I have always like to support the small businesses here in Angeles City and one of the hotels that I like to promote is Rapid Rise Hotel located at the end of A. Santos street. I really enjoyed ABC Hotel while I was there with my wife. It is actually elegant, which is not common for Angeles.
I think I paid around 90 dollars a night.
Clarkton Hotel is also excellent. It is much cheaper (40 to 50 a night). It has a superb European restaurant.
Much nicer than the short time rooms I stayed at in Subic Bay in the 70's!

Having been stationed at Clark in the 1960, I’m fully aware that Angeles City IS NOT JUST ABOUT “WALKING STREET.” Enjoy your trip to Mindinao and the next phase of your life’s journey.
It's nice that the room has a kitchenette. If a guy meets a girl he likes, he can take her there to cook him dinner!

Booked Eurotel last night for 1200 peso per night. I like it there because it has secure parking. But anyway, Philly you old devil, when the cats away the mice will play nudge nudge, wink wink. Have a great time with that robotic man sausage!!😂
I didnt think short time hotels still existed after covid. They are a good idea, especially if you have a night flight home and dont want to pay for a full night at a hotel room if the hotel dont want to let you stay a few more hours and sleep before heading to the bus terminal. I had a few times where i had a 12 am flight back to sydney and had to ask Tiger hotel if i could stay a few more hours. Sometimes they were accomodating, other times not.
The name rapid rise sounds like the name of a gogo bar😊

Those rooms are very nice. I think the only change I would make would be to use white tile on the walls. The (what looks like) black tile always makes a room look 1/2 the size it is....not sure why so many places like that look. I think it is a cultural thing....but a white tile would go a long way from the "bat cave" look. Best of luck on the move, can't wait to see the first postings from the new life as you are exploring around....You will have lots of time to learn to surf since that seems to be a surfing zone....that will be great!

The Philippines is renowned for its short time hotels!! On the weekends you might even have to wait an hour or so to get a short-time room. Best wishes on the next chapter of your life, enjoy the province.

1989....short time was 600 pesos and the rooms were in the back of the bar. If you wanted to take the girl all night, it was 1200 pesos. I spent a few dollars on short time at Vampire bar and the Rolling Tongue.
I can’t imagine someone moving their wife and kids across country. Well, the husband just stays in Angeles city living it up. What a great guy.

I stayed in a cheapo place in Juarez, Mexico back in the '70's I came back with souveniers, Bed bugs and crotch crickets. had to shave down below and blue ointment, boiled my clothes.

I woulda thought, you'd a stayed at the place you liked an recommended a few times where you and the crew went to jump in the pool. Earlier in her stay Bing/Sam had her first swim there. Wrong again huh! Looks ok, this place, Is this the one where you walk down 2-3 flights of stairs from a Roof Bar/Restaurant? Probably wrong again. 12:01pm Tuesday right? Your Right it is a nice place. Been in places where thats happened. K ty m8, don't missya plane Eh! Safe Trip. Really hopein the family has a safe trip too. When in Manila, I kept seeing advertising billboards to the Astrotel. It was one star on Travelocity, but the advertising made it look fun with themed rooms. I joked to my wife, still my GF, that I should've booked my stay there. It was then I learned it was a short time hotel. LMAO
