  • Willie Robertson loves to compete, but after an unfortunate hair-removal incident and a hilarious failed photo shoot, he realized he wasn't cut out for body transformation competitions. He and son-in-law Christian talk about his status as a badminton legend, the crazy games he dreamed up with his brothers when they couldn't afford sports equipment, and his wild history of sports injuries. For Willie, cultivating a relationship with Jesus is a lot like working toward fitness or weight loss goals. He shares stories about how he lost weight, how he responds to people who say they're not cut out for evangelism, and why you never need to oversell the Gospel. You will laugh so hard at this conversation!

Powerful podcast. Lightbulb moment--spiritual growth requires “legwork” -efforts and sacrifice in diligently studying His Word. Thank you.

They weren't as poor as they make it out to be. He talk of the games the played on his land when they grew up. They were better off than most kids whose girly grew up in poor neighborhoods. Yes poor neighborhoods you could always walk to a ball court. I woulda gave up my folks poor rental for the ability to say I own my own land. The lifestyle they had were just typical folks who lived 20miles outside town. Their vehicles they drove when they were kids, the clothes they wore were much better than many folks I grew up with. It was late 80's 95% of the u.s. did not have ball courts, nice clothes or much else. They weren't that poor, the they were pretty typical kids

Great episode, love the family. But they are just very wealthy now so when they think back it just seems dirt poor

Repent and trust in Jesus. He's the only way. We deserve Hell because we've sinned. Lied, lusted stolen, etc. But God sent his son to die on the cross and rise out of the grave. We can receive forgiveness from Jesus. Repent and put your trust in him.
