filmed on an iPhone 13 Pro and used a DJI mini 3 pro for the drone shots and edit everything on VN a free editing app.
Love the intro, excellent editing and drone shots! Keep it up 👍🏻
Thanks I do appreciate your feedback!
Great video. What were the dates of your CT hike? TIA
Thank you Tia. We started August 11th to Sept 7th, including 3 zeroes and one nero.
@@Ratatrail lol. The TIA was Thanks In Advance. Thanks again.
Lovely video! I am hoping to hike it in 2025.
Thank you Sean! I really hope you can go have fun there, such an incredible trail to discover!
@@Ratatrail thank you! Looking forward to it!
Très belle vidéo avec de belles images, comme d’habitude 😊
Merci Martin, la nature sauvage du Colorado à été surprenante à découvrir, je m’attendais pas à autant de beauté!
Elles sont magnifiques tes vidéos. Keep it up buddy!
J’apprécie Gab, merci! Nature in Colorado is wild and simply majestic.
Mission Walk the World continues with another Sky Tits Studios original production 🚶🏻♂️🚶🏻♂️
I would definitely use this name if I had a movie studio 🤓
