A big thanks to all the trail angels for their generosity and kindness, they made me love this trail even more.
Thanks Derek (Bodhi) for all of the laughs, advice and for being a true friend through ups and downs.
Depending on your pace, the AZT will require around six to eight weeks to complete, a total distance of around 800 miles.
I've started on March 6th to finish it on April 19th
I've used the B4UFLY app to know where the drone was permitted ✅ or restricted 🚫

‘Twas a pleasure brother!
Happy trails all :)
Hey Ratatrail, just finished watching all your AZT videos. I have watched most of what UA-cam has to offer on the AZT and yours are among my favorites. You have a good eye and your sequences and edits were quite artful imho. I must confess to watching them in silence so I could gorge on the epic scenery. Kudos to completing in such a challenging year. I grew up in AZ and have been away for thirty years but am thrilled to be headed back in April to take my turn on the trail. Your videos have brought my anticipation to a fever pitch. Thx for all the hard work in sharing your journey with us.
Thank you Ed, I appreciate the time you took to write this constructive comment, it's motivating to hear that. Not an easy year like you said but loved the beauty the AZT showed us, it was epic. I wish you get less snow(an April start is wiser than early March like we did) and a hike filled with magical moments, take care.
👏 👏 👏 Amazing job! Thanks so much for sharing!!! The footage was incredible!!!
Thanks, it’s motivating to hear your kind words!
What’s next for y’all?
@@hilariousharrison9704 The Colorado Trail in august hopefully🤞
Congratulations! Epic journey in a high a snow no less!
Thank you Sam! The adventure is sadly over but it was a great experience and a bigger challenge than first anticipated.
Bravo! Nicely done.
Thank you Shawn, glad you like it!
Holy shit, congratulations guys what an epic adventure. Autumn Leaves told me only 5 or 6 hikers made it through in 2023. Not sure I would want to put up with that much snow. Hopefully 24 has less, planning on starting a little later than I had originally planned.
Thank you, it was a bit of luck, we started very early in March that’s why we were able to finish it before the GC closure! Very toff with the snow, not sure I would want to do it again in those conditions haha
Damn, did he rip his pants on that posthole? 😆 You captured the majesty of the Grand Canyon and then went straight into crazy snow town. Fantastic series. You had the trip of a lifetime.
Thank you Seth's, taking the time to explore new territory like we do, through beautiful trails like these is priceless.
The hole in the pants was there a long time before this deep post hole 😁 That snow was unexpectedly higher than I first thought. Is the AZT would be your kind of trail?
@@Ratatrail Yeah I would love to check out that trail some day. Beautiful deserts, snowy mountains, grand canyons - you get it all!
Complètement malade! 😍
Haha content que t’ai aimer, le Grand Canyon a été une toff section à cause de la neige coter north rim et aussi la section la plus mémorable.
Awesome scenes but also scary at some spots. I was freaking out there! You guys made it none the less. WHOO HOO from Apache country, Cibecue, AZ!!!
Thank you, I appreciated it! I gotta say it was not easy with all that snow. We pushed beyond our limits to be able to finish it!
You guys were amazing and looked like you really enjoyed yourselves out there! Will be waiting for your next adventure...
Okay, did you have to walk so close to the edge???!!! Made my head spin like I was there. Incredible footage. Was that waterfall Man made or natural?
Thank you Scott! I had no choice but to go through it, I used the wide angle lens for a better view, but it gives the impression that it's really worse than it really was. It looked like natural falls, there was a huge excess of snow in the north rim.
Did you end up having to replace your shoes throughout the trail? I was thinking of wearing the same model on the AZT in 2024.
Kept mine the whole way, they were pretty much dead after finishing it haha
No way, that's great! I got kinda worried about their durability recently after reading some reviews but that's a good testament to their strength@@Ratatrail
What was your favorite part of the trail?
If I had only one choice it would be the Grand Canyon from the south rim to the north rim. The section from Kearny to Superior was also incredibly beautiful.
